  1. I think I felt that way through the '90s... not sure about after that though. I still remember the Marv Levy press conference where he told everyone they would spend "cash to the cap".... season lost!
  2. Haven't looked yet, but would say it has to be Darby. No 1st pick that year and to get a DROY candidate w/ opening 2nd round pick, means they did their HW. And everyone said "Who??" when they picked him
  3. That's right... part of the reason we're in this 17 year mess is because we kept burning 1st round picks on RBs... while our leading rusher was an UDFA who will likely go on the WoF
  4. So say... just before the deadline for when Comp picks are computed from, if we're still short....offer Cleveland, since they're playing Moneyball, a 7th rd pick to sign two of them??
  5. seemed like he was on the verge of breakthrough.... wouldn't mind giving him another year to show
  6. Very encouraging analysis! I've been a fan of keeping Tyrod and after seeing this, feel even better about that. Not sure if its possible to break these down either for individual games or clusters of games? I would love to see the comparison of how this looks contrasting his three best games vs. his three worst games. The games could just be selected based on QB Rating.
  7. I'm surprise that nobody's noticed that we have NOT released Jerome Felton. Is this really what we're doing... 3 veteran FBs?? It seems like Felton should be the odd man out, I'm not sure why they're keeping him on the roster?
  8. Tyrod plus our 2nd rounder for their #12 Then I'm picking Watson and WR Williams or Davis
  9. I've been pro-TT, but as I think about this a sec I'm wondering if targeting the Browns pick at #12 could be interesting. TT plus our 2nd pick for the #12?? Then w/ #10 and #12 we pick Watson and WR (either Williams or Davis)?? That would be intriguing.
  10. He doesn't fit as MLB?
  11. So I would say GOOD! I think we're overstating his negatives and understating his positives. I think he's found a connection with Charles Clay, we need Sammy Watkins healthy all year, he's difficult to stop and I would pick either Williams or Davis in the 1st round.... that plus Shady.... TT still has upside. He's only been a starter for 2 years and the 2nd one w/ no receiver corp. Let him blossom!
  12. .... has anyone considered that not updating the banner at the top of TBD is what's jinxing the Bills from making playoffs and beyond? Maybe if it was updated to Sammy and Shady fortunes would change... #alwayslookahead
  13. My biggest issue w/ Goodwin is that no coach seems to be able to get him into space so he can run after catch. Can't be the fastest person in the league and never be able to turn a 7 yard catch into a 40 yard gain... I get that he can catch a bomb 2-3x per year, but he should have a 20-40 yard catch and run every game.
  14. Who's the franchise QB you would advocate trading up for?
  15. I like this explanation better. I think TT still has upside that hasn't been reached yet. There's really no option out there that makes more sense in the near-term without blowing up the team... if we went into a full re-build, we'd lose nearly all of our free agents, plus probably Kyle, Dareus, Hughes and Shady don't make much sense to keep, plus probably would alienate Sammy as we'll have wasted at least the first half of his career...
  16. That's right!
  17. ahh perhaps.... for a mid-round pick and without a big contract up front... can't buy into an unproven entity again. How many times can we get fooled?
  18. Top 10 list on of most disappointing players has some interesting names.... -- #2, Tavon Austin, he's the guy the Rams traded up for with us when we moved back to select EJ Manuel -- #6, Laquon Treadwell, stud college player, lots of speculation on drafting him this past year.... 1 catch, yikes! -- #8, Mario Williams, 'nuff said!
  19. If Lynn will be the coach, his press conference yesterday essentially endorsed Tyrod. He said it was a front office decision that he wasn't a part of... next man up. Sounded like if it was up to him, Tyrod would be playing.
  20. Are you saying Tyrod of next year with a healthy Sammy will be worse than Tyrod of this year with hardly any receiving support?? Huh??
  21. Exactly. His agent would be a fool to renegotiate. If we don't pick up the option, he will have him signed by someone else in a few days... probably for more money. Tyrod still has upside, its not like he's Fitzpatrick or Cutler. To me it not even a question whether we pick up the option. There's no viable replacement being discussed.
  22. Beat me to it... that's what I was going to submit as well That's an interesting choice too... awesome article about him on CBS Sportsline last week!
  23. That's a ridiculous proposition. If we dropped the option, he would leave for another team. period. You can only pick up the option or move on to someone else. There isn't any way he wouldn't be in sufficient demand that he would come crawling back to the Buffalo Bills on some incentive-based contract. The other part of the analysis about what to do, is what other options are out there? I haven't heard a single one that's appealing. Romo, Cutler, Glennon.. please. None of them are an upgrade on Tyrod. If Cardale Jones has it, then he can show it in the pre-season like Dak Prescott, Russell Wilson...and Tyrod Taylor did the years that they were trusted with the starting QB jobs respectively. Otherwise we can draft someone else, of course. But we have other major needs too. Tyrod still has room to grow, he's only a 2nd years starter. There's no indication that he's hit a ceiling... I'm keeping him!
  24. That's a good way to put it. There's no option I've heard that makes me want to move on from TT. All the others are worse... Romo, Cutler, Glennon, Cardale, mid 1st round pick,... even Garafalao (could be the next Osweiler).... #KeepTyrod #GetANewCoach
  25. Not sure I get how those number are better than Tyrod?
