  1. it will be forever an epic pic and in my opinion well worth the fine he incurred!
  2. If this is correct, then whoever posted this did their job perfectly and is unlikely to get fired
  3. I am a bit surprised that there isn't some 3rd party referee grading system. If you think of all the advanced stats that PFF, Next Gen Stats and others have developed where we know the degree of separation each WR had on each pass attempt, why hasn't some grading system on officials been developed. This is a yearly complaint. If we went back into TBD history, there would be threads in most years about how the refs have never been worse. Seems like the best way to put some sunshine to this topic is to be able to track officials on penalties called (what kinds, how often, in what game circumstances), missed penalties and so forth. It would be a popular set of stats....
  4. Working the refs is a long-standing QB tactic
  5. You mean the way we've seen Antonio Williams run?

    Coin Flip?

It wasn't meaningless to Belicheck... he's LFAO the whole flight back I'm not suggesting that's solely why they lost. All the other criticism of the team above are correct. But coaches are supposed to give you a strategic edge, particularly at home.

    Coin Flip?

What wasn't a factor? The decision on the coin flip? It certainly was if you watched the 4th quarter.
  8. I was away from the TV as the coin flip was happening, but heard announcers say that we deferred. Did we in fact, win the coin flip, choose to defer so we get the 2nd half kick-off and thereby let the Patriots pick that they would play with the wind in Q2/4??I said immediately at the opening KO on my group chat what a mistake this was and that it may cost us a close game. How on earth does McD not make a strategic adjustment in his approach to this critical decision when the whole game was about the wind??
  9. No flame... Stephen A is netting it out perfectly
  10. I don't like his vaccination position, but I think I have to agree with @Virgil. It seems like he wouldn't be that hard to replace, but has he says, nobody's shown they can do it. I think we ride out the contract to the end and he goes after 2022... either retires or isn't re-signed.
  11. I think they should consider going with Brieda and Williams. Have Singletary take a seat, plus assuming Moss my be out.
  12. The truth is everyone saw this as an after-thought, not just the team. Without criticizing anyone else, I'll own up to my part. I sat there calmly watching through the 3rd quarter. The only thing I got upset about was the penalties and that they wouldn't cover the spread, but really I expected they would win in the end. It wasn't until 5 min to go that I realized they might lose. During Chiefs and Titans games I was on edge stressing over each play from the beginning...
  13. Yeah! How's that ridiculous post/poll about Tribusky's playing time looking now?? Never f%&$ing talk before doing! We're lucky Lawrence didn't hurdle anyone...
  14. Maybe Josh Allen will stiff-arm Josh Allen while running for TD?
  15. Has he run for a 2pt conversion? That would complete the cycle and seems achievable!
  16. This is the kind of post that can bite you in the a$$. Beware of Manningcast Curse.... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/is-there-a-curse-on-the-manningcast-monday-night-football-guests-bills-josh-allen-could-be-next/
  17. Bills are back in town Dolphins are on the menu On to the Super Bowl!
  18. The article I was referring to seemed to indicate that Whaley/Monos were kind of dismissive of Pegula's input on picking Mahomes. Maybe if they were on the "same page" with him and believed he should be the pick at #10, that would have all played differently? That's not a one day pick, but a three month process leading up to the draft. Maybe that's why he was ready to can them right after the draft??
  19. Its a hard topic to consider what might have happened under the scenario of drafting Mahomes, the QB of the future, at that time. Several trades such as Watkins, Darby and Cordy Glenn trade-up, may not have played out like they did if you already had the QB on the roster than if you were clearing the field in advance of picking one the following year. There was an in-depth article on the road to find Allen that touched on that draft a while back. I want so say it was on the Athletic by Tim Graham, but could be wrong. It reported that Pegula was really pushing hard for Mahomes, but the draft experts (Whaley and Monos) thought he would last longer and they could pick him later. If they embraced Pegula's thinking from the get-go make the pick at 10, maybe they never get fired and Brandon Beane never comes our way, he'd be Panther's GM and we'd never know what we missed?? Our next two picks of the 2017 draft in the 2nd round were Zay Jones and trade-up for Dion Dawkins. As a guess, I'd imagine they still would have picked Jones to support the Mahomes pick, but probably after that they would have needed to turn attention to Defense rather than picking Dawkins. The next five CBs taken (before end of R3) after where we picked Dawkins are Ahkello Witherspoon, Fabian Moreau, Shaquille Griffin, Jourdan Lewis and Cameron Sutton. So 1 in 5 chance of somebody that could even start to be in the same conversation w/ Tre White. So flame-out WR and CB in rounds 2/3 were likely. So you may want to change the poll up top to Mahomes vs. Allen/White/Dawkins. That pick could be Butterfly Effect-ed all sorts of crazy ways.... To that end, I'll add a fun fact!! Assuming we picked Mahomes and he was red-shirted similar to how KC did and Bills planned to w/ Allen, then Tyrod Taylor was still our starting QB. Ready??? Tyrod got hurt in week 13 and Peterman (unlikely we would have picked a 2nd QB in that draft) started the Snow Bowl against the Colts. Ipso-facto... Mahomes would have been our QB for that snow game.... now that would have been fun!!
