What does that mean?

For exactly that reason... they're high draft choices in their 2nd year by the current front office on a poor defense. Why aren't they on the field? High draft picks should be starting or having significant playing time on bad defenses.

In light of everything that we're complaining about on the Defensive side I want to shout out to Torrell Troup and Alex Carrington. Where are you guys?? Troup, 2nd round pick for those you who don't know who I'm talking about based listening to the announcers during games, has been beyond invisible. No production to speak of going into his 2nd year. Also drafted by current regime, not Dick Jauron. Stats on the year: 1 tackle, 1 assist, 0 sacks Carrington, seemed to show well in the preseason and it was reasonable to expect that he would be young leader on a "rising" defense, but practically nothing since the real games had started. Oh yeah 3rd round pick last year by the same regime,... again not Dick Jauron. Stats on the year: 2 tackles, 0 assist, 0 sacks What can we say about these guys??

Yeah, I was hoping for better from the defense. Its annoying that Leodis McKelvin, Torrell Troup and Alex Carrington our top Defensive picks in the previous 3 year can't earn starting jobs on such a suspect defense. All three of these guys should have risen to be starters by now.

You know Darren McFadden was being considered a bust at this point in his Raider career. He didn't break out until last year (year #3), similar to Eric Moulds. Spiller has shown some capability, just not consistently enough yet. Lets just let him grow and see what happens.

Yeah, that... I was bitchin' about the lack of blitzing all game. It just doesn't make sense to rely on him making enough mistakes.

I disagree,... I think we'll see good results from the formation during the course of the year. We were talking about this during the game and I just don't think the right down/distance situations were coming up to use it strategically. I think we're keep seeing it in the right scenarios. They're going to have to show that they can successfully through out of the formation in order to keep it effective.

No love for the Levy/Jauron show, but we should recognize that Stevie, Fred Jackson, Fitz, Kyle Williams, Demetrious Bell, Eric Wood and Andy Levitre all came from their drafts, undrafted FAs and Free Agent signings. As much as its fair to criticize their misses, their additions are the core of the team and the main reasons for the success we're seeing now.
