  1. His first game in college was similar and he still had a productive college career. You guys give up to early on QBs. Some QBs take longer to develop than others. You know Troy Aikmans first year in the pros, Dallas only won one game that year and that game Aikman didn't even play. He was 0 for 11 as a starter that year and had only 9 tds and 18 int. And second year wasn't much better 11 tds and 18 int. I not saying Petterson is Aikman, but if Aikman was in Buffalo his rookie year , you guys would be calling him a bust and there would be a thousand replies on why we should be getting rid of him. What I'm trying to say you can't judge a guy after one or two games. I don't care if he is first rd or 5th rd. You got give him longer time. Maybe he works out or maybe he won't. We got Allen know and maybe he starts out like Aikman . If he does, I hope you'll give him more time to develope before your ready to kick him to the curve.

  3. I wonder if TT came to the bills right out of college . In the same situation as EJ with no QB coach and no veteran QB to talk to. And EJ got drafted by the Ravens and got to sit a couple years behind Flacco and learn from Kubiak. I wonder if TT would still be in the nfl right know. McCoy wasn't here EJ first two years. TT might had to throw the ball more.
  4. looking at stats from E.J. last year when we were behind both games againts Bengals and Jacksonville . When behind 99.9 qb rating 69.2% com pct. 8.1 yards per att. This year when Taylor was behind 86.1 qb rating. 61.6 com. pct. 7.5 yds per att. When behind by 9-16 pts Taylor 63.7 com. pct . 7.4 yds att. And E.J. 66.7 com pct. 7.3 yds att. One guy has 16 starts and the other has 26 starts. 16 starts for a qb is not a lot of starts. He still can get better. 26 starts you have a better idea of what you have. Everybody talks about E.J. games againts Giants and Jacksonville. Both games were close. Yes he played bad againts Jacksonville in the beginning . But didn't let it get him down, he kept slinging it, Wasn't scared to throw the ball like I see Taylor looked. 16 starts compare to 26 starts one had most of his starts in first two years in the NFL and the other 5 years sitting and learning in the NFL. Both raw coming out of college. I would think a QB sitting for 5 years before he gets to start would be better than somebody just coming out of college. Both being raw that is.
  5. yes he is a gamer. I think he is. He showed me that in the game overseas. That game we were behind because of him, But he didn't get down on himself. He played good enough in the end to win that game. Took chances and threw down field. I know you are going to say well if he played better in the beginning ,we wouldn't been in that place begin with and you would be right. We came back and and the defense brought us the go ahead T.d. But if McCoy didn't fumble trying to score at the one in the second half, witch was a throw from E.J that would've won that game. You can't be mad at McCoy because he tried to score and it happen . That score could've won that game,Defense scored would,ve gave us two TD lead. Like Rivers yesterday threw 3 int. and still slinging down field. SD almost won there game. Our starting QB know checks down on third down if he can;t run for it, and then we fall behind on three and outs and tires our defense out . Hes not turning the ball over, but were not scoring either.
  6. Taylor has a 58.7% com. this year. and a 6.4 ave per att. Td% is at 3.9%. All below last years mark. All below EJ career marks , Witch by the way EJ only has 16 starts. Shouldn't Taylor be getting better the more games he plays instead of the other way around. He has more starts than EJ.and is getting worse. Taylor had 9 fumbles last year on 14 starts. Ej has 10 fumbles on 16 starts. Ej has more int, but that is because he is more of a gamer than Taylor . If Taylor needs 24 yards on third down and he can't get with his legs, he will check down instead of taking a chance down field . Rivers has 6 fumbles already this year. He had Three int. Sunday. That s because to win games when your behind, you got to throw down field. Take chances and trust your arm. If you check down you are not going to win. Yes it makes your stats look good because your playing it safe. But your not winning games that way. Thats why we lead the league in 3 and outs.
  7. This year TT has a 60.4 comp% and 6.8 avg. Not to much better than EJ. career. Sounds like inaccuracy issues. Jamie Winston who is from FSU 58.8 career comp%. Inaccuracy issues. Ej Has A 3.6 Td% and 2.9 int% and Jamie Winston 4.4 td% and 3.1 int%.
  8. I was laughing to,when TT line up behind the guard. That was funny. Plus one guy had two more years of nfl coaching than the other.
  9. Some of you think that he will always be a backup or out of the NFL in a couple years. I wanted to show QBs that were like Manuel, that people gave up on and turn out to be productive starters in the NFL. Also wanted to show QBs that were consider franchise Qbs one year like Kaepernick, and then turn up fighting for roster spot know. Manuel could turn out to be a starter and Taylor like Kaepernick could be fighting for a roster spot couple years down the road. Not going to say it will happen, but you don't know. Cousin I put in there because he bad two years ago. I think he was behind Griffen and McCoy. 29 tds latter he is a starter.
  10. Taylor didn't get to start until his 5th year. Would he been able to start his 5th year, if he would've started as a rookie. He could've sucked his first two or three years and never got a chance to develope into the kind of player he is today. Everybody would judge him on what he looked like his first couple years and thinking he can't get better. Blaine Gabbert and Alex Smith are both starting Qbs who were considered BUST when they first started. Alex Smith stats were the same as Taylors last year. Alex Smith looked worst than EJ his first couple years. He was a first overall pick. Kaepernick put up same stats in 2014 as Taylor and know he might not make the team. Kirk Cousins 2013 4 tds., 7 int., 2 fumbles, 52% com. pct and 5.5 yds att. in 5 games. Know look at him he starting for Redskins.
  11. Manuel had 5 games with 2 tds and Taylor had 1 game with 2 tds.
  12. You talked about Miami game. You know that Taylor only average 27 att. per game last year. Taylor threw three TDs againts NE prevent defense after NE got a big lead. Taylor had three int. and a fumble in that game. Tennessee game, we won last year Taylor had like 100 yds yards passing and we won that game. How did Taylor become a starter. That should all mean that he is a bad QB. You know that we were 3 wins and 6 losts when Taylor att. more than 27 passes.
  13. I thought you were talking about our all pro Buffalo Bill qb that threw three int. against NE. IM sorry, I forgot that it was ok, because that was the other QB. I think that our All Pro QB did not do to good against ten. the first half. I think he had like a hundred total yards in that games. QBs have bad first halfs, including our all pro QB.
  14. Kind of like the NE game except he threw and interception at the end of game. Oh wait that is the other guy. That is o.k its his first year starting. E.J and Taylor had same kind of games . One we make a bigger deal about than the other. Both have 16 starts in the NFL. One has been in the NFL two more years than the other. Yes E.J lost his two games, but Taylor was 1 and 4 after those two games. Isn't that a big deal.
  15. your right defense scored the go ahead TD but also gave up the last score of the game. And the runningback that fumble at the one yard line. That would've gave us a two TD lead. EJ did have a bad first half , but he didn't let it get him down. He played better the second half. I remember the NE game when a QB played bad, but brought us back to almost to beat NE if he only didn't throw an interception at the end of game. First year starting so thats OK.
