  1. I essentially said the same thing in another thread. I was told that we would be taking a significant cap hit.
  2. I like TT & would hope we keep him. However, if they decide to go in a different direction - a few crazy thoughts. Would the Browns or another QB needy team be interested in a draft day trade AFTER we pick up his option ? Is it unrealistic that the Browns, Jets, Sf etc might take TT & swap 1st rounders? What if, prior to the draft, we put the word out that TT is available ? The QB needy teams would get TT & the 10th pick in exchange for their pick. We get a top 5 pick. Assuming that this was doable, we could then trade that pick for much needed picks somewhere toward the later 1st round plus additional picks. Or, just use the top 5 pick if we choose that route. Is that scenario doable ? Is it unrealistic ? Btw, if either the Bills or the other team had to throw in another mid round pick, would that then make this trade feasible ? Just some random thoughts while I'm debating whether to get Center Ice here in FL. I posted this in another thread but this thread is the more appropriate forum. Sorry about that.
  3. Relax Bob. It is a particularly boring time of the year for football fans

  5. I agree. Also, everyone assumes that 3 runs & a FG is what's going to happen. I bet it is 50-50 that Atl picks up a first down running & the game is over thus negating the need for a FG try.
  6. The Bengals have Green & a high draft pick from last year.
  7. I saw him play twice this year. He looked like a likely 3rd stringer. I would rather have a young kid on a rookie contract as my depth QB.
  8. Not saying that we can do better than G in the draft. But, perhaps we can put $14M to better use at another 1-3 positions. G is pretty good but he is definitely replacable.
  9. And don't forget that many Buffalonians also watch the game in bars & at SB parties. So, the numbers are more accurate than most people think.
  10. Yup. The "great" Kyle Shanahan called a lousy game. Also, although Ryan is a very good QB, his situational awareness left me cold. Third & 1 in FG range, he can not take a sack. He has to know that. No sack most likely = win.
  11. I think that perhaps the Bills are leaking in order to put a little pressure on Tyrod to renegotiate. Maybe ???
  12. Hooker is the best DB that I've seen in quite a while. If he drops, grab him, just like Miami did with Tunsil. He''ll be productive the 1st year, hopefully, and a very good starting DB thereafter. Just my opinion in watching him play 2 games.
  13. Edelman is probably won of the best slot receivers in the game & perhaps ever. You might be able to name a few better, but not many. Woods is decent but he is the definition of average.
  14. I think the season was only 12 games back then.
  15. Did you see Dalton vs the Bills ? At home against our bottom half D, he looked pretty bad.
  16. I think he is gone, Kirby. $12M will fill a few holes. IMO Gilmore is replaceable.
  17. Fans rarely like their OC's. I guess we think that we could call plays better. Fans are the masters of hindsight.
  18. Getting to like the idea of moving back in the 1st & getting another 2nd which we can then use on a QB. Having said that though, I like Tyrod a lot & think that he can still improve. Still need to draft one just in case he regresses.
  19. That's one side of the coin. The other side is we let him walk; he takes another team to the playoffs; we go 3-13 with our new rookie QB who is looking more & more like a bust. My hypothetical is just as far fetched as yours. I also think that coaches aren't stupid. If they have a stud ( Mahomes ), they will soon know it & play him. In that scenario we do whatever Dallas will be doing this off season with Romo. Hypothetically speaking of course.
  20. They just received a 4th round compensatory pick.
  21. I don't know how many games you watch, but I would not place Dalton, Bridgewater, Mariota, Wentz, & Palmer as QB's that are better than TT. Perhaps, some of them might become so, but not at this moment.
  22. When 80% of your players at one position become injured at the same time, what would you have preferred that Whaley do ?
  23. OCs are always fodder for fans. Bad play calling; should have passed, not run; blah blah blah.
