I actually kinda liked them. It is nice to see something a little creative and 3 dimensional rather than the same old flat helmets you generally see. Of course my taste in fashion has always been suspect.

I don't see either team winning by ten barring a horrific outing by one of the QBs. Vegas disagrees with you as well. They have the rotten fish by 3 and a over/under of 38.5. You have the Bills almost beating the O/U by themselves I don't have a score prediction, but I do see us losing by a small amount. Probably by less than 7.

Gadgets? I have not seen anything but vanilla plays so far, and I have watched all 4 games. Either the Times has access to the actual playbook (yeah right) or the author didn't watch any of the games so far and needed to say something negative about the only true New York State team left to appease their NYC rat readers.

I thought they might cut Fitz because of the disparity of his salary versus the rest of the QBs including Edwards, not due to "Fitz Hate". I felt, and still feel, he is overpaid considering he is a career backup. The Bills kept him so I was incorrect in my guess, but I still think they should have cut him. But it is a Gailey/Nix decision, not mine. Maybe they think he has some trade value, and if that is true then they were absolutely correct in keeping him.

Someone please remove all sharp objects and poisons from his residence by mid October. Thank you.

To me it isn't that Tasker is so bad, it's just that he is such a !@#$ing homer it embarrasses me. Bentley usually isn't bad at all that way, except for last night after they spoke at length to a buffalobills.com writer (his name escapes me) and it was a homer-fest the likes of which I have never seen before. According to this guy, the Bills are almost a lock to win the AFC East. I made it through his segment but Bently stayed in homer mode after that and I eventually caved and went for the mute. Thank God the preseason is over.

Tasker !@#$ing SUCKS as an announcer. As homer as they come. Bently is actually pretty good IMO.

I agree with bowery. I spent a lot of time in Europe when they tried the "NFL Europa" experiment. It was a colossal failure. Even in cities that had teams most of the people had never been to a game or even had any interest in going to one. In my opinion it is just too inactive to catch on. Basketball and ice hockey are more or less continuous activity like soccer, but American football is about 15 seconds of activity out of every minute (at best). It is too different from what the rest of the world is used to. Try as they might to expand their market the NFL is pissing into the wind in my opinion.

Except that soccer is already the worlds most popular sport.

The possibility of American Football catching on anywhere outside of North America is minuscule, including China. That is actually a interesting strategy too. With the economy being what it is, and the Bills being what they have been for the past decade, really good season tickets can be had in Buffalo right now. If Nix/Gailey really can turn things around in a few years you are going to be sitting pretty to go along for the ride!

In general I agree with you. However in this case, if Gailey/Nix can manage 8-8 with the very few meaningful personnel changes they have made and the seemingly harder schedule they have this year I would consider that a great success and would think we are definitely on the right track for the future.

The only plan for this game is to play people on the bubble as much as you can so you can decide who to cut.
