  1. Why does anyone need to convince you, Mel Kiper, Sean Salisbury, douchebag Adam Schein, et al that this was a "good pick"??? The kid hasn't even suited up yet. How the hell do you quantify him as good or bad without seeing him play for the Bills? Time will tell. All of these fugging so called "experts" are annoying and have an agenda...either selling magazines or filling air-time. Ignore them and judge, not pre-judge, for yourself. He's not holding out. These players are all "slotted". As soon as the players drafted above him start signing, he'll ink with the Bills. Most of these things seem to shake out close to the eve of training camps.
  2. Yes: "September 6, 1992 -- LOFTON PASSES LARGENT IN RECEIVING YARDS In a season opening 40-7 win over the Los Angeles Rams, James Lofton became the NFL leader in receiving yards, breaking Steve Largent's record of 13,089 yards." http://www.buffalobills.com/history/September.jsp Yes, it was.
  3. I definitely agree with two of these: 1) Starting in 1988 the Bills are 16-3 for my "annual pilgrimage" (two games in both '98 & '01). I coming up for the Minnesota game. Chalk it up. 2) Currently, Vegas has your fiancee leaving you at 2-1. I'm in for a grand.
  4. Oh, you were sooooooooo close. Perry Tuttle "wins" this title but thanks for playing and be sure to pick up your consolation prize on the way out.
  5. Copycat... 42
  6. Maybe the third time will be the charm.
  7. I hope you're wrong...I have a WM Replica Throwback hanging in my closet. I'm not the best judge when it comes to authentics. I have a Bledsoe AND an RJ! Others (older): Bryce Paup and Cornelius Bennet
  8. Longevity...Attitude...Skill... I'd say all three of these factor into the decision. If I were to buy an authentic, today, I'd get Lee Evans'.
  9. Daunte Culpepper Julius Jones Willie Parker
  10. Ditto. I was floored when I saw this and just finished reading all 14 pages. Due to firewalls at work, I can no longer post weekdays and don't log on as frequently at home in the evenings. I'm sorry that I didn't see this sooner. It's a shame that BiB didn't realize how much he touched the people on this board whether they knew him or not, myself included. Count me among those who didn't know him personally but exchanged pleasantries and thread responses with him. I always liked his wit and style and most (if not all) of his posts and was always glad to see him logged on whenever I visited. You will be missed, Paul, and I hope that you are now at peace with your beloved Darlene. You were a credit to the Wall and it will not be the same without you. I think I can speak for everyone who has posted in this thread when I say that there will always be a void at TBD and TSW. I only wish that I had known you personally. God Bless and may you finally Rest In Peace.
  11. That name did stick out, didn't it...I wonder if that was Joe Six Pack's prison nickname?
  12. He's had some interest but he's unwilling to come off of his asking price, which is said to be around $3-4 million per year. Nobody is going to pay that to a backup. Until he comes to his senses, he'll remain unsigned.
  13. You're wrong and tgreg99 is absolutely right. A loss in the Cincy game and the Bills definitely would have picked 3rd overall. The Jest took Ferguson 4th overall. You do the math...
  14. There will be less whining and crying on the board this year. Oh, wait....you said bold, NOT unrealistic. Never mind...
  15. The dumb lightbulb says "The Bills made a curious move in picking up Kliff Kingsbury..." then follows up with "the Bills needed a fourth arm for training camp." So what's so curious, douchebag??! Another fine "scoop" by the ESPN juggernaut.
  16. You sir or madam, are a dumb!@#$!
  17. Nice rebuttal, part deux.
  18. Agree. McGee...with Spikes 1A.
  19. What a fugging joke. This guy's arguments are weak. No team has gone winless since the inception of the 16 game schedule and the Bills won't be the first to do it this year. In fact, I'd say it's more likely that a team will go 16-0 before one goes 0-16. The talent level around the league is just too close for a team to lose all of its games. There are only a handful of true "haves" and the rest of the "have nots" are separated by the slimmest of margins making a winless year implausible. Nice rebuttal.
  20. I voted other. In my book, his biggest failure was not getting this team to the playoffs. Hiring GW instead of hiring John Fox or attracting Marvin Lewis is hindsight. Easy to say now. GW's credentials were just as good as the other two who were also unproven commodities at the head coaching level.
  21. I've been saying that about this guy for quite some time now. Analysis is one thing but he goes out of his way to slam the Bills about everything. He seems to be overly pissed off that the Bills did not draft for "value". What does he care? He's a fugging Giants fan. When was he ever a scout or GM of an NFL club?? His "value" is about as meaningful as Kiper's and the other self-proclaimed "draft experts" who have never worked in the NFL. Nobody will truly know how the Bills or any other team did for three or four years, at least. Whether or not you agree with how the Bills drafted, saying that they had a horrible draft before there is any empirical evidence of such is asinine. Seems to me that many of these same experts were crucifying the Colts for taking Peyton Manning over Ryan Leaf and we all know how that turned out. Schein's a blowhard with a horrible voice for radio. I don't much care for his takes on non-Bills related issues either. In a word, he's an ass. FWIW...another Sirius NFL Radio guy, Pat Kirwin, said that he liked the job that Marv and the Bills did. He's a former defensive assistant coach, assistant pro personnel director and director of player administration. He also managed a salary cap, negotiated player contracts and trades, and evaluated pro and college personnel. Again, time will tell how the Bills did. BTW...I hope Schein enjoys Rob Johnson as Eli Manning's backup!
  22. I read that. So the Bills throw him a contract that is fatter than he is and does he even try to live up to it??! No! And all of a sudden he's "motivated"??? What a complete POS. After four years of stealing a franchise blind you have an epiphany?????!!!!! The fans lay down their hard-earned cash to watch these athletes and should at least get an honest effort for their money. Most former Bills I wish well and a "thanks for the memories", but I hope this lazy waste of oxygen fails miserably in his second go around and ends up behind the counter of a Krispy Kreme where he belongs.
  23. Yippee! Yet another ESPN talking douchebag weighs in with his astute "analysis". Right, wrong, or indifferent I couldn't care less what the egomaniacal twits at that network say. I'll form my own opinions. This is funny...and I happen to agree with you.
  24. Yeah, and you're the most unbiased, objective voice of reason on this subject. You, Holcombs Arm.
  25. Great assessment, C...agree 100%. I'm so fugging sick of the national media fellating the 'felons at every turn that I could puke. BTW, anyone ever hear Adam Schein on 'Sirius NFL Radio' whenever a Bills fan calls? The next time this arrogant fug says anything positive about the Bills it will be the first.
