Why Your Team Sucks 2018 - Bills version is posted!
brianthomas replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I came here wanting/expecting the Patriots but the Browns work too. The Jets would qualify as well. 1st reason why the Jets suck is that they're not even in New York. If you can't even get your teams name right, then yeah, you suck! -
Idk, I'm PUMPED too! Only because this offseason feels longer than normal & I can't wait to see what our team looks like this season... same with the Sabres. Maybe I'm a fool to look forward to more disappointment haha But both of our franchises have gone thru a lot of changes. Bring on the Bungles & bring on the Preseason already!

Hey you never know. There might be some super fast injury prone receiver out there that Oakland really likes in the 1st round. -

im watching the press conference on Periscope. Its amazing how in 2018 they cant run a stream with good audio. Volume is low, questions are inaudible & the sound only comes in on one track. Its like its mono & not stereo. Guess i'll just wait to the local news covers it ? -
those were the days man! Such a treat to watch those teams... as long as it wasn't the Superbowl. One of my favorite games was the 51-3 shellacking of the Raiders

Beat me to it haha -
Seeing your post made me think of this topic we had here a couple months ago: But being that its a long off season & that we've had more than our fair share of players who haven't worked out, theres no shortage of jerseys i imagine that'd fit this list. I don't have the money to buy jerseys like i'd like to, especially investing into a player that may end up gone, like my Fitzpatrick or McGahee jerseys. So now a days I'll put my own name on the back of it, since you can't ever go wrong with that. PS: I'm glad I never bought a Poz or Dareus jersey. Come to think of it, there's not many BIlls players i'd want as a jersey. But all that's starting to change. Maybe that in itself is a sign that times here are changing... and for the better!

I don't know about this year but I know last year I had no problem whatsoever watching the games live online. I won't promote any website here on this forum, but if you're somewhat savvy with the google searching you can find & watch any sporting event live from around the world. Whether it be minor league Badminton from Kazakhstan or professional hockey from the Swedish league... you can seriously find any sporting event to watch online as long as theres a camera & a feed being relayed. All that being said, it would be nice to know. Didn't WKBW show the other games last year? Yep, I just googled it, here's the info for this year, hope that helps: Week 1 -- Panthers at Bills (Aug. 9-12) Week 2 -- Bills at Browns (Aug. 16-19) Week 3 -- Bengals (and Andy Dalton) at Bills (Aug. 26, 4:00 p.m.) Week 4 -- Bills at Bears (Aug. 30) All four preseason games will be available to watch on 7ABC

I didn't leave it out because that in itself is what the whole issue is about. Thats why there have been protests. African Americans have a greater chance of a police encounter, have a greater chance to have force used against them, have a greater chance to be incarcerated, have a greater chance to get shot. There is a real issue of racial inequality when it comes to the criminal justice system. It's undeniable. What needs to happen now are serious discussions as to why this is the case & how do we fix it. Thats one good thing thats come up from the protests. People say all the time that "can't these players protest another way?' Well some have, but you wouldn't hear about them. When you think about it, this issue would've never gotten the attention it has if it wasn't for what the players did. Its unfortunate that their narrative got hijacked by the media & administration & turned into something else than it was, but that's what happens to any movement against the status quo.

While you are correct in that more white people have been killed by police, you need to look at the ratios per race. There are roughly 38 Million African Americans, while there are 247 Million Caucasians. The number of African Americans killed by police is a larger percentage of their population than Caucasians. Almost 5 to 1 i believe.

This is so true. Regarding the military many people don't know that starting out in 2015, the Department of Defense started dishing out Millions of Dollars to the NFL for such things as military flyovers, flag unfurlings, emotional color guard ceremonies, enlistment campaigns, and — interestingly enough — national anthem performances. Additionally, according to sources, the NFL’s policy on players standing for the national anthem also changed in 2009, with athletes “encouraged” thereafter to participate. Prior to that, teams were not given any specific instructions on the matter; some chose to remain in the locker room until after opening ceremonies were completed. (It’s unclear whether the policy change was implemented as a direct result of any Defense Department contracts.) In 2015 Jeff Flake & John McCain revealed in a joint oversight report that about $5.4 Million in tax payer dollars had been paid out to 14 NFL teams between 2011 & 2014 to honor service members & patriotic salutes to the military. Money is the real thing they care about. Seems like its always about the money.

