  1. Wasn't he in Godfather 3?
  2. See this is why we were having the Dan Marion conversation yesterday...
  3. Appearing on the Bills Blog... Hmmmm, shouldn't they be looking to get him down to 280 so he can play end more effectively. I don't see a move to the inside as a winner for him. This basically plays Carrington v. Troup to see who survives as a backup. I'd rather give him a shot at knocking off Kelsay on the outside. If he rose to the occasion on that would love to see Williams, Anderson and Carrington as our top 3 DEs In Buddy we trust??
  4. This draft is interesting, but it doesn't take into account trade-downs... if one or both of these guys were still around approaching our pick, both the Jags (#7) and Panthers (#9) would be candidates to trade back and someone would jump in front of us to grab them... bummer
  5. Look how far its gone without any mention of draft scenarios...
  6. that reminds me, I need a haircut...
  7. Yeah, dats what Marinaro sounded like this mornin' Thank you... getting a bit slap-happy waiting for Thursday
  8. Ha, laughing at myself... of course I meant Marino. No point to the thread. Just wanted a moment on a different topic than the draft Back to who we might select....
  9. He was pitching something and talking about the draft. Can't recount anything specific he opined about as he sounded borderline illiterate... still hate him
  10. By that draft value chart , isn't #10 (1300) plus #74 (220) good enough (1520 > 1500)? That doesn't seem like a bad deal...
  11. If he gets to the Panthers and Cox, Poe and Coples are all on the board, then the Panthers have an opportunity to trade out. Cardinals at #13 have a bunch of mocks showing them picking OT. They could easily jump ahead of us and the Panthers would still get one of those three...
  12. if we can't trade down and that's who they like. At the end of the day all that matters is that the guy is a player and will be a starter. Look at all the first round Redrafts that have been published that look 3-4 years back. Here's one... 2008 While 8 of the top 10 picks are deemed "first round worthy" in this re-draft, only Matt Ryan and Sedrick Ellis were picked where they should. The rest all move back at least 5 slots with Glenn Dorsey moving from #5 back to #18 and Keith Rivers moving from #9 back to #24 and has since been cut. Look at the end of the first round, our Stevie Johnson, on the basis of performance of this draft class should have been a 1st round pick. IF they like Kirkpatrick and can trade back, absolutely do it, but if they can't they should pick him...
  13. Our CBs did get just a bit lit up last year. Some of it is due to pass rush, but I think it goes deeper than that. Go back to the first Jets game. Their offense came in reeling, barely able to move. Then we made Sanchez look like a pro-bowler he was hitting short an intermediate routes with ease to wide-open receivers. Terrence McGee is getting old and injured too often, still bitter we signed him over Jabari Greer a few years ago. Drayton Florence is OK, but inconsistent. Leodis McKelvin still hasn't been able to win a starting job in his own right without someone being injured despite being the "best CB in the draft" and #11 pick. And we'll find out if Aaron Williams is the real deal this year. CB is not a crazy pick and Kirkpatrick is a hell of a player...
  14. Wow, near universal agreement on this board. Could have responded to any of these posts, but chose this one as you were having a cold one!
  15. I agree. Very little chance of Bills moving up...
  16. This is the latest revolving mock from nfl.com If Tannehill is still there at 10 and we don't find a trading partner that to move back, that would be just crazy
  17. He knows the offense here and all the terminology with it. On a 1 year deal essentially, looking to show everything and cash in the year after, I would stick with what I know. If our defense is better and Fred Jackson is back, we could be a hot rising team again and Bell would benefit from that. With a left handed and highly mobile guy like Vick and learning a new offense, he's taking a big risk.
  18. Exactly,... this was stupid on Bell's part. I think pride in staying w/ the Bills on a 1 year deal got in the way of a better business decision
  19. This is stupid on Bell's part. In a 1 year showcase he should have stayed with the Bills and could have done as well here. He already knows the offense. That's what I was advocating on another thread on Bell. If he has a good year and stays healthy he can cash in then with an even bigger contract. He would be 28 and just hitting his prime... if he has a bad year, the Eagles will let him go at the end of the year, just like the Bills would have. I think he could have done better by doing a 1 year deal w/ the Bills
  20. Yep,... I was about to say!
  21. I've been saying Kirkpatrick in Round 1 too... I would be thrilled with this in our first 3!!
  22. I'm not sure that other's similar list have too many different people. Perhaps the order a bit different. Likely our first 2 picks are on this list, don't you think?
  23. This was just published on NFL.com of top 50 ranked prospects. I expect our first and second round picks will be off this list. Who will they be> Round 1 -- #13, CB, Dre Kirkpatrick Round 2 -- #39, LB, Zach Brown
