  1. That sounds like the kind of talk that led up to the game against Jaguars last year.... #NO
  2. I'll stand corrected. I've seen tons of Wyoming highlights and even some Firebaugh, but hadn't seen this one yet
  3. Can't live without Twitter on game day and I really love it when I find unique content you won't see anywhere else...
  4. I've been wondering how its possible that he's even ready? Look at all our discussion on Tre White. He was hurt on Thanksgiving day game in NOLA (late November). OBJ tore ACL in Super Bowl (early February). We're still wondering when White will finally see the field. The Bills had to put him on PUP. Though he's 2+ months ahead of the journey that OBJ is going down. I think he just wants some to start paying him. I would have to seriously wonder whether he would be ready to play before the playoffs at earliest.
  5. Interesting article from the Athletic. I'll highlight the categories and rankings. This only focuses on veteran contracts, so QBS on rookie deals are excluded from this assessment. Beane strikes again! https://theathletic.com/3661732/2022/10/10/nfl-best-worst-qb-contracts-list/ Group 1: We know what we are getting, it is amazing, and these deals promote team flexibility so we can build a championship contender for long term. - Josh Allen - Patrick Mahomes Group 2: We know what we are getting, it is mostly amazing, but the marriage is not perfect and this deal could put us behind the 8-ball quickly - Aaron Rodgers Group 3: We know what we are getting, it is mostly amazing, but there’s significant pain in 2023 almost no matter what happens - Tom Brady Group 4: We know what we are getting, it is pretty good, and we maintain flexibility beyond this season. - Derek Carr Group 5: We know what we are getting, it is pretty good, but these deals limit team flexibility significantly. - Matthew Stafford - Kirk Cousins Group 6: We see elite upside with our quarterbacks, but there also are questions about what we are getting, and we’re in big trouble if our guy doesn’t play like a Tier 1-2 QB moving forward. - Deshaun Watson - Russell Wilson - Kyler Murray - Dak Prescott Group 7: We know what we are getting, it is just OK, and these deals carry mild to moderate pain in 2023 if we move on after this season, which it looks like we might do. - Jared Goff - Matt Ryan - Ryan Tannehill - Jameis Winston Group 8: We know what we are getting, it is just OK, but we can move on painlessly after this season, which people think we might do - Jimmy Garoppolo - Geno Smith Group 9: What we are getting is significantly flawed, but at least we can get out after this year without pain (and we likely will) - Carson Wentz - Marcus Mariota - Baker Mayfield
  6. To say nothing of Hamlin and Jacquon Johnson. If Jackson hadn't been hurt in the Titans game then the #1 defense would have started a 7th rounder and three 6th rounders against the Dolphins two weeks ago.
  7. I'm in the hood as well! After leaving Admiral's Cup was at a nearby spot in Fells Point area where bartender commented that no other team comes even close to how BillsMafia turns out!
  8. Big step down from last year, which was the best halftime show they ever had!
  9. No kidding.... I could see the hole, but unfortunately run a 9.3 40-yd dash 🥴
  10. Just as a stupid thought exercise, I would love to see the Bills play a game w/ Allen as he is now with current offense and instead of Diggs/Davis, he had Foster and Zay Jones as his WR1/2.
  11. That's an April consideration...
  12. Also, generally true of any large market. I'd imagine that big stars in LA, Chicago, Dallas, NY, Boston, Philadelphia would make more in endorsements in the local markets than Buffalo, GB, Cleveland, Cincinnati....
  13. Allen is the QB. He's going to get 100x the discussion anyone else is. That who the whole team sees as its leader / face of franchise. I don't think we see players speak about anyone in a similar manner; Hyde, Poyer, Milano, Diggs, Morse, Dawkins??
  14. Not sure what's going on at the Chiefs board, but if that was a Bills player this thread would be on page 18 with the vitriol being hurled at him
  15. I haven't seen his highlights in a long time, but looking at that brief clip, it made me think of Cole Beasley
  16. That would be pre-McB... Whaley and Rex Ryan would have had to have the same foresight to develop someone like that
  17. I was at that game as well! It was my wife's b-day present for me. She held out and was a trooper through a miserable rainy day, so she forever gets credit for that! I agree that the energy picked up when Allen entered the game. He held his own in an unexpected appearance as described by OP. Great journey from there on......
  18. Living outside of Buffalo, I've watched more Sabres this past year on ESPN+ than I have in the last 5+ years combined
  19. One of my favorite players and all-time best trade! if the Bills win SB this year the ONLY regret that I would have is that he wasn't on the team. Never know, if there's a few injuries maybe we'll make a move for him at the trade deadline to shore up pass rush for "future considerations"
  20. You should probably update the title to this thread adding an '!' after the word "released". Your enthusiasm warrants it!
  21. I don't want to belabor it as I have much respect for Bill's insights, but a miss of a few slots in the top 5 penalizes almost as much 2+ round misses on QBs that people were projecting going in the 1st
  22. Very happy with both of the first two picks, but have to go with Shakir. Its always sweeter when you feel like you really swiped someone with a later round pick. We'll see how it turns out!
