The Rise and Fall (?) of Vic Carucci
ExWNYer replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always enjoyed his work and he's a Buffalo guy. It's a shame that the Bills didn't step up to the plate and get him in a similar role. Vic being with Cleveland just seems wrong. It's like your wife leaving you for your brother...which is only acceptable if you can't stand your wife...or your brother. -
Whoa, whoa whoa. It's Chaste Rosegarden. C'mon guys...I expected much better from veteran posters such as yourselves. Sheesh.

Now you've done it, flappy. The "cut Brad Smith" crowd will be at OBD with blood in their eyes, wielding torches and pitchforks.

The Bills should have never traded #4 Kolb

Ha! I knew I could count on you to clarify. Thanks, Bob. That made my head hurt! -
How many times do you check the board a day
ExWNYer replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not as often as I could and more often than I should. Interesting. I think I tend to post more in the off-season and "check"/read/lurk more during the season for some reason. Some of that may have to do with the fact that I'm involved in several fantasy football leagues and my younger son plays football so I'm at his practices M-F in August, then a couple times a week once the season starts plus games on Saturdays. Also, I need time to "decompress" after a Bills loss. Often times there's just too much vitriol on the board after a loss and it does nothing to help my mood. Although their thirteen years of futility has left me numb and emotionless following a loss, I just don't feel like talking Bills for a while. I just want to forget about them, if only for a while. I get that being here can be therapeutic for some and that's cool, too. -

Ahhhhh. Although factually incorrect, I appreciate your attempt to clarify the OP's thought process, oh complement-to-peanut butterHead. Perhaps he does believe that Kolb was a 4th Round draft pick. Or maybe he thought the Bills traded Kolb's #4 jersey? Or maybe he thought they actually just traded Kolb himself on the eve of training camp and shouldn't have? The world may never know... -

If there's any justice, the other would be the Cowboys. Hey, Jerruh...if it's so damn important to you, move your own friggin' team and stop treating the rest of the smaller market teams like they're your personal beotches, existing only to maximize YOUR profit.

Are the Bills/Stevie gonna regret this photo posted on FB?

Says the guy using the socially unacceptable "retard" and sporting a 'Sucky Charms' avatar. Brilliant. -
But there is one Johnson on this team. Cue the Stevie haters in five...four...three...two...

Way to paint everyone with a broad brush. What a stupid comment. I'm a white male who's lived in the suburbs his whole life and will be 50 later this year. I have absolutely no problem with Stevie Johnson. In fact, he's one of my favorite players currently on the team. Has he made some choices that can be viewed as immature? Sure. But I don't view anything that he's ever done as overly egregious either. He has the right to express himself like anyone else, famous or not...from his clothing to his choice in music to his choice to "ink" himself. Live and let live, I say. This isn't hurting the team and anyone who thinks that it is is making a mountain out of a mole hill. It's a complete non-issue, IMO. He loves Buffalo, has never thrown a team mate under the bus, and re-signed when he easily could have walked. He hasn't killed, raped, or robbed anyone to my knowledge. This is much ado about nothing...another space-filling, off season TBD thread to pass the time until training camp starts. Gawwwwwwd, Sunday cannot get here fast enough... This. People love singling him out but there are plenty of culprits who have scuttled this team over the last 13 years including Fred "Fumbles" Jackson and C.J. Spiller, both of whom have coughed it up at the goal line in crucial situations. That's football, it happens. Ask Cowboy fans about Jackie Smith or Raven fans about Lee Evans. Two instances where the stakes were way higher than any drop Stevie ever had. Like most Bills fans, I was pissed about the drop against the Steelers at the time but, in the grand scheme of things, a catch would've done nothing but given the Bills a worse draft position. I was pissed like I am anytime any Bills player makes a mistake in a game and there have been plenty to go around. Like him or not, Stevie Johnson is not what's wrong with this team, plain and simple. -
Are we in some kind of Bills news blackout?
ExWNYer replied to Ennjay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like you, I'm a diehard Sabres fan. The Sabres have always been immensely popular in WNY but it's still a football town first and foremost. The reason for the disproportionate number of people wearing Sabres gear versus Bills gear, IMO, is due mainly to the fact that the Sabres have actually been good at various times during the last 13 years whereas the Bills have not. The Sabres have been a chic choice for a lot of casual Buffalo sports fans. The Bills, on the other hand, have done everything in their power to erode an entire generation of potential fans. -
And without a link, I can't verify that you actually coached on Tuesday either.

Last time I checked, the Canadian and Arena football leagues were still hiring...

'Idiot Kicker' was actually the working title of the movie but, after Peyton Manning backed out, Hoffman insisted that they change the title to 'Footsie'. Thanks for the thread, OP...can't wait for football season. GO BILLS!!! -

Ha! Agreed. Although I'm guilty of typing it, I didn't really believe it. My apologies, buddy. Damn my need for the cheap laugh! GO BILLS!!!

That makes sense and would look much better. Thanks, Fluff.

Two words: Hell. No. I had heard a couple of days ago (can't remember where) that the "toilet seat" was going away and that the white collar would either be gone entirely or completely encompass the neck. Either would be fine by me, as long as the "ts" atrocity is gone.

Yes. But I believe that Clady is the only one of the eight to sign anything other than their one year tender, no? -
Great job, Bob, but the list is incomplete. You forgot: September 9th: Bills playoff hopes "officially" end.

Meathead guest hosting on SiriusXM NFL Radio today...
ExWNYer replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see much mocking going on in this thread. Some information given about what was said on Sirius NFL Radio, a few jokes, maybe a shot or two taken at a former coach. Pretty standard for this board. Nothing egregious said towards Mularkey, IMHO. While I don't believe he deserves to be mocked, he certainly doesn't deserve to be praised and there is definitely no need to defend him. He chose to leave Buffalo and he's had ample opportunity to prove himself since doing so. What he's done in that time is prove that he's incredibly mediocre.
