  1. They did a fake jet sweep to Woods, followed by the pass to Woods (vs Bears). Could be a sign of more jet sweeps in the gameplan. Most likely to Woods though, because he is the slot guy.
  2. The trade looked great the day it happened. That's just how bad Sheppard was. Can't say Whaley was brilliant since it was basically a no-brainer. If anything, it made the Colts look stupid for their misuse of Hughes.
  3. I thought McKelvin was great last year. Sure, he had a bad game but there could be other factors. Marshall and Jeffery are elite and bigger than most WRs. I noticed that Graham was using more hands than McKelvin. Perhaps he was adjusting to the new emphasis on illegal contact, while Graham was just lucky to not get called. Also the forced fumble was pivotal. I have faith in Leodis.
  4. Take Ridge Rd exit to Abbott all the way to stadium. It opens up to 4 lanes past Milestrip. Smooth sailing the whole way.
  5. I still don't think Tuel got a fair shot. How many of his mistakes were targeting TJ, the world's worst football player of all time? Same with Palmer, Thad, EJ, Fitz, and Russel Wilson was also benched under those conditions.
  6. Look! The flag hit Kyle right in the face! How can you pick that up!?!
  7. It's going to be closer than 7. I'd also take the under. The Bills D is going to keep the score low.
  8. Sammy Morris was a great player and should've been kept. I believe he earned a Super Bowl ring or 2 with the Pats. Edit-ok no rings, but still a very solid player and super nice guy (he gave me an autographed card when I noticed him at Blockbuster video.)
  9. I'm hoping that Hackett watched the game and took notes. The way the Seahawks use their weapons is impressive. Jet sweeps, options, fake jet sweeps, fake options, tricky routes with synergy. Nothing they do is obvious. Our D is good enough. We have the weapons. Why not us?
  10. It's safe to say that Watkins is writing checks that EJ can't cash. Who's gonna pay the Bills?
  11. If EJ can't look at least as decent as Thad vs Miami week 2, and somehow fails to win, then a benching shall be in order.
  12. EJ was a mid-round talent. Even though he was drafted in the 1st round, that doesn't magically make him a better player. Let's just expect EJ to have the career of a mid-round QB, with less than a 5% chance of making it, instead of wondering why he's not better. He's actually just as good as he should be, just not as good as we'd expect from a 1st rounder, but that's what you get when the GM makes reaches like this out of desperation.
  13. Kyle Orton. It's looking more and more likely that our QB problem will soon be with Orton. He's getting $5 Million which seems needlessly high. Money like that would be crazy to spend on a last minute acquisition who just announced retirement, UNLESS they intend for him to be starting sooner than later, IMO.
  14. Big hands. No problems with grip like Fitz always seemed to have.
  15. He wasn't cut soon enough. 2 years of hogging the field, doing next to nothing. Taking the reps away from someone more worthy. (Nelson, Easley,,,, Hogan?)
  16. TJ has lost us games. Too many to count at this point. The jump reference is from his last play of the last game vs Pats (Blount Trauma Bowl). He had a nice pass in his hands on 4th & Short but chose to jump and catch it in his body. It bounced out. Pathetic excuse for a football player.
  17. Tuel will likely be starting by week 2 Just look at last year. All the QBs got clobbered at some point but Tuel stayed healthy and played decent vs Chiefs. TJ fumbled away any chance for him to win that game. He threw a nice rollout, under pressure to TJ in HoF game, but TJ forgot where the chains were. Had another off TJs hands for INT. Why not try giving Tuel a decent target other than TJ? He was connecting with Gurley just fine. His short passes are much better than EJs. His deep passes are more accurate. He probably has a more realistic post game press conference perspective as well.
  18. The only player who consistently played hard throughout preseason, cut to make room for TJ. Just fire everyone...
  19. I agree with the notion of not punting but not with this team. In fact, the D on this team might be more capable of scoring than the offense. Field position is important when the D is this good. My priority would be finding a new lefty punter. (Belichick likes lefty punters so we should too.)
  20. It's mind boggling how bad TJ is. Major liability. He might be the worst player I've ever seen. Can we trade him for a new bench or one of those big Gatorade coolers?
  21. The TJ trade up is the most bizarre draft maneuver I've ever witnessed. Trading away that 7th only leap frogged Jacksonville who already drated Blackmon. The chances of them wanting TJ were pretty much zero. He was always considered a long shot prospect, not a 3rd rounder by any stretch of the imagination. This was obvious then, confirmed by his constant failure. Why is he still here?
  22. Listening to Marrone is like listening to someone pour a glass of water.
  23. If you want to "win now," Incognito can be the difference. If you don't want to see EJ end up a bust, Incognito can be the difference. Put harsh criticisms of his character aside because you WANT an A-hole on your O-line! He harasses people? GOOD! That's a quality Guard's job. Pick up the phone, Whaley!
  24. "Oh, you wanted Ponder?! I thought you said Palmer."
  25. Perhaps Doug is less than thrilled about the QB situation. Swapping Thad for Palmer doesn't help in the short term whatsoever. All these guys have is short term. They are all going to be unemployed in 3 months.
