  1. Yep,... I was about to say!
  2. I've been saying Kirkpatrick in Round 1 too... I would be thrilled with this in our first 3!!
  3. I'm not sure that other's similar list have too many different people. Perhaps the order a bit different. Likely our first 2 picks are on this list, don't you think?
  4. This was just published on NFL.com of top 50 ranked prospects. I expect our first and second round picks will be off this list. Who will they be> Round 1 -- #13, CB, Dre Kirkpatrick Round 2 -- #39, LB, Zach Brown
  5. No its not unreal... its straight luck. Anytime you "grab a pro-bowl caliber player" after the about the 4th round you got lucky. If you had any sense that the guy could be a starter, much less a pro-bowler you better grab him by then. Anytime you look at "re-drafts" of the a previous draft, by the time you reach the end of the first round you can barely find quality players. My classic example is that the Patriots are the luckiest team on the planet having chosen Brady in the 6th round. Not giving them any credit for skilled drafting. They won the lottery. If they had any clue that Brady could be a legitimate starter, much less a first ballot HOFer, they would have picked him by the 3rd round.
  6. Well, the guy we drafted with that pick is Eric Wood, who's had his share, including an ACL he'll be coming back from hopefully this next season. We haven't fared much better on that front...
  7. Clearly the hang-up for the Bills and others is the injury history. I think they should push hard to get Demetrius Bell back on a 1 year deal. If he can stay healthy and have a big year, then he'll get paid, big time after that. If he can't then everyone will have their final answer on him. One year, prove it and then get the payday. He'd still be young and would be able to get a big contract from us or in free agency...
  8. Latest Mock Draft by Brian Baldinger on nfl.com Yet another mock draft Shows Kalil dropping to 6th to the Rams... would that be a tempting trade-up? Per the draft value chart, to move from 10 to 6 would likely cost our 3rd and our first 4th round pick this year... 2nd rounder is too rich. Any takers in this scenario?? Seems like a good move if this came to pass?
  9. Man, that's harsh... what were you saying about him last week and the week before when he signed Mario Williams and Marc Anderson??
  10. I generally like the other three options the poster presents than trading up. Giving the cost of the move to #2 by the Redskins, I don't think it would be possible to get up to #3 without giving up too much... but its a valid option as argued If Kalil last beyond #3 (due to trade-up or otherwise), then this may start to make more sense
  11. I think the poster was looking for realistic guesses as to who would be available at #10. We would all pick either Luck or RG if we could chose from anyone... I think we will draft based on position. For example, a mock draft today at RB Trent Richardson being available at #10, but I doubt we would pick him. I have to believe that QB, RB, DT, S and TE are off the table.... So I think the realistic candidates are Floyd (WR), Kirkpatrick (CB), Ingram (DE), Reiff (OT), Keuchly (LB) or DeCastro (G). My guess is that they will pick Reiff,... but I hope its Floyd or Kirkpatrick. If all 6 of these are available when we pick, I hope we can find a way to trade back a few slots.
  12. This guy didn't make it to the NFL but had a 1-AA career at Eastern Illinois... yes its xxxx
  13. +1,... need to have him! I still laugh at a joke someone made last year when he was signed referring to him as Gucci Onabagel...hahaha
  14. I think I'm starting to like choosing Dre Kirkpatrick / CB. He's big, tough and fast. We need another guy, clearly its not McKelvin, McGee's getting old and too often injured and Drayton Florence is also getting up there. Hopefully Williams is the real deal this year. I think we need another CB... Great move in solving D-line problems. I would resign Bell and extend Freddie Jackson (we need some love for him) and then just focus on the draft!
  15. Agree totally. I'd love to see him come back and take the talk of top 10 OT out of the conversation
  16. Bingo,... particularly w/ Okoye. Only 24? Somebody should have gobbled him up by now and I haven't even seen an article on him visiting teams??
  17. Looking at the latest mock draft since the free agency, only Bucky Brooks has updated since Mario Williams signing NFL.com Mock Drafts Now we have Manning going to the Broncos and the Dolphins missing out on both him and Flynn. I'm assuming Alex Smith will be resigned by 49ers quickly now that Manning is off the table. I think we can now guess that Miami will need to pick Tannehill at #8 making it 3 QBs in the top 10 leading up to our pick. So the question to the group is who will drop to us at #10 or give us a new trade back possibility??? I don't have a clue, that's why I'm asking... I don't like Brooks' Jonathan Martin pick.
  18. Absolutely,... IMO, that 4th spot should be Carrington's to lose. If he can't do it, then consider the others. He's going into his 3rd year and it has to be him!
  19. That was my first reaction too... or it could mean that Manning plus Wayne is coming?? I can read it either way at the moement
  20. I hope Demetrius Bell,... we can't lose a good starting LT and then look to use our 1st round pick on his replacement. That's the strategy that has us drafting 3 RBs in the first round this past decade. Sign D Bell...
  21. Stevie Johnson + #10 pick + cash to spend elsewhere >> Mike Wallace
  22. AMEN! Its infinitely sexier when a woman is older and looks great. Its a dime-a-dozen to look good in your '20s. Hope she rocks it!
  23. Yeah, we'll be able to spend "cash to the cap" to replace Bell and Johnson... Round 1 we pick replacement OT, Round 2 replacement WR,... then in Round 3 we can select a replacement TE and let Chandler walk too
  24. Thx... I'm irritated with the entire management of this team across multiple GMs/Coaches. Indications seem that they're ready to let Bell walk and we're going to get the BS about not being able to resign Stevie Johnson. We hit on 2 7th round draft picks, who are now going into their prime. They're the best picks the team has made in the past 5 years and they're going to walk and then everyone will be talking about the guys that need to be drafted in 1st or 2nd round to replace them... Meanwhile we don't have a 1st/2nd round pick on the roster who's approaching the Pro Bowl (maybe Levitre). Furthermore, our MVP running back is also undrafted, while we've picked 2 RBs in the first round this decade that we haven't kept to contribute to the team and a third who's the back-up. Three #1 picks spent on RBs this decade! Then the guys we extend are all the wrong choices that the whole board lets out a collective groan as soon as they occur. Terrence McGee over Jabari Greer a few years ago and Chris Kelsay last year. Is it any wonder we end each season on demoralizing losing streaks. -- Sign Bell/Johnson/Chandler -- Extend Jackson in a realistic way (high dollar next 2 years, more incentive based later) so we're not forced to cut him in 2 years -- Keep drafting for defense -- Cut loose McGee/Kelsay
