They actually regressed to the mean. Their offense was suspect all year, it did not matter who was the QB. Wilson was the scapegoat, but their offense sucked with all four QBs. White is probably the only serviceable one, but he is no franchise keeper.
Good Game Day Morning, TBD! .... There has been so much hype for this game it feels like the Conference Championship. I've got nothing to add to the hype. "Just win baby, just win!" That's all I got: Josh and the boys, just win!
LETS GO BUFFALO!!!
The Philosopher, Mr. Gregory Rousseau, on Defense = 2 sacks, 2 batted passes, and 5+ tackles
On Offense, Allen dink-and-dunks to Beasley all game = 8 catches, 60+ yards, 5 first downs
Of all the stupidity that was Rex Ryan, this was the best, or worst. And that is saying something as there were so many to choose from. His new defense sucked, gave up nearly 500 yards in the second game of the season to the Jets and his answer was to fire the OC (Graig Roman) after two games. The Defense would go on on to have a historic drop from top 3 to the bottom part of the league.
This is so weird, but deep down I hope the Pats win to help keep the Fish out of the play-offs. Then again, all for naught as the Pats will loose next week in Buffalo.
We are incredibly blessed to have Bates. He is the ultimate Swiss Army Knife of olinemen. Not sure there is a noticeable drop off when he is at center. The issue is who replaces him at RG
Fortunately, and unlike in college, the rankings mean nothing. Seeding counts, but most and of only importance, it is the results of the games that count.
I said this in the Numbers thread, and worth repeating here:
It all adds up to a very simple formula for winning this game: (1) No turnovers, and (2) reduce the penalties (especially the holding penalties--on both sides of the ball).
