The kid is a good QB. Not Hall of Fame; not great; but pretty damn good. I agree that we should draft a QB in the 2nd round unless our #1 prospect is sitting there at #10. BTW, I always like trading down unless Mr Wonderful is available when we are picking.

I like Mahomes. I'm hoping he is available for us in the 2nd round.

I think that he sees them. He doesn't have the confidence to pull the trigger in the middle because of all those Safeties & dropping LBs. I think that unlike accuracy, confidence can be upgraded through experience. IMO

What cluster f*** ? They fired a coach. They appointed an interim one. They are sitting the QB for business/ contract reasons. Most of us completely understand exactly what is going on.

Like between any GM & Coach, there are going to be agreements & disagreements. You can't really expect them to talk publicly about their disagreements or throw some of the players under the bus. Hence, we hear how aligned their philosophies are. Why would someone come here ?? I can think of 12-15 million good reasons.

When scouting QBs, most coaches & scouts rely way too much on measurables. You know - 6'4", strong arm, gonna be the next Montana. What really matters when looking at a QB is football smarts, accuracy & confidence. I think that he was benched in favor of a running QB which fit their scheme.

Rex always goes soft at the end of halves & at end of games.. I'll bet we blitz less often than half of the coaches in this league.

The key word in your reply is "decent". He wants top 5 $$$$$$. Let him walk.

We don't need high priced studs at DB if we don't put them on an island. A steady veteran free agent DB & more zone packages would free up money that is maybe going to Gilmore.. Of course that means getting rid of Rex.
