  1. What’s the opposite of Christopher Reeve? Christopher Walken
  2. Do you think the Buff News writers have beef w/OBD because they have the stones to call out a crappy product and they refuse to tolerate mediocrity? And OBD feels that the Buff News should sugar-coat everything and be grateful they have an NFL team to write about? I do.
  3. They will just raise the minimum price of the tables. Or they bait and switch...one guy will pay $2500 for the same table when you previously said $2k...so will you go $3k? We looked at going to a club called Omnia to see Calvin Harris, but the minimum was $6k...way past what we want to pay. So we're not going there!
  4. Yea $36 drinks plus waiting over an hour to get into the club and nowhere to sit...no thanks. Bottle service is definitely the way to go. Voodoo Lounge looks cool. I may have to check that out too. Not sure the weather will cooperate though...highs only in the low 70s when I'm there. I'm not expecting much from Tao, so I could be pleasantly surprised. Marquee should be fun.
  5. Cool. What night did you go to Hyde? How was the crowd? Younger or older? You liked Hyde better than XS?
  6. To see David Guetta at XS...we're dropping $3k plus tips for an inside table. Should get us 4 bottles for that price. But this is split between 7 guys...
  7. Heading to Vegas for a 3 day bachelor party on 3/10. Bottle service at a different club every night. Going to Tao, Marquee and XS. Can't wait.
  8. This is turning into an epic thread. Thanks for giving me lots of laughs tonight!
  9. I remember hearing on the game broadcast that Fred told his wife he wants to play another 5 years. He's not going anywhere.
  10. Also the 2009 draft. Buddy wasn't the GM until December 31st, 2009. Russ Brandon was the GM in 2009. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3/Brandon-promoted-to-CEO-Nix-named-Bills-GM/c474360d-4157-4de0-a282-cc1fe57be5d3
  11. I've been thinking like this since the Bills / Carolina game. When Carolina scored their last FG, they were covering. At that moment I knew we would be the beneficiary of a "questionable" call and we would get every chance to win that game. Low and behold, big pass interference penalty, and later Stevie Johnson is wide open in the end zone. Hmmmm....
  12. I have a friend who is a Cleveland fan. He said when they left, he didn't follow football anymore. I imagine a similar fate for myself. When the Bills leave Buffalo, they are dead to me. Did Cleveland celebrate Baltimore's SB championship?
  13. Or it's an attempt by the Rogers folks to duck the franchise relocation fee b/c Toronto would already be in the Bills market.
  14. Ralph is a businessman who's business is in Buffalo, NY. He doesn't care what happens to the Bills after he dies. Sad, but true. If he cared, a plan would already have been announced. He needs you to keep showing up to keep his business running. He saw what happened with the Buffalo Braves and learned from it.
  15. It could be wrapped up tomorrow if Erie County footed the entire $200 mil renovation cost. They'd be idiots to do that since Ralph refuses to announce a succession plan for his team. Why spend $200 mil if you don't even know if the team will be here? And Shumer's press conference about altering the repayment rule - I never heard him mention nor anyone ask if the Bills would be interested in his alteration. Would the Bills even want to spend $25 or $50 mil to renovate? They didn't spend a penny for renovations during the last lease. If they don't want to spend any money, I'd tell the Bills to go # themselves. If the new owner moves them to LA, they will have to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in a relocation fee. We know for a fact Ralph isn't moving the team since he's too cheap to pay the relocation fee and he's got major health issues to deal with. Thus, the standoff.
  16. Instead of being force-fed your sports opinions on WGR, you could just read and post your own opinions here on this message board for people to discuss. Much easier to ignore an idiot in print versus having to hear his voice. To each his own I guess...
  17. I should have clarified - tell me a current 2012 NFL qb that will be great in 2013 that isn't an obvious one (Rodgers, Brady, etc).
  18. Can someone tell me the NFL 2013 QBs to watch (that I don't already know about) please? I'm in a dyansty ff league with a salary cap and I need to pickup a guy on the cheap. In all seriousness, let's wait to see what happens in the reg season with Fitz before worrying about this. If we get to the playoffs with Fitz, I don't think they're drafting a qb in the first or trading up to get one. If we don't get to the playoffs, it will be because of qb play. Good thing is I believe we have the right people in place to pick the best guy for the job.
  19. Ratings / market size matter because sports is an entertainment business. Don't lose sight of that, especially at a national level. The Bills will always be David and the Patriots will be Goliath. Cowherd admits to being wrong. They have a whole "Where Colin was right/Where Colin was wrong" segment. Smart people are open to changing their opinions over the course of time. It's because they are constantly re-evaluating and listening to others. My problem is with the classic ESPN talking heads (i.e. Mark Schlereth) who say nothing opinionated or knowledgable, just state the obvious and keep it dumb.
