Bills @ Houston - White on Blue Jerseys
gjv001 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just stop the white on blue. WHITE ON WHITE!!!!!! -
I don't begrudge people making a living in the sports media world. More power to them. However, any rational person knows that's most sport media analyst don't have the qualifications to make assessments on such a small sample size. What's even more troubling, is how many people read this trash and believe it.

I would have thought we would at least ask him if he's had any chicken wings in the city.

We certainly didn't play well in Green Bay. But we could have looked better stinking up the Lambeau Field. White on White, please.

Is it possible they told Josh Allen to dial it down?
gjv001 replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. They did not tell Allen to dial it down. Allen had a terrible game and we got beat because of better match-ups for Green Bay, and they had a superior defensive scheme. Pretty simple folks. -
NO!! We will never have an offense. NEVER!! OK?

Would you rather have: Mahomes or both Allen & Tre?
gjv001 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe Allen is a more talented QB than Mahomes, and will have a far better NFL career. White is frosting on the trade cake. -
If Allen turns out to be a quality franchise QB, Beane and McDermott have a good shot of being very successful. With the most important member of the roster in place and playing at a very high level, it becomes very likely that you can build a perennial contender. Buffalo hasn't had luxury since Jim Kelly.

Bills Make National Headlines Consistently

So what's new? Pro Sports in Buffalo has been a negative story for most of this and the last century. -
The Bills Worked Out Eight Players Yesterday
gjv001 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These guys are already on the roster. -
Brought this point up yesterday, and suggested we hire a quality veteran QB, someone like Brett Farve. The Great Wizard of TBD stop the discussion, said the subject was already being discussed. Go figure.

Alabama would beat the Buffalo Bills, 'analysts' say
gjv001 replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some people are now going off the deep end. -
Based on the first two games of this season, I would think it's safe to say our chances of making the playoffs are not very good. I think the odds of a team starting the season 0-2 making the playoffs is 11%. However all may not be lost, this season could be a major step in preventing 0-2 starts for a long time. That step is the development of Josh Allen into a quality Franchise QB. Allen has all the natural gifts to become that QB. However, the one thing he appears to be lacking is a quality veteran QB as a mentor. I say "quality" because there are many veteran QB's that may not have the desired habits or techniques. I would like to see the Bills hire a veteran QB, perhaps Brett Farve, to help mentor Allen through this season.

We watched the game on an 85" Sony TV with Football Mode. Had Wings, fries, celery, carrots, and corn on the cob. Our group's ages were 72, 72, 48, 41, 13. Did not wait for Drinks or to use the bathroom. Did not have to pay $500 to have the opportunity to wait 40 minutes to be searched and scrutinized. Did not have to deal with any rude security people or request help from local law enforcement. We all have choices.

The only positive that I can see coming out of this season is for Allen to stay healthy and develop into a quality Franchise QB. Being realistic, other than Jerry Hughes and McCoy there isn't another player on this roster that could start for another team in the NFL. And when Allen is ready, say the 2020 season, I don't think there will be more than four current members of this roster still on the team. For all us Bills fans, I hope Beane is up to the challenge to build a winning roster, and luck is on his side.

2018 Bills free agents not good
gjv001 replied to remembersthegoodtime's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Compared to last season, we are doing poorly in selecting veteran free agents. Perhaps it's time to look at the people we have making veteran free agent evaluations. -
Why Josh Allen is Fit for Success and a Fit for Buffalo
gjv001 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not only does Allen have the physical tools to be a great franchise QB, he also has a strong desire to succeed. -
As much as I like McDermott as our head coach, he has crushed Petermans NFL career. Perterman may never have had the talent to be a starting QB. But I felt he had the ability to be a good back up. Playing Peterman in San Diego last year, way before he was ready to play, resulted in Peterman obtaining a negative stigma for interceptions. His poor performance in Baltimore may have been Peterman's pink slip out of the NFL.

Do NFL teams, or for that matter, professional franchises have personnel on staff or retainer to help these young adults handle all the negativity when they don't win? I would venture a guess that the Bills roster is going to get inundated on an hourly basis with negative comments from national media and social media from now until the start of the next training camps.

Grading the Pegulas Thus Far
gjv001 replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say buying the Sabres and keeping it in Buffalo is the most important thing they have done so far if I'm a Buffalonian. Yes, I understand the Sabres are not winning now. But for Buffalo Fans, I think they would take a losing Sabre Season over a NO Sabre season.
