  1. That is a huge point. If you trade down with the intent to draft a particular person at that spot, you can get burnt--always have a 2nd & 3rd option. But, if you know you want a guy (like TJ Hock), just use the 9th pick you have. Don't get too cute trying to at something and risk losing the guy you really want. If he is the guy you want to get, get him when you can.
  2. I'm warming to the idea, would not be disappointed with him at 9
  3. As others have said, the MVP post in this thread. Besides the obvious (getting open and catching the ball), his ticket to making this team will be blocking and special teams contribution. If he can do these well, he has a good shot. And as you point out, if he is adept at blocking, he has the body size to be a hybrid TE/WR role. I'm rooting for him.
  4. all the punter changes also hurt the field goal kicking, too many changes and struggled with timing As for drafting one, the guy from Utah in the 6th
  5. This, I agree with. They might add a draft pick to that competition, but these signings allow Teller and Boettger to develop. If one of them develops quickly enough to replace one of the new FAs, then great. If not, we have three new guys that are NFL quality.
  6. I would not be surprised if one of the FA we signed this year ends up being traded at some time, or maybe one of the younger guys with upside: Teller, Boettger, McDemott?
  7. When is the draft, anyway? Its got to be soon, right? . . . But not soon enough.
  8. A high potential that these are your starting guards this year; they will be fighting it out with Teller, Boettger, and a mid-round draft pick. I think these two win.
  9. Isn't McCary projected by some in the 2nd round?
  10. Except for that drop against the Browns. ?
  11. details? profile? stats?
  12. I opened this thread just read the roasting, and to get some laughs this morning, not disappointed.
  13. Just voted, still 50/50. But I was really surprised that we upset the Packers. Huge Win!
  14. Oh yes, I forgot about him in all the other activity. Indeed, I do think (hope) he adds to it.
  15. What was a liability last year--our receivers--is now a strength: Brown, Beasley, Jones, Foster
  16. finally, something intelligent from a Patriot fan
  17. There was actually video evidence of Kelvin Benjamin getting open for a pass last season! Who knew?
  18. they just don't want to live in Buffalo
  19. hopefully, it means we will not be using a 1 or 2, or 3, pick, on a corner
  20. Seems like "mean steak" has characterized every FA signing, and heading towards draftee. I like that, we need a line full of Richie Incognito types
