NFL Week #18 - Patriots @ Bills - Pregame thread!
CSBill replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good Game Day Morning TBD! .... Wow! What a week. The emotional roller coaster I have been on has left me exhausted, I can only imagine where the players are today. Here's hoping their skill and professionalism, and adrenaline, carry them today. I hope some day Damar Hamlin realizes how he did something incredible by bringing a country together (and I do mean that, yes, the country needed something to rally behind) at least for a few days. This team, the Mafia, Western NY, and really, this country (sorry Pats fans, I know you are human too) wants (needs?) this team to win today. Regardless, let's celebrate life, the medical people who train their entire lives--over and over--to serves us, the game of football, the Buffalo Bills, and most significantly, Damar Hamlin the person, today. LETS GO BUFFALO! Also, @Chandler#81 you good? -
That is good for him. I really felt bad for him. In the of the most unprecedented crisis a football team has ever had to face and everything is on hold, but they still had time to be sure you were cut. Wow! A stark reminded this is still a business. Maybe it was his choice not to come back to the PS, but it still had to be hard to take. Glad he gets another opportunity somewhere.

Potential decision made for Championship Game location
CSBill replied to Ra-cha-cha's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good choice, you know there won't anything else going on there. -
A lot of mistakes from being too hyped up early, Pats hang for a while (mid 2nd Q), and then Bills roll, Josh and many starters sit most of the 4th quarter: Bills 34 Pats 13

All things considered (travel, stadium, availability, experience and capability of hosting a huge event, hotels, etc.), it seems to me Atlanta is the place. They can start preparing now. -
NFL Week #18 - Around the NFL Saturday edition
CSBill replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
There has been a lot of ink spilled and words wasted about the fairness of the new play-off scenarios. But we have a simple pathway this weekend to straightening it all out: Raiders beat the Chiefs Bengals beat the Ravens Bills win These three things happen, and all is right with the football world again. #3 Strong! Continued prayers for Damar -
He has one game to learn the Safety position. Get it done CB!

NFL Resolution to Adjust the AFC Playoffs- Poll
CSBill replied to Rocky Landing's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Cincinnati thing is interesting. If they were to lose this weekend, they would be 0-2 versus the Ravens, 2-4 in their division. They got a lot of help to win their division. So I find it hard to be too sympathetic for them. Just win and show you truly deserve the division. -
NFL Resolution to Adjust the AFC Playoffs- Poll

I would love to see who voted what. But its probably good we will never know--at least not until long after the season is over. -
Wow! I didn’t know she was ranked that high.

Speaking of Von, not sure what to make of it, and probably nothing, but I’ve noticed I have not seen or heard him at all this week. Just curious?
-
Great idea!

Agree, Adam.

Perfectly said, @Shaw66 Thank you for eloquently putting into words what we are all feeling. Your best ever. "Fight on!"

Any scheduled Press Conferences today?
-
Good question. I suspect they make it stick.

Curious how the refs will call games this week.

I imagine we won’t see the stupidity like NY Giants rookie did last week. -
Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
CSBill replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hear you GT and appreciate your perspective--and on the KC point, I totally agree. But with any solutions that involves resuming the game, there are so many logistical gymnastics that would need to be considered and done. If they do end up playing it, I suspect they do it after week 18 and then push the start of play-offs back (and maybe that would be good for every team considering the circumstances) and eliminate the two week window between the Conference Finals and the SB. But think about this, if they do end up coning up with a way to finish this games, at least one of these teams, and probably both, would be further stressed with all the negatives of having to play another game: the logistics, the prep work, not to mention the physical tool, the emotional burden, etc. If the game is resumed--no matter one--It seems to me you are putting both teams at a serious competitive disadvantage over every other team that qualified for the play-offs. I doubt they will do that. Well neither of us will have a say, so we'll see. In the meantime, be well TBD friend. -
Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
CSBill replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is no way this game is completed. If this happened before Dec 1, something probably could have been worked out. But not at this point in the season. If all teams were affected, then yes, something would be done. But that is not the case. .... In the end, the only fair thing they can do for all NFL teams is go by winning % for the play-off seeding. Maybe I lack faith, but I do not see any other fair solution with all the ancillary issues: player safety and metal health, schedules, TV money, competitive fairness, etc. -
It was an impossible night. There is no preparing for this type of thing, and in it their character shone through. I think Booger McFarland, Ryan Clark, and Lisa Salter were rock stars in their handling of this situation. #PrayingForDamar