Nate Davis: USA Today 2018 Season Projections
brianthomas replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a Bills fan i'd predict a record of 9-7 this year. With the bulk of our wins coming in the 2nd half of the season. Any predictions are problematic of course, as we've had so many changes & haven't seen what anything looks like yet. I surely don't expect us to be 3-13 though. 9-7 might be too high, but 3-13 is way too low imo. Our defense & running game alone should be enough to net us 5 or 6 wins. Throw in a couple games where we steal a few more wins & who knows, maybe we can get to 9-7 again. Since this is all conjecture anyways, how bout WE"RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL BABY! A Bills fan can DREAM, can't we?!?!!! Before we made the playoffs last year, dreaming of better days is all i've had for the past 17 years lol GO BILLS! -
NFL disperses record shared revenue
brianthomas replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The people who were 'mad' about the kneeling will have forgotten all about it in the future. Just like they have in the past with other issues. Only reason it got so much attention was the media exploiting it for their own agenda. As it is now people still say those that were kneeling were disrespecting the flag, which obviously wasn't the case. I didn't see anyone stick their middle finger at the flag or burn it. Nobody said screw the flag or down with America. This is a nation where 70% of Americans thought Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11. Propaganda is a powerful tool & most people don't realize it when they consume it. Anyways the NFL will be fine. What else is there to supplant it? -

Years ago I named my Golden Retriever: Molson. Does that mean i'm a bad person too? These comments about McCoys dogs name being some kind of indicator to him being a bad person are ridiculous even for this board lol -
What Is The Worst Bills Game You've Attended
brianthomas replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember that game. Season opener. I had sat 7 rows up from the field... bad idea. With the blistering heat it mustve been 120 where our seats were. Horrible game watching Aaron Brooks & Ricky Williams tear apart our defense. Rob Johnson with his 3 interceptions & 5 sack performance. That season opener was a bad omen for what was about to come. 17 years of playoff drought. I had forgot all about that game until i saw your post. Thanks for reminding me about it (sarcasm) haha -
This may not be what the op intended, but for me its wide right & the memories of losing 4 Super Bowls. For years commentators would always reference our Bills shortcomings from time to time whenever an opportunity arose. I'm sure a lot of you guys here maybe know what i'm talking about. I can't really point to a specific time, but we've been reminded of that kick & 4 superbowl losses for far too often in the past & its worn out for sure. Here's to this team changing the narrative & national perception of us being a losing franchise. I hope Poyer, Hyde & Edmunds make Gronk eat that Bills hat he threw on that dancefloor, as we pile up the wins & bring home a title! GO BILLS!

offseasons are SOOO LONNNGGG But no, the WR battle isnt the most significant. QB is by far. Its the most important position. One in which we've been searching for years to get right. One in which we made a bunch of moves to trade up in the draft to select one at #7. The WR battle surely is important & will be interesting to see how it plays out, but the OL battle should be interesting as well, and no less important. I suppose I could've just written: NO GO BILLS!

Done haha... now who do we talk to, to get this really done? For me & anyone i watch the games with, that whistle really is that bad. Its like finger nails on a chalkboard for me. I gotta stop thinking about it otherwise i'm gonna get mad haha

Omg if they replaced that stupid train whistle i'd be ecstatic. The train whistle doesn't even really make that much sense for our team. Its not like were the Buffalo Trains, we're the Buffalo Bills. How about instead of a whistle we hear the sound of hundreds of horses charging across the land? Anything would be better than that embarrassing whistle
