  1. I'm liking Carrington, but lets be fair, he hasn't done near enough... Moats knocked out Brett Favre and ended his consecutive start streak... Easley returned one of his only touches for a TD on a KO last year... there's video of Zebrie Sanders unbelievably disciplined and motionless in his stance in a college game when everyone else around executes a botched play... alll these guys have had moments
  2. I agree he's had a some good moments last year and I like him a lot, but I think he does belong on this list. Three years and only a handful of starts due to injuries to others. At this time he's a career backup.
  3. Still would love to see Easley succeed.... but I think my vote has to go to Carrington. I think he'll thrive in this multi-position DT/DE/LB type role that Pettine's news conference yesterday talked about
  4. hmmm,... not sure I buy that?? He really wasn't an "often interviewed" guy. thx! Got it....
  5. What's up with that??? New GM seems to be an important enough position.... they had one to introduce Kevin Kolb for crying out loud....
  6. Yeah, I guess we don't know?? Nothing about it in the press..... again, if not him then who?
  7. Don't we need to bring in a vet? If we may be starting a rookie QB, plus essentially a rookie WR corp after Stevie, then we need to have an a$$-kicking OL. LG is just a glaring hole. If a someone rises to the occasion then that's fine, but they need to make a more definative move to solidify that part of the line. I'm not sure what kind of offense is going to be run where the guards are inconsequential? That just doesn't make sense, particularly in the running game.
  8. Not sure what they're basing that on as he was IRed all last year and luck too, the one time I was at training camp he looked just awful. I would want to have a good starting candidate throughout training camp and even in the mandatory minicamps. I would think they need to do something pretty soon to address the position. If I'm not mistaken under the new CBA, June 1 cuts can be made now with the cap hit allocated as before. There's no longer a fresh round of cuts on 6/1
  9. Haha!
  10. We can't seriously be thinking about starting Colin Brown or hoping someone even lower on the depth chart can start... Why haven't OBD looked more seriously at Brandon Moore? Seems like the guy we need? Any other suggestions out there for our Game 1 starter??
  11. Actually I am! I've analyzed the schedule, free agency moves, simulated mock drafts and have concluded that we'll be 13-3, have home field throughout the playoffs. You all know what that means!! So they're going to the Superbowl now and I was about to make travel reservations..... to East Rutherford, NJ?? Damm,.... you know they're headed there too because the game will be in such a lousy location!
  12. Hmm,... Nix shouldn't have said that... it basically locks him into drafting a QB w/ the 8th pick. If there are 2-3 Franchise guys, he better pick one of them before someone else does. This is the kind of comment that will be on his Buffalo epitaph if he doesn't get one...
  13. All time best for this discussion topic... unfortunately didn't make it to the pros http://espn.go.com/c...0/lucious-pusey BTW, I thought the same on Mingo.... awesome name!
  14. Lets ask this a different way.... what is the highest round you'd draft him in w/ the 8th pick of each round??
  15. I was just about to type that.... +1
  16. I'm not sure how you can watch that and not agree with the posters viewpoint?? Its all just opinions at this time of course, but its a pretty strong indication that Hackett would be pushing for him. Given that Marrone's made him his first hire and is also from Syracuse..... hmmm, nevermind, you're right there's nothing there other than that he likes the cold???
  17. Spiller better get in shape now.... he won't be able to get winded so often!
  18. I don't know the guy, so I appreciate this post putting this hiring into some perspective!! I can't imagine Brandon going with the Syracuse guy because he grew up there, the cheapest guy or any of the other lame justifications that others on the board quickly threw out there...
  19. I'm surprised there isn't a thread on this yet, but one of Brandon's big announcements was the Bills will develop a sophisticated analytics operation to evaluate players.... NFL.com article I'm interested in thoughts on several things.... does anyone know if any other NFL teams have dedicated any significant resources or had success with this approach? Where and how would it be applied outside of salary negotiations? I'm wondering what examples people can point to on the good/bad decisions that might be made with this approach? If we were using sophisticated analytics I imagine that we would never have signed Fitz to a big contract, may have passed on Mario Williams in free agency and might have let Stevie walk?
  20. ahh, so is Eli,... didn't like him much for a while, but anyone saying he hasn't earned enormous respect the last 2 years is not being fair... and he beat Brady in a Super Bowl before that. Peyton and Brees only have one SB each. Eli's in the top tier
  21. I would love to see the guy put on the field and start getting some chances. We had 2 seasons of b*tchin about Spiller before he became everyone's hero
  22. He must suck then. Not worth a snap in a real game. A 55yd KO return couldn't be a spark to see what the kid has? Its a lost season again, he's got to play. What easier way to work him in could there possibly be?
