  1. I don't buy it. The Bills still could've drafted Russell Wilson, had they really wanted him. They missed the boat, plain and simple. As little as Graham has done, I'll still take him eight ways to Sunday over MeachBUM.
  2. Exactly. Yesterday afternoon, on Sirius NFL Radio, a Bills fan called in asking about the Levitre situation. The host (I believe it was Pat Kirwin) said that there is time for the Bills & Levitre to get something done and that he believes the Bills will retain him. It's all speculation at this point. Nobody really knows despite what he or she may think...
  3. Funny, I had the opposite takeaway. IMO, KC saved the Bills from themselves, just as SD did last year with Robert 'Total Bum' Meachem.
  4. Agreed. To me, the bigger issue is will she be able to assist in any way after the kick? Can she tackle on occasion if needed? I can't imagine any team would be willing to go 10 on 11 on their kickoffs.
  5. Unexpected? Andy Levitre...
  6. This illustration of John 'The Lightbulb' Clayton might explain it...
  7. "YEAH, SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURE YOU LOVE ME, JOHN! WHATEVER!! EVERYONE KNOWS MOM LOVES MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE BEST!!! UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP YOURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS!!!!"
  8. They can ask all they want but no way anyone surrenders a 1 for him. More likely, they ask for a 2 and settle for a 3 with a possible late rounder thrown in depending on the number of suitors for him.
  9. Welcome to the board. Great avatar.
  10. Breaking News! Stevie Johnson announces new training regimen after appearance on Rome:
  11. The point was that the original spirit of the thread has completely changed. As someone else pointed out, that's the internet. So be it. Personally, I don't find anything that you've posted in this thread to be overly intelligent, but you are entitled to your opinion, as am I. Carry on.
  12. This thread was started by the OP as an FYI that those over the hill morons in DC were finally, thankfully hanging up their dresses. It has officially, sadly devolved into a PPP thread.
  13. 'Edge NFL Matchup', perhaps? Prior to that it was 'Monday Night Matchup' with Chris Berman, Steve Sabol, & Allie Sherman. 'MNM' was a good show, IMHO.
  14. There's no way he's going anywhere, especially after today's performance. Baltimore will franchise him if it comes to that. Who would they get to replace him if he was allowed to walk?? Anyone who thinks that Flacco will actually be available is just kidding himself.
  15. I've told several of my friends who are Washington fans that the team should just drop their logo and slap a redskin potato on the side of their helmets. End of problem. Or would that be offensive to spuds?
  16. I'm usually on the computer dealing with fantasy football stuff during the regular season and really have no desire to watch any of the pregame shows, anyway. In the "old days" before so much info was available online and via all of the other technology of today, I liked watching them. That may also have had something to do with the fact that the Bills were a good, competitive football team. I didn't watch today, either. Instead, I watched my alma mater beat St. Bonaventure in college hoops.
  17. And when 'Punch' originally posted it, it came with a 'FWIW'. Believe it, don't believe it, I really don't care. Just sharing something positive that an outsider said about the Bills. People here are always bitching and moaning about the media and so called experts either ignoring the Bills or crapping all over them that I thought some might actually enjoy seeing it again, right wrong or indifferent. Jesus H, the negativity and complete cynicism by some here even in what should be a fun and exciting time is ridiculously tiresome.
  18. He's NFL Network's version of a Schefter or a Clayton, I suppose. I've seen him on TV a lot recently. It's not his opinion, it's what other front office personnel around the league have told him. He's not a local guy and has no vested interest in the Bills so I don't know what his motive would be in lying. http://www.nfl.com/news/author?id=09000d5d8280f9d4 "Ian Rapoport has covered the NFL since 2009, previously serving as Patriots beat reporter for the Boston Herald for three seasons. Now a Dallas-based reporter, he has also covered the Alabama Crimson Tide for the Birmingham News and Mississippi State for the Jackson Clarion-Ledger. In addition to writing for NFL.com, Rapoport is a reporter on NFL Network's Total Access and other shows."
  19. Exactly, Bob. The Marrone hiring may or may not turn out to be great but what I like about it - success or failure - is that there appears to have been a definitive culture shift at One Bills Drive with Ralph stepping aside. Fresh, young, innovative. In a word, it's "today". As in, today's NFL. Let's hope this translates to a new era and culture of winning Bills football.
  20. +1 I think the paragraph below lends credence to this, as well (originally posted by 'Punch' in the Chip Kelly thread): "FWIW, NFL Network's Ian Rappaport hears the following from around the league regarding the Bills: The Bills' QB situation is certainly a question mark. The other thing is, I hear nothing but good things around the league when it comes to eventual GM Doug Whaley and CEO Russ Brandon. It's rare you hear such positive reviews about, well, anything, but these two are respected. Brandon for his ability to be an administrator, Whaley for his personnel prowess. People love old Steelers alums, and Whaley would like to build in the model of what we see in Pittsburgh. The phrase I heard most often with regard to Buffalo's situation? "They are in good hands." Something you don't often hear."
