Q&A with Brian Daboll (The Athletic)
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks Yolo. About the rules mentioned in the last paragraph. Can Josh call Daboll or stop into the facility whenever she wants during the offseason, or is he forbidden from reaching out? -
Hearing Broncos will let Matt Paradis test FA
RyanC883 replied to Patriot Killa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think MCD tells every FA they have to compete and earn the spot. So this does not rule out Morse or Paradis. MCD plays the best player, period. The Long signing also makes sense in that you get some cheap, good depth at the 2nd most important offensive position. -
Perhaps a change of scenery helps Malik. He'd be a great addition on a low-cost "prove it" deal.

Is it inconceivable for the Bills to trade for OBJ?
RyanC883 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is true, but also why Jones, Hopkins, Thomas, and Green are likely not available. Here is another way to take a risk on a great pass catcher w/o trading: Get Eifert in FA. Perhaps pair that with an AJ Green trade. -

Pittsburgh is not exactly stable at the moment. Perhaps Allen has a better ability to get the ball to OBJ than Manning? -
Ravens trading Joe Flacco to Broncos
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure how this helps Denver. I guess it's a "we have a great D" win-now and hope Flacco discovers his playoff MVP play again move. Otherwise, it's a slight upgrade. -
who needs Foster and Wallace!

Vinny Curry and Demaryius Thomas available.
RyanC883 replied to sunshynman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that's why it would be on a "prove-it" deal -
DE, 3 LBs, 2 OL, QB, WR, RB & ST wishlist?
RyanC883 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here is how this could happen in 2019. A few stretches here. The most likely, believe it or not, appears to be at the WR position if Foster plays the whole season like he did after week 10 last year. DE: Lawson, if he continues to improve and starts getting sacks in addition to batting down the ball. (or FA Tre Flowers or Demarcus Lawrence) 3 LB: Milano, Edmunds, Alexander, or White (rookie from LSU if drafted and BPA) 2 OL: Paradis (C from FA); Trent Brown (OT--FA) QB: Josh Allen. Improves intermediate passing, has better WR corp that does not drop balls. WR: Foster (whole season like his 2nd half last year, and he's a pro-bowl player) RB: Ingram or Coleman in FA; or someone from the draft with improved OL play. Or Shady with improved OL. ST: Punter Corey Bojorquez. Can pin the ball inside the 20 and kick long balls. -
Bills sign C Spencer Long to 3 year deal
RyanC883 replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this is a great signing, IMO. The Bills can get rid of Groy, who looked lost. We now have a swing backup. We can still go after one of the top 2 centers in FA, along with drafting and OT or two. Not bad for a backup center who could start at other parts on the line. You need depth at center. -

RyanC883 replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well, at least the Jets have NO center. hahaahahah. We have 3, albeit best as backup centers. -
Vinny Curry and Demaryius Thomas available.
RyanC883 replied to sunshynman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd take Thomas on a prove-it deal. -
What do you want to see this offseason: TRADES
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
D. Johnson would be nice. Chubb unlikely to be available. -
What do you want to see this offseason: Free Agency
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure why the game is setup with one from each position. Why not 3 from the 5 million slot? Or any combo that gets to 15 mill? Going with the one player in each, I get: Paradis; Jessie James; Trent Brown; Jordan Phillips; and Cole Beasley. Going just to 15 in any manner: Paradis (5 million); Jessie James (4 million); T. Williams (4 million) Adam Humphreys (1 million); Jordan Phillips (1 million); -
Humphries, Williams and Patterson. Def on Humphries, because we need someone with great hands to catch the short-intermediate routes.

Should look familiar to Bills fans
RyanC883 replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McVay was awful. A few 3rd and 2's, and he has Goff rolling out and passing. Hand it off, and go for it on 4 and 1. Or have a designed QB sneak. I kept thinking that JA wins that game. -
Could the Bill's end up with 2 first rounders?
RyanC883 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Risner is getting some 1st day love in some mocks. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2019-nfl-mock-draft-dolphins-pick-dwayne-haskins-raiders-land-two-pass-catchers/ -
Could the Bill's end up with 2 first rounders?
RyanC883 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be fine with this. I think we would not only get an extra 1st, but another 2nd or 3rd. In that case, you still get a great WR and OT in the 1st round. Then use the extra pick on a RB. You could end up with Hockenson (TE) and Brown (OT); or Brown and Brown (OT and WR); or Risner (OT) and Metcalf (WR); or perhaps still grab Lawrence (DL) and a OL. Lots of great players available there. -
I think Croom improves next year, but I'd completment him by cutting clay and getting an all-around TE in Jesse James in FA. Not a fan of drafting TE's high.
-
Why not. Seems to fit what Daboll likes to do, and on a cheap vet contract it would allow us to also grab Tate in FA, along with a Center and DT/Edge.

Some interesting background here about the guy who made the graphic. https://247sports.com/nfl/pittsburgh-steelers/Article/Fired-KDKA-employee-explains-Tom-Brady-cheater-graphic-128523496/ 1. He is a Brady fan, or so he claims! 2. He was originally told he was getting a written warning, then later, terminated. 3. There is a go-fund-me page. After he gets a job, he is donating the money to a charity in Brady's name. 4. IMO, some thin-skinned people out there to fire someone over this.

Tyrod Taylor has 'nothing but love' for Buffalo
RyanC883 replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally agree. If you want to blame other things for your benching, fine, I totally get that. But saying it's because of your skin color is not only excuse making, but calling your coaches and fans racist. IMO, calling someone a racist is a serious accusation.
