  1. Way too soon to officially compare him to anyone yet but I know his growth (not necessarily style of play) has been compared to Rodgers in that he waited a few years behind a veteran before starting. Keep in mind even after sitting for a few years Rodgers failed to get Green Bay into the post season in his first full year as the starter. In fact, GB went 6-10 that year.
  2. What I don't agree with is basing our disappointment on the wins we've had. Not saying they weren't impressive wins but Miami may be the worst team in the league and Indy, aside from Luck, may be second worse.
  3. Sorry, but please no, He didn't do squat for us except fumble away the game against KC last year. Our running problems against the Giants were because of the O-line, not because we didn't have a fast enough back. Brown wouldn't have done anything to fix that.
  4. I think one could make the argument that it was not on purpose if his foot had gone out more, like in a line, but the fact that it curved back around like a "c" motion makes it look like it was intentional.
  5. fixed, the hold was a good call and the chop block was close enough to be called.
  6. We were outplayed and lost fair and square, period.
  7. Yeah, play-calling today was just as bad as the execution. The screen pass on 3rd down right before the missed field goal and the 4th down pass to Karlos WIlliams short of the goal line were Hackett-esque
  8. Unfortunately, it looked like a good call to me. From what I've seen it definitely looks like it's in the area of the thigh and I'm sure the refs are told that if it's even close to the thigh call it. Can't really dispute that. I'll admit I missed it but everyone I was watching the game with at the bar made it sound like it was a pretty blatant hold.
  9. Change the jumbotron at the Ralph so that it only shows Roman Numerals But in all seriousness, while Roman's impact has been incredible and it would hurt to lose him next year I might suggest that we can still have a successful offense even if he leaves. To be honest if TT really is as good as what he's shown so far and if Karlos Williams can keep running the way he has I really think the offense shouldn't miss too much of a beat if Roman leaves.
  10. kneel down..... oh, wait, first play..... 11 yard pass to Clay
  11. Just missed the deadline. Is it too late to extend it to 12:50 Sunday knowing that we just can't pick on the TNF game?
  12. I'm thinking there's a good chance we could be competing with the Steelers for a wild card sport. Go Ravens!
  13. No one has done it yet so I guess I will: Giants 20-19 Anyway, actual pick, Bills win 30 - 17
  14. I may be in the minority on this but I still think Manziel has potential. I think he's shown flashes of it too. I think given time he can develop in to a franchise QB. But of course I could be way wrong on that and all in all for as frustrated as we've been with the Bills, Browns fans are far worse off than we are. They have only made the playoffs twice since 89 and they just seem to repeatedly have no hope to do anything each year. We only have one team in our division who owns us time and time again. They have three teams who have been practically perennial playoff teams for the past few years to contend with.
  15. I wonder, if the Rams don't go to the playoffs this year, will Jeff Fisher's job be in danger. He may not be first but it seems like they have high hopes every year yet they never do anything except give the Seahawks problems. As far as first to go, I'd say Philbin however if the Eagles start losing again (say to the Redskins next week) and never recover I could see Kelly going soon too.
  16. The whole game no but for one thing that one bonheaded play was so bad it was worth about 5 boneheaded plays and since the Jets came within a TD by the end of the game it very well could have been the difference between a win and a loss. Plus, it was not the only bad play he made. Did you see, on another play, Fitz throw a perfect pass right to Marshall which bounced right off his hands and into the hands of a defender?
  17. I'm rooting for the game to be so bad that London doesn't want the NFL and we can stop these overseas games.
  18. Brandon Marshall may have cost Fitz a 3-0 start. I'd say he has done fine there. Not great but just fine.
  19. Funny, I see this topic and then I go to espn.com and find this article on the front (only for insiders): http://espn.go.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/13761265/why-new-england-patriots-team-firepower-go-16-0-again-nfl
  20. I think some just weren't going to be happy with anything but a QB at that pick. Good point but I'm not sure that you can really fault him too much for that. I like the fact that when the ball was in the air he instinctively grabbed it.
  21. Agreed, after 2008 and 2011 I'm not going to get too excited until we consistently win into November.
  22. I don't think you can give it to just Incognito. The whole line played equally well today so if you are going to go Incognito I'd say entire o-line. I might give it to Darby. Dude was making plays in the secondary all night even with his own teammate knocking him out twice. Between him and Karlos Williams, we had a great draft without having a first round draft pick.
  23. Go Ravens, I think it's more likely we will have to compete with the Bengals for a wildcard spot so we need them to lose.
  24. Sam Bradford, Jay Cutler, Blake Bortles, and Kirk Cousins all belong in the question mark category. Unless the question mark category is more for QBs who haven't had a lot of starts as oppposed to QBs who haven't performed as well but none of them have done anything to prove they should be ahead of TT or Derek Carr.
