Ted Washington not impressed with Bills DL
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
totally agree. When you can't sack Broken Back Bradford, you lack a difference maker. We don't have anyone who the offense has to plan around. A lot of good players, now add a stud and this D is #1 in the league by a mile. -
I hope you guys get a Big W this week

First Half: Wk 15 Lions at Bills 1 pm FOX
RyanC883 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we need DL help. Can't sack an immobile QB and getting gashed by backup RB's. Embarrassing. -
Can Allen throw for 300 Yds today?
RyanC883 replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Zay doesn't drop passes, I can see Foster and Zay reaching around 100 yards each. Can Ford catch it out of the backfield. I have a feeling he sees more time than Murphy at RB. -
Where will Joe Flacco land this offseason?
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was trying to place him somewhere, and your right, this does make the most sense. Allows Jax to also draft a rookie to learn from Flacco in Rd. 2 or something. Flacco would have a TON of weapons in Jax. -
Great topic, OP: QB: Allen WR: Jones WR: Foster OL: Teller OL: Dawkins TE 2: Croom (in two TE sets, starter will be FA pickup. Hopefully Jessie James or Cook) That's about it. I think Bodine is a backup (a good one), and will be replaced in FA. That will give Allen 2 vet centers. RB: I don't see McCoy starting. I could see Ford (can't wait to see him today) taking his spot, or a new drafted RB, or someone like Coleman from ATL.

Barnwell: Progress Report on 2018 1st Round QBs
RyanC883 replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
two great points by both posters here. but whatever you think of Allen, the article sounds like it's over the top in its criticism. Allen needs to fix the accuracy and touch on intermediate passes. Bills need an actual OL and WR's (or TE's) who don't drop the ball so often. -
Barnwell: Progress Report on 2018 1st Round QBs
RyanC883 replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good points. But if TT was on our team this year, without McCoy to carry him, he'd be abysmal. -
I'd shut him down if I'm the Eagles. Sounds like it will heal properly if not reaggravated. WHAT!!! They found a fracture and didn't tell him. If that's true, that's an issue on a LOT of levels. If true, and I'm Wentz, I'm demanding a trade ASAP and sitting out the rest of the year (what he should be doing anyway so the fracture is not aggravated.)

Potential Cut Candidates in the Offseason
RyanC883 replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no way Star gets cut. He's been decent at opening holes for the LB's and clogging space. He's only cut if we get a DT in the 1st, and even then I don't see the need to cut a position of strength. Clay is gone. Esp. if we upgrade in FA with Jessie James, Eifert, or Cook. some great WR names in that list. I'd like a lot of them, esp. Marvin Jones. -
Barnwell: Progress Report on 2018 1st Round QBs
RyanC883 replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't read it, but the claim is that Allen hasn't gotten better? Allen is still shaky in a number of ways, most notably accuracy and touch on intermediate passes. But Allen has MUCH better pocket awareness than he did in the beginning of the season. Which is good, since his pocket basically lasts 1 second with this OL. -
You make a great point. And the colts had a decent draft last year, despite all the moving down. my question is: are any good DL available in the late 1st/2nd round. Ideally we can trade back and still get day 1 impactful: OL, DL, and WR in the first 2 rounds. I love the idea of brining in a high quality vet center for a rookie QB. Bodine would then be a fantastic backup for that center.

Vikings Fire OC John DeFilippo
RyanC883 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cousins is vastly overrated. With the offensive weapons he has, that offense should be scoring 30 points a game. The OL is apparently bad. But Cousins has underwhelmed given the fantastic WR duo and TE he has. Perhaps the OL makes running impossible, but I'd be upset as a Vikings fan to have so much money tied up in Cousins. -
Robert Foster nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this is fantastic. Bills player nominated 2 weeks in a row. Foster also looks much improved during the year. His route running looked great last week. Ran a lot of intermediate routes. -
Are the Lions sort of the Bills of the NFC?
RyanC883 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wow. yeah, that is MUCH worse. -
Hopefully Stanford, but he is listed as the backup MLB. But he looked good and rangy filling-in for Edmunds earlier. Here is the official depth chart: https://www.buffalobills.com/team/depth-chart

McDermott is going to cost us in a big game
RyanC883 replied to HomeskillitMoorman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the 55 yard field goal with an injured kicker was a head-scratcher. either punt and pin them back, or better yet, let JA and the offense try to execute a 4th down. -
Jordan Jenkins threatened to kill Dion Dawkins
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought it was a really dumb play. I don't know why Dawkins would intentionally do that. It looked like he was surprised Teller was blocking Jenkins. Just dumb all around. 15 yard penalty. And if dirty, even worse. this is why I disagree that it was dirty. I think Dawkins went to chop block him, and was surprised or did not know that Teller was already engaged. Just a dumb play, but as you correctly point out, part of playing on the DL. -
Big Picture: I am optimistic
RyanC883 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't take it personally. We are all Bills fans here and want the team to win. Here are my thoughts: 1. If Crossman is gone, the loss is almost worth it yesterday. ST has been abysmal, largely due to horrid coaching. 2. The D does look promising, but it looked old yesterday. No hits on Darnold??! That's either Frazier, or age. In any event, drafting a pass-rushing freak in the 1st round will help. (another Josh Allen! LB-KY, or Ed Oliver.) 3. I also share your optimism that the FO will bring in quality players. Not to mention the fact that Foster looks much improved in-season. People said he was a burner, he is running some great routes. Zay should be even better. 4. Key for me is if Allen's accuracy and touch will improve. Bills need to get a dedicated QB coach. Allen has all the tools, but so far, I've seen little improvement other than pocket awareness (which is big, but then the ball zooms w/o touch, and inaccurately). 5. FA: Center, TE, and whatever studs you can get. Draft: BPA (pass rusher); WR in rd. 2; then we still need OL, RB, etc. -
Ball Security Not all that Important to Josh Allen
RyanC883 replied to RobH063's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What growth have you seen? You know what my agenda is: seeing the Bills win games. Your agenda is defending JA at all costs. I really hope he improves. I've seen zero improvement, although pocket awareness has improved. But the throwing has not. Hopefully that's next. BTW, have a great day! (not being sarcastic. the internet is impersonal, and I want JA to be the answer. But I need to see better accuracy and touch). I guess we will all get our answers next year with an improved OL and WR and RB. -
2004 game v. Steelers. Steelers "backups" (a lot of whom become the core of the Steelers SB win a few years later) beat the Bills in a meaningless win for the Steelers. Was the worst loss, esp. at the time. And esp. since I was watching it with Steeler fans.
