  1. now those are two informative reviews . . . and while I do want to give the Bills D credit (it is deserved for a good effort), his observation that this game was more about the limitations and schemes of the Patriots Offensive than great a Bills Defense, is probably correct.
  2. I place a lot of blame on the "offensive" play calling. For all the hype, it really was very vanilla. Some of that was protecting Manuel, rarely were they in anymore than a three receiver set with max protection, and it sure looked like they kept calling the same running play the entire game--i.e., no read option. Again, was this to protect Manuel's knee? Take note, in the few times the ball was targeted down the field, it worked = Touchdowns. However, i think one BIG factor that has not been mentioned much, was starting field position. How many drives did the Bills start inside their own 20?
  3. Reason for this loss = 1) Defense couldn't get off the field .... 2) Kelly wouldn't run the ball ....
  4. For me, the most disappointing thing was the very Unimaginative play calling . . . especially after all the hype
  5. you know, I have wondered that too, none of us had heard of TJ before he was picked, and we all knew what potential TY had
  6. "you both" ...... What ????
  7. I thought both played well, and I would add Brooks and Robey did as well. And although there were not a lot of sacks, Brady was picking himself up off the ground on a lot of plays, so pressure was there.
  8. Indeed, the offensive side of the ball (coaching) was not ready for the NFL today, let's hope they learn soon
  9. I love Stevie, and yes the ball was not thrown well .... but that play right there vividly illustrates why one team on the field hasn't been to play-offs in 13 years. Great teams, Good teams, make those hard plays when they're most needed.
  10. Fred Jackson is a professional football player, Spiller has far more natural ability (speed), but still learning--after 3 years--how to be a professional. Comparing the two today, that was obvious.
  11. Well, a moral victory, but who cares about that. The Defense played well. Manuel did fine, not spectacular but did what he should . . . although I question his judgement on that last pass. Spiller did nothing, I really wish they would have had Fred in on the last drive and give him the ball three times, at least you run a few minutes off the clock. And was it me, or did Pettine chock on calling the blitz in the 4th quarter? Or did I miss it? And speaking of that last drive, that, I would say, was I HUGE coaching blunder, run the ball, and run the clock. Lets hope Marrone learned something about game management today.
  12. Sunday 1:00 PM .... ""Where else would you rather be than right here, right now?" !!!!!
  13. Lets wait and see how this season goes
  14. Well, as his future would be in the GM's hand, whomever it was, I think it was only right he would know if that was already in the works.
  15. New England less than 100 yards rushing
  16. a high character person
  17. No matter how prepared or healthy or rusty EJ is, it would be smart to pound the ball all day long: Spiller right, Spiller left, Jackson right, Jackson left, we may even give Choice a carry or two, and who's our fullback now? give him a few as well, etc. And let's not forget, for all the excitement about our new highly aggressive defense (which I'm all in favor of), they were still getting gashed in the preseason running game (which was a huge issue last year--NEWS FLASH: our biggest problems from last year was not the QB or the offense). The longer we can keep our defense off the field, the better for everyone.
  18. I know we're better than both the Colts and Vikings, we crushed them in the preseason!
  19. Okay, I get it, Hopkins injured. But why not bring back Lindell, I think he would be more reliable than Carpenter?
  20. Well, considering all that has happened to the Bills the past two weeks, maybe it's time for some Divine intervention? Maybe Tim T. can break the dreaded evil Doug Flutie curse.
  21. Many have mentioned Minnifield, why does he remind of Leodis Mc.? High pick, looks like he should e good, but just doesn't get it done? Chase Minnifield: http://www.nfl.com/p...2532913/profile However, he may still be better than what we have now.
  22. I was wondering about that little fact.
  23. Three observations/thoughts: 1) First, I think it means they feel very confident that EJ Manuel will be back next week. 2) As for a 3rd QB, I have liked the idea of Dixon all along--much better option than the list of Notre Dame rejects listed above. 3) I would assume they are in discussions with someone or this move would not have been made today (that is, cutting Lewis).
