Thanks!

I should have clarified - tell me a current 2012 NFL qb that will be great in 2013 that isn't an obvious one (Rodgers, Brady, etc).
-
Can someone tell me the NFL 2013 QBs to watch (that I don't already know about) please? I'm in a dyansty ff league with a salary cap and I need to pickup a guy on the cheap. In all seriousness, let's wait to see what happens in the reg season with Fitz before worrying about this. If we get to the playoffs with Fitz, I don't think they're drafting a qb in the first or trading up to get one. If we don't get to the playoffs, it will be because of qb play. Good thing is I believe we have the right people in place to pick the best guy for the job.

Ratings / market size matter because sports is an entertainment business. Don't lose sight of that, especially at a national level. The Bills will always be David and the Patriots will be Goliath. Cowherd admits to being wrong. They have a whole "Where Colin was right/Where Colin was wrong" segment. Smart people are open to changing their opinions over the course of time. It's because they are constantly re-evaluating and listening to others. My problem is with the classic ESPN talking heads (i.e. Mark Schlereth) who say nothing opinionated or knowledgable, just state the obvious and keep it dumb.
-
Why do you hate Cowherd? I think a lot of people hate him b/c he has a strong opinion and likes confrontation. People perceive this as arrogance because they don't like confrontation. His opinions are usually backed up by rational, logical thoughts. To an extent, I think that's why a lot of people hate Schopp and generally like Bulldogg, Coach Sal, etc. The problem w/Schopp is his rational for his opinions has too many holes. Oh, and it's obvious he hates his job.

I know people hate Colin Cowherd, but I heard him describe the Bills today in 3 words: MOST IMPROVED TEAM. It would be nice to hear an opinionated national perspective on our team not named Jim Rome. Can't they move that sylvester show to the evenings? And have it during hockey season? I have zero interest in hockey right now. I'd be curious to see if his ratings resemble my feelings.

Looks like blackout rule won't apply here

The Bills could play their games on the moon and have every single players contract paid for with the TV money they get. They need to change this rule. -
What's in it for Rogers Communications?
dancing_joker replied to Rivermont Mike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What's in it for Rogers? Simple - they won't have to pay a relocation fee when they buy the Bills and move them to Toronto after Ralph dies. They can claim that Toronto is in the Bills market since the Bills play home games there, thus saving them hundreds of millions of dollars. -
Surviving life after the NFL
dancing_joker replied to Wooderson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Koonce brings up an interesting point - why don't we hear about more former NBA players committing suicide? The former NBA players are dealing with the same "loss of purpose" issues that former NFL players are. You have to think all those hits to the head are playing a role. I wonder what the suicide rate is for former pro boxers? -
1st round grades by Pete Prisco
dancing_joker replied to erynthered's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cowherd said we had the best draft thus far. I'm not joking. He includes free agency moves in his overall draft grade. -
Very cool.

Hope it works out for him. I really don't care. We have an awesome front 4 now. No need to stress out about a 3rd round pick from 2 years ago.

Even if DirecTV didn't have NFL network, it's still far superior to TWC. Their guide is way better than TWC. You can filter out any channels you don't want to see. That means no more scrolling through annoying infomercial channels to see the real channels. The HD and standard def channels are weaved together...no more starting at channel 700 on your guide. And they still give occasional free movie preview weeekends for the pay channels. Their whole-house DVR functionality is also better and cheaper than TWC. We recently tried to switch back to TWC after having DirecTV for a couple years and hated it. Went back to DirecTV after 2 weeks. If we ever get rid of DirecTV again, it'll be to cut the cord entirely.

Of course you can leave for a college school. You can do anything you want. Regards, Bobby Petrino

Eight reasons why Mario was a bad signing
dancing_joker replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bruce Sniff didn't struggle with coke. He dominated it. -
I believe Hose went to Mexico. Loved the enthusiam from Brad, Jeremy, and Bulldog. Schopp seemed like he was faking it.

Great article. But Mark Gaughan wrote it, not Tim Graham. Give credit where credit is due.

Disclaimer: Unconfirmed New Owner?
dancing_joker replied to It's in My Blood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I'll be sure to feel REALLY sorry for anyone that has to pay 35 or even a 50% tax on inheriting $700 million dollars. Boo hoo. -
Buddy Nix press conference today @11am
dancing_joker replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills 2012 first round draft pick will be a WR. Guaranteed. How do I know this? Go re-read John Wawrow's AP article from a month or so ago when Ralph Wilson told JW that Fitz needs receivers to throw to. -
Does Gronk make Troup the worst Bills 2nd rounder
dancing_joker replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I remember correctly, when they picked Troup, Nix said the "draft experts" felt other NTs were ranked higher, but he trusted his own scouting reports. The 2010 draft class was a disaster, and Modrak was let go the following year. Wonder if this Troup pick played into the decision to dump Modrak? -
If you were, you'd know how to spell your own last name.

Why is everyone so worried about Stevie signing somewhere else? The Bills can use their franchise tag on him. The tag for WR is somewhere around 7.5 mil. I think that's a good number for him.
-
How many times can he tell his boss that he has no answers? The owner himself hasn't had any answers in 12 years. Business as usual.
-
I think the biggest problem is we need Dareus AND Miller AND Green. It's hard to find ALL those guys in one draft. But they need to find them quickly and not waste their top picks. Hopefully Dareus is the start of a run of good draft picks.

Phil Simms on the "Suck for Luck" campaigns
dancing_joker replied to Hplarrm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So did Phil Simms actually say something negative about Luck? Or did he just say don't immediately annoint him the next Peyton Manning?
