I would say Hairston's looking good so far

Well Batten and Moats appear to be playing OLB. Batten started in place of Kelsay. But Moats seems to be on the field almost every play. Certainly every pass rush. Also on batting down passes behind the line of scrimmage (Carrington, Wilson), does anyone know how that shows up in stats? Why don't they track that as a defensive stat?

I don't know about this thread. Identify the game that we've won since Fitz took over that Stevie Johnson wasn't an indispensable component of. The Raiders and Patriots straight up couldn't stop him, even though he's playing hurt. They were both huge comebacks, so the pressure was definitely on. The Pats win was the biggest in the last 5 years. The Pittsburgh drop aside, he's been a beast. There's not a single game we've won in that span that would have been a victory if Stevie didn't play. Pay the man!

For exactly that reason... they're high draft choices in their 2nd year by the current front office on a poor defense. Why aren't they on the field? High draft picks should be starting or having significant playing time on bad defenses.

In light of everything that we're complaining about on the Defensive side I want to shout out to Torrell Troup and Alex Carrington. Where are you guys?? Troup, 2nd round pick for those you who don't know who I'm talking about based listening to the announcers during games, has been beyond invisible. No production to speak of going into his 2nd year. Also drafted by current regime, not Dick Jauron. Stats on the year: 1 tackle, 1 assist, 0 sacks Carrington, seemed to show well in the preseason and it was reasonable to expect that he would be young leader on a "rising" defense, but practically nothing since the real games had started. Oh yeah 3rd round pick last year by the same regime,... again not Dick Jauron. Stats on the year: 2 tackles, 0 assist, 0 sacks What can we say about these guys??

Yeah, I was hoping for better from the defense. Its annoying that Leodis McKelvin, Torrell Troup and Alex Carrington our top Defensive picks in the previous 3 year can't earn starting jobs on such a suspect defense. All three of these guys should have risen to be starters by now.
