  1. While I understand the cynicism with respect to Randle El's intentions, given that Darryl's situation was driven by fan response to a Tim Graham article and ChevyVanMiller starting a GoFundMe account without Talley's knowledge, I think calling it a "help me" fundraiser is a bit derisive.
  2. With regard to stage, not necessarily. Staging in general depends on size of the tumor, lymph node involvement, and local, regional, or distant spread. It can be stage IV at diagnosis.
  3. Might as well complete the theme, considering since Gggreggg it's been a raging tire fire, for the most part.
  4. Thought that was Wanstache?
  5. Any reference to "the next level," especially if there is no further discussion about what exactly defines that level.
  6. "The more his team acted like idiots, the more we wanted to play." Lindy Ruff - wrt the Hitchcock led Flyers during 2006 SC playoffs "Tell Lindy to f*** off." Ken Hitchcock - to the press in response
  7. Says here that the HGH was actually shipped to a "Marcia Manning", with the zip code of the billing address in Boston, MA. Methinks the Patriots** are up to something.
  8. Reaching into the past, Bills can't get Pettine or Schwartz to be DC, so they do the next best thing and bring in Marrone as a quality control coach (after he opts out of Jax contract obviously convinced that he obviously will obviously be the football czar for the Cleveland Browns).
  9. Wasn't Denver effectively trying to answer this very question this past offseason when they, at Kubiak's urging, reportedly tried to sign Taylor to a better offer than what he ultimately got with the Bills?
  10. Jim Kelley used to write opinion pieces. I didn't always agree with them, but I always read them because he was a good writer who could think clearly. Bucky's a hack, and this piece is full of contradictions and half thought out "truths."
  11. Are we talking about the same genius that once called out Trent Edwards when he was the Raidas DC, as though he needed to get in Trentative's head to beat him? The one who looks like a crazed Bad Santa? The one that the only thing that is a relative qualification for a DC is his last name? That Rob Ryan? I'd prefer Rod Ryan... he's at least entertaining and is a Buffalo guy.
  12. Hopefully someone gave them shin guards as gifts first cuz those cans hurt when someone one-hops them at you.
  13. Does he think that studying film on the big screen instead of an iPad might help the right side of the line learn to pass block?

  15. I don't know, based on the way his voice sounded when I saw Elvis Costello open for him in ?2009?, I think he drank the rest of the gas that was left in the tank. For all those suggesting the Foos, saw them at Wrigley in August. Even with Grohl's broken foot it was epic. 3 opening acts. Nearly 6 hour show. You forget how many great songs they have until they play 3 solid hours of them. Would be a great half-time show that would cater to the masses, IMO.
  16. Based on the all too frequent stench on the field, I think their coaches need to review the vagina etiquette portion of the Jills' handbook with them again.
  17. You can have him back. Seems no one else wants him. He'll only break your heart again with all his boozin' and spinelessness, though. Wouldn't you prefer a real man? I'm sorry, but I just can't approve of you continuing to find yourself in these dead end relationships.
  18. Would love to see a 2 back set with Shady motioning wide. Must have posted just as I decided to. Beat me to it.
  19. Wrong Carr. David was a first overall pick, and was hardly the answer at QB for Houston.
  20. I didn't watch the Cowboys Giants game live, but didn't Cassel throw 3 picks over the span of 5 pass attempts?
  21. WRT #4, I don't know that Shady tries to keep that play alive and takes that hit trying desperately to get into the EZ if he has any faith in the team's ability to punch it in from the 4 yd line. Looked to me like a player trying to do it all himself, and with good reason.
  22. I was there a few years ago. It was liberating to not feel the need to watch every Sunday, though I did if I had nothing better to do. The sale of the franchise, the organizational restructuring, the recent spending on players, and the Ryan induced hype of the season have drawn me back in. I had a similar mini-epiphany after the game today that I was happier when I was more dispassionate about the team. Interesting time for a bye...
  23. Corey Graham played, too. Intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown. Suppose you missed that, too. Hard to take someone who says "for those who don't follow closely" seriously under the circumstances when they fact check so poorly.
  24. This is a place for serious discussion of a topic of the utmost importance. There is no room for such sophomoric tomfoolery... Ok, I laughed a little too.
