  1. Ralph calling to say that he's authorizing the money for the rest of their draft picks? Seriously, though...my first thought was maybe Dansby had agreed to a deal. Or maybe they're just psyched for tonight...
  2. Nice posts. Personally, I like the pick and love what the Bills did in the 1st Round...would've loved maybe another trade down in that round but there is no way of knowing if there was a willing trade partner or if somebody else would've tried to trade in ahead of the Bills to get Manuel. I get that people may not like taking Manuel and that's fine. He may or may not work out. Nobody knows at this point. But for the life of me, what I don't get, is how some of these so called "experts" can possibly list the Bills as one of the 1st Round "losers". How can a team that most said needed to draft a QB early and had only 6 picks, pick a QB - the first QB off the board, mind you, meaning that they got THEIR best graded guy - after trading down and acquiring an extra 2nd Round pick AND an extra 7th Round pick be one of the "losers"??! They took the first QB and ended up with more picks entering today than they had entering yesterday. There is no way that makes them a "loser" just because those analysts disagree with their choice of QB. A perfect example of a complete waste of oxygen is "Me"shawn Johnson. He was on 'NFL Live' today and listed the Bills as his 1st Round "loser" because, as he put it, "Doug Marrone had Nassib there and passed on him for Manuel." Um...WTF?? Shouldn't that tell him something if Marrone was down with taking Manuel? And, of course, his 1st Round "winner"...you guessed it...the NJ Jest. lol Sheldon Richardson? Really? That's who you got in exchange for Darrelle Revis?? They drafted a cheaper but unproven alternative for Revis in Milliner at 9 and then with the Revis pick at 13 took Richardson. Brilliant. The only thing dumber than stuff like this is the "experts" who assign grades. Round 1 grades...lol. Again, 'F' or 'F-'? Bitter much, Prisco? Whether an 'A' or an 'F' it's pure speculation and complete ass-hattery.
  3. That was my first thought as I furiously tried to access the board again last night: "Who the f*@% 'Rosened' the board?! Had to be that damn Jay!!" I KNEW IT! I knew you were behind this!! Scott - Thanks for all you do. Jay - Stay off this board tonight! Sincerely, 'The Masses' (j/k) LET'S GO BILLS!!!
  4. Are you sure he's studying and not praying that his guy is still there at 16?
  5. Going to 23 with Minny would be awesome.
  6. Yeah, but he's not in our division so we wouldn't benefit.
  7. At least they didn't take Lane Johnson...I was worried about that. I'm glad they gave up their 2 for Jordan. He could be Maybin 2.0.
  8. WTF? Only giving up the 42 to move all the way to 3?? Oakland will always suck.
  9. A) They're not trading him. B) I don't believe he can be traded until he's signed his tender and that hasn't happened yet.
  10. Larry was truly an icon, one of the best. I loved reading his columns growing up and feel fortunate not only for that but also that I got to later listen to his opinions and insight on the radio and then to see him on Empire Sports Network. A very sad day for all who knew him personally or via his work. We lost a great one. You will be missed, Mr. Felser. Rest In Peace.
  11. Per SNY, 6 years, $96 million. They'd better hope that knee holds up...
  12. Whaaa? You don't want to show him your beer balls?
  13. "DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLE PILLS?!!" http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/09/29/science_is_brilliant/
  14. Astro...how does the Revis trade affect Draftek's analysis of the 1st Round and this Bills/49ers scenario now?
  15. Maybe. But this front office, Buddy in particular, seems to be skittish when it comes to trading back and losing out on "their guy". Nix is staid in his thinking and this trade may help cement that mentality, IMO. A riverboat gambler he's not.
  16. The bolded is essentially what I said earlier. I like your follow-on points, as well. Another I'd add is that while it's nice that he's out of the division, I'm not as jazzed about it as some others. Not only is he coming off of a major knee injury, he's a malcontent. He was guaranteed to cause drama in the Jest camp at some point and, more than likely, would've been holding out again in the not-too-distant future even if given a new contract. I believe the Jest will be better off without him...maybe not immediately but in the long run.
  17. Hmmmmmm..."The New York Jets...making even the Buffalo Bills look smart."
  18. First link I've seen... http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/9195939/new-york-jets-trade-darrelle-revis-tampa-bay-buccaneers-pending-physical-source
  19. Two picks in the top 13. They can afford to grab the top QB on their board, if they so desire, or even slide back a little. With Sanchez' contract, they may not be looking QB in the 1st Round but earlier reports of them trying to package him in a Revis deal makes me wonder, that's all. I don't think they would even consider QB at 9 but they might be willing to pull the trigger at 13. I just think it makes it much riskier for the Bills to try sliding into the middle of the 1st to grab "their guy", whoever that might be. JMO.
  20. I agree. If the Bills were "thinking" QB at #8, this may definitively cause them to pull the trigger now, IMHO.
  21. Scrolling repeatedly on SNY a few minutes before 1:00 PM today: "According to multiple reports, the Jets have traded CB Darrelle Revis to the Buccaneers pending a physical." Still haven't seen it confirmed anywhere else...yet.
  22. Anyone picked by the Bills in the 1st Round...
  23. Nassib, Barkley...Barkley, Nassib. Flipping a coin...the coin says Nassib.
