  1. You need to suck it up & not get down. Things will get better. If it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger.
  2. No no. I thought the comment was funny i.e. humourous (no sarcasm intended).
  3. Funny. Bills fans have fathomed the cosmic notion of absurdity. The philosophers of France have absolutely nothing on us. We could school them.
  4. I will always follow and support the Bills, but my interest is entirely clinical at this point. My feelings really cannot be hurt. I am not enthused or passionate about the games. Instead I problem solve. I know before the game begins that I will be looking at a thing that that is badly broken and underperforming. The challenge is to understand every aspect of a complicated problem: the continuing interest is in seeing if those in charge will or can do anything about it. I do believe that it is impossible for things to continue in this way and indeed they are so bad that they can only eventually get better. The end of tragedy is comedy and vice versa. It is an inevitable cycle. I feel sorry for anyone associated with this team, players, coaches, fans, who has not managed to achieve stoic indifference.
  5. Ok ok you're fantastic, absolutely fantastic.
  6. I would rather get an offensive line and a pro type quarterback who can move well in the pocket and make all the throws (like successful NFL quarterbacks do). That is not Mike Vick. Never has been. To believe otherwise is to say that Atlanta would be better off today with Vick than with Matt Ryan. If the comeback is that Vick cant play the way he used to, well then why should we sign a player whose skills have deteriorated? Our FO would simply cement their reputation as suckers. Even they know well enough not to do this.
  7. Orapko...Oher...or other available picks at positions of need who are making an immediate impact, like Brian Cushing, Larry English (who is being groomed to replace Meriman) and many others... the best "developmental" player in the draft was Michael Johnson, and he went in the third round. Maybin's selection with the first pick caused us to have a good draft, but not a great one.
  8. He will not make the Bills a contender. If he is so good why don't the Eagles keep him and trade Kolb to us? They won't, because they know Kolb is better. This franchise cannot afford further costly player personnel mistakes.
  9. Why are you doing this? Merely for your own amusement?
  10. Dick Jauron and Mike Martz - the perfect put/call combo.
  11. He beat Darelle Reevis two years ago in NY. On the other hand he was beaten by DeAngelo Hall last year in Buffalo (maybe a bad call, since a tie goes to the receiver). He is actually a reliable receiver with superior ball skills. Has never played with a good quarterback.
  12. ...and you would not be on the road to Canton (don't worry, Lee isn't either).
  13. Exactly. Before giving the OBD crew too much credit for a good secondary we should consider how they have mismanaged their resources in that area as well.
  14. Don't you see. Dick Jauron does not like offences. He is a DB coach or at best a DC. A good offence to him means the kind of offence he would like to go against. He has created his his ideal offence, right here in Buffalo.
  15. Be careful. Watching will actually ruin your vacation.
  16. My heart says DT (T.Cody): My head says QB (Locker).
  17. For some reason he was seen as argumentative, not coachable and potentially a locker room lawyer. He was otherwise regarded talent-wise as a first day pick. There apparently was no attitude issues in Green Bay however. He's just not nearly ready, as I'm sure everyone has noticed.
  18. Just my opinion but I think that their chances of winning take a big dip if AJ does not play. I do not think that Slayton and Owen Daniels give them more than a 50% chance of beating us at home. It becomes a lot more like a 50/50 proposition. We also don't know which Texan team will show up. They are very inconsistent and with a game coming up against Indy the Bills game looks a lot like a trap for a team like this.
  19. I have seen all or part of every Bears games this year. Like I said Pace is still playing and reasonably well IMO. Jones, Pace and possibly J. Ogden are the three current HOF candidates for the position. Jones and Pace are first ballot locks. The comment was really with espect to Mora's claim that Jones was the standard. I'm saying he is not necessarily above the other two, especially O. Pace, even though I can understand why Mora would say that..
  20. Or how about another run stuffing DT?
  21. Too bad. A wonderful player. Not sure I agree with Mora though. O. Pace is maybe even better (and can still play).
  22. I thought Peters played pretty well overall. One exception was getting badly beat by Carter who jumped over Peters chop block and blindsided DM, just about killing him. Good thing Donovan is so big and able to take hits like that.
