  1. Out of curiosity, why not ask my mother and sister, too? You know, the ringless loser like my grandmother, wife and daughter. Who cares what he has to say, anyway.
  2. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Don't stop him now, he's on a roll.
  3. I've often wondered whether troll was a reference to the fishing tactic or the mythical fantasy creature... What's the price to cross your bridge?
  4. Just goofing... I was playing with your choice of the word "shortcomings," but doing so on and iPad limits my ability to bold words or use emoticons to tip off my intent. Epic fail... sorry.
  5. I've seen the season stats for the Titans D trotted out on this board in this argument a number of times. They also posted 54 sacks that year, and 40 turnovers, and IIRC the end of that season and during the playoffs, minus the Steelers game, the Titans were abusing QBs. I don't remember the defensive battle being that much of a surprise at the time, especially given the weather conditions. Only years later do people point to the weakness of the Titans D to make this point. Nice. Justify the cancer reference... but just keep HAMMERING AWAY at the height thing.
  6. You mean like the bust that the Bills drafted #8 overall in April 2013, what a POS he'll turn out to be.
  7. Interestingly, if your point is, as a trend, the three QBs you mention are running QBs drafted over a short period of time that have had success, the three that you are disputing were also drafted in a year (defined as 365 days, much as you had to do to include Kaepernick in your argument), started immediately, took their teams to the playoffs, and depending on the outcome of next Sunday's game, have the opportunity to completely invalidate what I believe is the only valid point you've tried to make so far. Or, you realize this, have intentionally misstated the facts, and I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me (Truly, you have a dizzying intellect).
  8. Or maybe "Don't get too close, I think I **** my pants."
  9. ESPN did a great 30 for 30 on him. Seems like, for someone of his athletic ability, a pretty down to earth guy. Love the run up the wall... As Steve O pointed out, his football career ending hip injury occurred the week prior to the AFC Championship game in the win over the Bengals...
  10. Actually, it was baseball. He was already playing with KC Royals before he started his football "hobby" during the baseball offseason. His contract with the Raida's kicked in after the baseball season ended. I don't think he missed a game to injury those 3 years prior to the dislocated hip.
  11. If the part about Big Ben is true, I'm betting it was not consensual.
  12. Almost. Fitz is inaccurate because in trying to get weight behind his passes it alters the support that his neck is providing to stabilize his head, resulting in an exaggerated centripetal acceleration that David Lee was unable to correct for in Fitz's throwing motion. Damn behemoth noggin!
  13. Ryan Fitzpatrick with a little more accuracy (assuming fewer game-killing picks) likely has us in the playoffs this season.
  14. And I thought Tim Krumrie was odd... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000123802/article/doug-marrone-can-solve-buffalo-bills-ryan-fitzpatrick-problem here's the link
  15. Can't blame them for stepping up to the plate and taking a cut. I have several friends that are Cleveland fans... probably one of the few fanbases that can truly relate to our own. Couple this with the Raven's win, and I'm sure they're a bit nauseous today.
  16. Interesting. According to that, suddenly Whisenhunt becomes high on their list... can you imagine the meltdown here if we went from "The Bills have a deal in place with Chip Kelly" to "After being spurned, the Bills have hired the Whis."
  17. Uh-huh... so you're saying the 3 Stooges are for those with a more refined sense of humor?
  18. All of this talk of "doodmats" and staffs is very confusing and making me feel uneasy... I think I need sensitivity training.
  19. Given the amount of time that the Browns and Eagles were reportedly devoting to Kelly without an actual deal in place, I wonder if Brandon et al didn't see through what may in actuality be a large Kelly ego trip and strike quickly before Marrone was back in play for the other two teams.
  20. So much so that you forgot to sign your post! And from the looks of it, several subsequent ones! I don't know what to think of the promotion of Russ Brandon, the hiring of Doug Marrone, or the fiscal cliff, but I expect there to be some normalcy in the world when I wake up on a Sunday morning. PTR, I don't know how to handle all of this change! PLEASE... (wheeping)... FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY... (sobbing)... SIGN YOUR POSTS!!!... (outright wailing)
  21. This is an important point. Put another way, Tim Graham is Tim Graham. You know him in a restaurant, on the street, wherever. He, JW, others who eschew anonymity do so in the name of adding an element of validity to what they post. Unfortunately, and likely knowingly, in doing so they invite those of us who will to paint a target on them and lob grenades from our safe little internet bunkers. Having to deal on a daily basis with those of us who are willing to anonymously spray paint someone's lawn to prove a meaningless point has got to be a bit tedious, even if it is only a small percentage of the fanbase. Unfortunately, I think a larger percentage is ok with a lack of civility and assume that there is nothing personal about using a pseudonym to attack a psuedonym, despite the fact that not everyone on the receiving end is using one.
  22. Ego? Turn this situation around where so many others failed and no one can dispute your accomplishments; fail and you can always point to the organizational shortcomings as you head back to school.
