  1. Winfield just released: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000236919/article/antoine-winfield-reportedly-cut-by-seattle-seahawks
  2. this guy! now! Antonie Winfield! just released
  3. He was good enough to be selected as a replacement for the Pro Bowl last year: link Like . . . ah?, hmmm?, you know? ah? . . . on the Bills?
  4. Hogan is a keeper, a Wes Welker type of player
  5. the three I would take a look at: Webb, Starks, Dixon .... I think all three would be back-up upgrades. And as a few mentioned, Webb might be an eventual candidate for LG.
  6. Somewhere in the world, Dick Jauron is smiling.
  7. Someone in the national media said it (I can't recall whom), I was also thinking it, and I believe we saw it last night: The advantage of Lewis over Lienart is his athleticism and ability to move/run. They're about equal in passing ability (and neither one was that good), but with the state of this team, and the lack of time to learn the full offense, the new backup QB who can run and make things happen with his feet is more valuable than the immobile one. It has to be Lewis.
  8. I'm with you on that, I still can't figure out why we didn't make a run at him .... but maybe he didn't want to stay here. Wasn't he an All-Pro last season? Regardless, I think Snow will be the top interior reserve, he has played both guard and center. Sam Young did some time at LG in the early pre-season as well. Next option, go dumpster diving on Saturday.
  9. No, it's Flutie, and after how he was treated at the end, this franchise deserves it. Who sits their starting QB in the play-offs? One of the great mysteries of all time.
  10. The current QB situation does add a lot more intrigue to what otherwise would have been a glorified practice . . . I am more interested in Lewis, I think he is far more athletic and has a bigger upside than Lienart. It will be interesting to see how they perform (as well as Tuel - will he take advantage of this opportunity?).
  11. good! Keep him as far away from the field as you can on Thursday night. He'll be back for NE
  12. just their play during the games
  13. this .... and just like last year, this team will win or lose based on how well the Defense can, or cannot, stop the run against them. But yes, feed the running backs, and don't let up
  14. That is totally inappropriate, the man's career is on the line, and he could possibly have longterm health issues. No matter what you think about him as a QB, there is no place for this kind of heartless cynicism, even on a free-for-all fan discussion board.
  15. only on Wikipedia ..... "While in high school, Lewis was trained by the well known Floridian quarterback coach, Chris Fahr. Fahr trained Lewis, along with other standout American Football quarterbacks such as Matt Wilde, John Glazier, and Stephen Guenther" WHO? I've never heard of any of those "standout American Football quarterbacks."
  16. You trade away a guy who would have been on your final roster for a scout team QB .... I doubt it? There are plenty of unemployed exCollege QB's that could perform that duty. My prediction, in the end Lewis will prove to be a better option than Lienhart. He may even end up being the longterm backup (that is, if Kolb is really done).
  17. Camp help at best .... Now they need to start working on serious candidates for the back-up spot (I for one, am not convinced that Tuel is the best option for that); consider this, the Eagles will not keep Dennis Dixon on their roster. He has always intrigued me. With Kolb's future in serious question, I would love to see the BIlls take a flier on him as longterm solution for a back-up.
