  1. D is being exposed... not good at all
  2. You know Darren McFadden was being considered a bust at this point in his Raider career. He didn't break out until last year (year #3), similar to Eric Moulds. Spiller has shown some capability, just not consistently enough yet. Lets just let him grow and see what happens.
  3. This is the nuttiest article I've could imagine... got to automatically discount James Walkers viewpoints going forward http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/32066/thoughts-on-aaron-maybin-re-joining-jets
  4. Yeah, that... I was bitchin' about the lack of blitzing all game. It just doesn't make sense to rely on him making enough mistakes.
  5. I disagree,... I think we'll see good results from the formation during the course of the year. We were talking about this during the game and I just don't think the right down/distance situations were coming up to use it strategically. I think we're keep seeing it in the right scenarios. They're going to have to show that they can successfully through out of the formation in order to keep it effective.
  6. 8pm on NFL Network for those who want to see the game again... or for the 2-3 people who missed it!
  7. What a difference a year (or several makes) in the tenor of the discussion... I recall a bunch of Monday's that felt like this article below. http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/09/26/2426131/miami-dolphins-coach-tony-sparano.html Nice to see the media hunting for answers on the Monday press conference!
  8. ... it also helped that Ochocinco dropped that perfectly thrown TD pass, otherwise we'd be back to your 3-1
  9. Absolutely hysterical reading all of this chatter!! Good call!! I would have never thought it, but happy I kept my mouth shut on this thread... still laughing!
  10. Yep,... I was scratching my head too. He was the only one to pick the Bills on the panel to win.
  11. Great combination... watching the Pats sideline sit helpless while the clock runs down that last minute and a half was pretty awesome. More cameras on the Pats sideline needed on that one... perhaps a sideline reporter getting an interview/reaction?? The excitement plays as well w/ the Pick 6 and Fred Jackson catch were electric!
  12. I was in Munich, Germany last week during the Raider game. Be advised that you can buy NFL games through NFL's Game Pass if you're out of the country and watch on your computer. BTW,... Oktoberfest in Munich is absolutely wild if you've never been there. For this week game,... will be at Buffalo Wild Wings with my boys in suburban Richmond, VA
  13. No love for the Levy/Jauron show, but we should recognize that Stevie, Fred Jackson, Fitz, Kyle Williams, Demetrious Bell, Eric Wood and Andy Levitre all came from their drafts, undrafted FAs and Free Agent signings. As much as its fair to criticize their misses, their additions are the core of the team and the main reasons for the success we're seeing now.
  14. Really? 1 INT wipes out a nearly 300yd passing advantage? Plus from what I understand the situation also counts. Throwing a 99yd TD when you're trapped on your own 1 yd line seems like you get bonus points for that Still puzzled...
  15. Yep,... I'm just scratching my had about the same thing. In what aspect did Fitz outperform Brady? Its not clear from the numbers they give..
  16. Very well said.... particularly the part about "our collective sphincters" tightening
  17. ... sorry still working off of last year's paradigm!
  18. Yep, if the Steelers beat the Bengals 41-7, there would be plenty to say about how dominating the Steelers are Naw, we're all happy we just want to climb out of the 30s in the Power Rankings... wait till you hear what its like around here if we're not at least 19. Everyone will say that half the teams won, half lost so we should be at least 16... how can we still be ranked lower than the Colts. And so on...
  19. Hopefully he and the OL will find their consistency this year. They're all very young players, if they can stay consistent our OL can perhaps by set for a number of years. Last week somebody posted a YouTube clip of the 25th anniversary of Jim Kelly's debut with the Bills. In the opening of the game they flashed up the "mediocre" OL that Kelly may have to "struggle" behind... the punch line was that the linemen were Will Wilford (rookie), Kent Hull, Mike Devlin, Jim Richter and Ken Jones. Hysterical characterization in hindsight. Hopefully we'll be able to say the same about this OL in a few years.
  20. I can imagine Smith to Chandler being a big play on 3rd and short in the coming weeks. Big, forgiving target who allows them to mix the run and pass w/ credibly out of the wildcat.
  21. I didn't see the game yesterday, but a bit confused about who's playing Strong Safety, is it Wilson or Scott? There's plenty of reference to both of them in the write-ups... as well as Jarius Byrd. 'Supp w/ that?
  22. I think you nailed it! I'll take my shot though... 1) George Wilson, who was undrafted and had to change positions by the most unpopular, clownish coaching staff we've ever had and then was embraced for his capabilities by a new regime, who in the past might just cut a guy like that, to the point where he's been elevated to start this year 2) Eric Wood, who came back to be our best OL from one of the worst injuries to watch on video, many of us thought he might be done after that one. If so, he might have been added to the 1st round bust list 3) Ryan Fitzpatrick, from discussion in one of my previous threads, I don't believe that 2nd/3rd chances work in the NFL, but last year he had us actually discussing whether he could be the next Brett Favre. He's the smartest player on the team and its his now 4) Brian Moorman, who has been the best punter in the league for nearly a decade and involves himself as the consummate Bill every season and off-season, on and off the field 5) Fred Jackson, who has to run uphill for his standing on the team against his pedigree and age every year yet keeps showing that he's really just one of the top running backs in the league 6) Stevie Johnson, who showed in his first opportunity how a #2 becomes a #1, in ways that his predecessor couldn't over 5 years, even when he had T.O. opposite him the previous year. In the last 20 years our #1 receivers have been Reed, Moulds, Evans and T.O., so he's taking his shot to be counted among them 7) The 12th Man, who tirelessly puts up with this nonsense year in and year out, hoping for nothing more than success in the coming season, while being questioned by everyone around him why he keeps rooting for this team There you go... now when do we get to find out the point of this? We're on page 4 of this thread Mr. Negative.
  23. I only want to see him play the portions of the game when the Bills are on Defense. I would NOT be excited to see him lined up a LT, TE or as a special teams gunner. Chan is you have that in mind, please scrap it from the plan. ...though I guess that depends on how players at those positions perform?!?
  24. In the 4th preseason game and tonight's Packers/Saints game it seems that they've changed the site. It doesn't show the football field w/ the play-by-play diagrams. It doesn't refresh automatically with each play. It just seems to be a static solicitation for buying Gamepass. Has anyone else had problems with it?
  25. Hahaha....
