  1. I think they meant, "Jordon Phillips"--do they ever fact check themselves? Regardless, I think anyone who has paid attention to the Bills the past two years knows this is a non-issue with the way they rotate their d-linemen. All four will receive just about equal playing time, whether called 1st or 2nd team. In their system, being labeled 1st team is probably more of an honor than status. Oliver's ego may take a small hit, but he'll be seeing plenty of action once the pads go on.
  2. Actually, the Pats will pick him up, convert him back to a QB and he will replace Brady and lead them to 5 more Super Bowls over the next 10 years . . . and Bills be continual losers and we fans will lament letting him go for the next 15 years.
  3. In the battle of Cory/Corey punters: Cory Carter out punts and out passes Corey Bojorquez.
  4. Interesting. ... We have six weeks to speculate. It seems the only certainty right now is Dawkins at LT and Morse on the middle, after that, there is no idea. And we won't until the first few days of camp.
  5. Okay, you're right! We should have drafted Darnold, or anybody else. Do you feel better now? So, go back to the basement and breakdown some more film, the rest of us will go off to work today. Have a good one. .... For everyone else, NO MORE POSITIVE JOSH ALLEN posts! This issue is settled.
  6. Why do you think Morse is on doubt" And Feliciano has been the main back-up, and you also have Long available. Bodine won't even be on the team. Maybe you missed that strategy???
  7. I think the BIG positive in all this discussion is the Bills can now experiment and actually out the best five OL people out there. It seems every one of them (except Morse, he's a lock at Center) are able to play multiple positions. This group has real on-field diversity. With that, find the other top four guys then figure out how to best line them up. Related, while not a major concern, the one disappointment out of OTAs is the many injuries to O-linemen. It suspect it slowed down the process of accessing who could best fit where. We'll see once Training Camp opens, but for now I would bet it's the best four after Morse--then figure out the best place to put each.
  8. I think Ford will eventually be a decent, maybe, very good player. But if he doesn't start, it is not necessarily a bad thing. As a matter of fact, right now his odds of starting are probably less than 50%. But that in no way implies he's a bust or poor pick. If the FA pick-ups are doing their job, there will be no need to rush Ford. If Nsehke plays to the level of his signing money, he should be the starter. I hope he is, and I hope it gives Ford time to develop, or, maybe Ford ends up being the starting right guard?
  9. That thought, comment, is not original Grego, it's been around leadership literature for a long time.
  10. Why are we not getting regular Tweets and updates from reporters at camp? Come on, I need my fix!
  11. McCoy isn't linked to this, right?
  12. Meanwhile, this just in from Miami: "On the negative side, former Bills starter Jordan Mills has disappointed to the point where he lost his first-team right tackle position after a week, replaced by guard Jesse Davis the past two days. Nate Orchard abused Mills for two sacks on Tuesday." Yeah, we're going to miss you Jordan Mills.
  13. I for one will say he was who I wanted all along, and everything he has done since then has justified my thinking! #FranchiseQB
  14. I have felt the same way. "Just how stupid do they think we are?"
  15. I had a good friend who played a couple of years NFL backup QB, and in the old USFL. I made the mistake of playing catch with him one day, my hands hurt for a week. I was a decent athlete in my day, college baseball, but I never had anyone throw like that. These guys are in a different world.
  16. Someone, please correct his grammar, he meant, "It's going well," "Pretty well" "I'm well," etc., etc.
  17. I hope you're doing well with that. Stay strong.
  18. And, your new presumed starter just hurt his foot again, that has to give him more leverage for whatever he's asking.
  19. And by the way, Roman and he are on the opposite ends of the IQ scale--that won't help. Would love to be a fly on the wall in those meetings.
  20. That's probably an insult to RG3, he actually was a decent thrower and, of course, could run. His problem ended up being a body that could not take an NFL pounding week after week. Jackson can run, and that's about it. The Chargers figured out how to stop him, so that blueprint is now public. It seems pretty simple, force him to throw because that is what he is terrible at. His only success in passing was on plays that broke down and he and his receivers were running all over the field in scramble drills. I don't see that as a sustainable plan for success. It will get you some exciting results sometimes, but sustainable and formula for winning in the NFL? No.
  21. Growing up where I did, in the boonies of northern PA, the only TV we got--when my father had the antenna turn to the right position--was the Buffalo stations. That's all I knew. Yes, they were bad then, but once you become a Bills fan, it's a life-long commitment. ?
  22. Having been a Bills fan since I can remember as a child, somewhere in the late 1960s--pre OJ days, I have to agree with you Shaw. The optimism that surrounds this team now feels much like the early 90s and the run up to the SB years. We had a great coach, a great QB, a lot of talent, etc. Obviously, we're not there yet, but it sure feels like we will be soon. Great read, thanks for the work.
  23. Good correction and a Bills win that day will be historic.
