Yep, pivotal. As in the game turned on that call. And that's the one that particularly leaves me scratching my head. If an official makes/blows a call like that, is it better or worse if it's fixed? If it's intentional (rigged) or a bad call (incompetence), it matters not; the outcome is the same - the game is decided not by the players on the field, but by the officials. Not how it's supposed to be. Who cares if it's fixed? And I also feel that a blown call in the first quarter is more tolerable than one during crunch time. Just like I'm significantly less upset with Stevie making that fumble in the first quarter. I'm tired of the shoddy product.

No, unlike in MLB with its guaranteed contracts. My Mets released Jason Bay and he was signed by the Mariners, so he's earning a really nice double dip paycheck this season. In fact he and Bobby Bonilla are the Mets highest paid outfielders this season!

C.J. really needs to do a much better job of pass blocking/blitz pick-up to be considered an every down back. Maybe Thurman can teach him.
