  1. But there's more... it looks like Whaley will remain as GM, but here's what he needs to replace wth upgrades. As the current crop of positions I"m about to list aren't good enough: HC -- Rex clearly gone, that's fine. I can't even imagine who I would want replacing him. QB -- I want to love TT, but he's clearly not playing anywhere near last year's level... pretty much all season WR (2) -- Woods, Goodwin and Harvin all probably gone. Hunter and Lewis have had no impact, only Sammy remains if healthy RT -- We've talked about this all year DT -- Kyle Williams has to be near the end CB -- Gilmour gone and hasn't been that great all year, save a few INTs the last couple games, we can't possibly pay what he wants SS -- A. Williams will retire, Bills should force it if he doesn't want to. We've struggled in the secondary throughout That's 6-7 new starters mostly at high skill slots... and again, the current crop, even if healthy wasn't getting it done
  2. That catch was big time!! Its everything you'd want in a guy like that.
  3. This thread has been a welcome relief of laughter.... so I commend the OP!!
  4. How come Julian Edelman and Doug Baldwin can do it week in and week out? They're no Andre Reed either...
  5. I just don't get it. Other than the occasional bomb, it just doesn't seem possible to get Goodwin into space so he can run after a catch. I don't think I've ever seen another blazing fast guy (among the fastest in the NFL) who just cannot be shook loose for YAC. Every completion to him is a sideline or comeback pattern that gets him immediately tackled. Lynn, TT and Goodwin should be studying Andre Reed. I don't think I've ever seen us try to hit him on a slant like Reed did time and time again. When I watch Baldwin in the Seattle game a couple weeks ago or Julian Edelman these fast guys are constantly on slants, crossing patterns underneath and then off to the races turning 7 yard passes into 30-40 yard plays... irritating!
  6. The Jags game is a sure thing.... they won't let you down until they get us believing that this year they can finally break through. Thats when they drop the bomb... loss to Bryce Petty's Jets perhaps
  7. Pulled hamstring in his 2nd practice....
  8. ... thought you would all need a welcome distraction!
  9. "Deflate-gate" does not come anywhere near steroid use. It was a BS charge that would not have gotten any QB who is not on the Patriots in trouble. If that was a Jim Kelly back in the day we would have been howling about how unfair it was to suspend him. My father, may he rest in peace, would have insisted up and down that the league has it in for the Bills because we are a small town team and they want NY, Chicago, Washington, Dallas... to win
  10. That's precisely what they're going to do... I'm not sure what options they have other than to nab someone off another practice squad...anyone know what Da'rick Rogers is doing these days?
  11. Not Hochuli,... so that's two plus's
  12. That's what I was thinking... I certainly hope they consulted w/ the NFL before trying any medication. The next suspension would be for a year wouldn't it?
  13. where was he yesterday? This was when we needed him in "Gronk" mode...
  14. Fingers moving too fast... can't seem to find how you edit the title?
  15. Com'n Man,... you can't do that in practice. What's he thinking?
  16. Hmmm,... can't wait for the Buffalo Dolphins vs. the Miami Bills !?!?
  17. With the new touchback rules going out to 25 yard line, teams are starting to plan their kicks to elicit a return. So why do we still need a 2nd kicker who's only goal was to kick the ball out of the end zone??
  18. Not sure what he would cost at this stage, but we do need a RT... thoughts?
  19. I'm writing off the bottom 10... its true that 1-2 of them might turn things around yet, but that's still a poor hit rate for top 5 picks, don't you think??
  20. For every first or second round bust, there's another team that would have happily picked that player within the next 10 or so picks. Very few of these guys wouldn't have been picked until 3-4 rounds later...if Dion Jordan, an Aaron Maybin level bust, wasn't picked 3rd overall, there's no way he would have lasted to 16 (where EJ was picked) or maybe even to 11 (where Maybin was picked)...and he would have been just as big a bust.
  21. NFL.com has an interesting article ranking the top 5 picks of the draft since 2012. To demonstrate how difficult this is, there's only a 50% hit rate...on TOP 5 picks.. amazing. Clearly not very good. And we all know that if any of these players were passed over in the top 5, they would have been picked in the #6-10 slots and the team grabbing them there would have been graded an "A++" having scored the "steal of the draft" at the time...
  22. ahh... also some serious zone blitz coverage that Mario was complaining and confused about. He covered Gronk downfield a couple times and broke up one of the passes. There was also a serious highlight in the first game against Colts where a sack was the result of Hughes covering TE downfield. When Luck saw TE blanketed he had to go down for Hughes coverage sack....He's been a stud!!
