For as much as we complain about officiating when calls go against us I think it's only fair to point out that we got some big calls in our favor today. 1. Karlos Williams clearly fumbled the ball on his 2nd quarter TD run before the ball broke the plane. The endzone camera angle showed this. Should have been a touchback, Miami's ball. 2. Suh had Tyrod spun around just before the long TD pass to Sammy and it should have been registered as a sack. If it would have been called a sack as it should have been Miami would have declined the penalty, we would have punted, and that would have meant no TD pass to Sammy. At the end of the day a win is a win and I'm glad we won. I still think we deserved the win especially after the many times we've been hosed by bad calls in the past. But I think it needs to be pointed out that we got some breaks today.

I don't think we are in nearly as bad of shape as the Browns and 49ers. Especially if we can get TT back this week.

Would you want Wade Phillips back as HC?

held on to Deangelo WIlliams on one of my fantasy teams just in case. Sounds like that may pay off down the stretch. -

Jets w/ Fitz: 4-2, came within a TD of NE Jets w/o Fitz: getting slaughtered by the Raiders Boy, Fitz is terrible.

What the Models Predict for the Rest of the Season
Talley56 replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This seems wildly pessimistic. They will run over us even if they don't have Romo? They haven't won a game without him and even with him they should have lost week 1. But I will say I think we are a 7-9 to 8-8 team. May depend on when we get TT back and if we can get other key players healthy down the stretch. -
As much as I like Glenn, at this point, I kind of hope he's dead only because they would have to pull something kind of dumb to keep him alive. Even if the whole pulling Nick's body on top of his comes true that just seems a little too far-fetched.

Crowd Sourcing Worst Bills Losses Since 1997
Talley56 replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One that has always flown beneath the radar in my mind is San Fran in 2008. We were 6-5 and still very well in the playoff race. The week before we had gotten a big win in KC to get some momentum back after a string of tough losses. In came the sorry Niners led by Mike Singletary at HC and Shaun Hill at QB. We had no excuse to lose this game and yet we completely lay an egg and lose 10-3 missing 2 field goals (one from 40 and one even from 20). -
Patriots; Greatest franchise ever

A number of olympic athletes have had medals taken away due to performance enhancements even though they "still had to go out and perform". USC got a national championship taken away to due to "improper gifts" given to Reggie Bush even though they "still had to go out and perform". Patriots though get away with cheating because only in their case will the "still had to go out and perform" rule negate their cheating. -
Bills in the Playoffs and Pats SB 50 Win or....
Talley56 replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, #2, I know we are desperate to break the playoff drought but if we go once and just get beaten right off the bat it won't really mean a whole lot IMO. Meanwhile I was tired of NE 10 years ago. I am sick of them beyond words now. As far as tonight, rooting for Miami. Our game against Miami next week is far more important to our playoff hopes than a game going on during our bye week. -
Crowd Sourcing Worst Bills Losses Since 1997

Interestingly, 2 losses to the Browns would probably easily be in our top 5 (MNF game in 2008, had a winning record up until this loss, 29-27 loss, Trent throws three interceptions in 1st quarter) and of course (6-3 loss in 2009 at home to winless Browns, most pathetic game ever played). -
I'd say yes, and honestly, even if the Pats smoke them tomorrow, I'll still say it. I know the popular opinion seems to be "they beat crappy teams, they'll be brought back down to earth when they start playing real competition". Say what you want about how bad the Titans and Texans are but Miamis' previous games include a loss to Jacksonville and barely beating Washington it darn sure looks like he's made a vast difference. Gonna be a lot tougher to beat them next week than it was in week 3.

Exactly, I'm sure Trent, Fitz, EJ all took similar crap on social media when they were working their tails off trying to win and just simply weren't good enough. Didn't see them complain back at everyone.

I will say this, Sammy says what he "once" to say.

I really do think we can win again when Tyrod comes back. #Notdoneyet -
Cleveland fan turns lawn into graveyard for Browns QBs
Talley56 replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say Browns fans are one of the few fan-bases that have had it worse than us. 2 playoff births and no division titles since 1989. Been to the playoffs more recently but only by a few years. At least we had the 90s. -
Any QB who can win games with the Raiders seems pretty legit to me. They have the Jets next week then the Steelers after that (perhaps with Ben coming back?) if they can win those games, no question he's the real deal.

Not as much as I would be if we didn't also get a call in our favor.

I was thinking the same thing. From my view, which wasn't the best I'll admit, I thought it was PI. It may have been incidental contact but I don't know, looked like we got away with one there. That's why I'm not so upset over the horrible PI called against Robey on the last drive.

Never said they wouldn't suffer, but lose to a team like Jacksonville? I don't think any of those teams would let that happen.
