  1. Some people in Buffalo would hate him if he leaves if he said anything or not. And the reason he said anything at all was because he was asked. He may well prefer to stay in Buffalo. But at the end of the day it is a business decision and he will play for whatever team makes the most sense. Most people, even most Bills fans, realize that.
  2. Saturday works for me as well. But I doubt it will happen on a regular basis due to the simple fact that the host city wants Saturday night for their businesses, restaurants, etc. to get one last big payday.
  3. Not sure what all the angst is about. He agent will shop him around and gauge the interest then they will evaluate all offers including the Bills and make a decision. The Bills not making the early "offer you can't refuse" like they did with Mario could bite them if another team does pull a Mario while Levitre is visiting. But it is what it is.
  4. Exactly. He would have to be a moron to burn any bridges. Plus any other teams that might be considering him might think of him as a locker room problem if he made a negative statement. Basically nothing to lose and everything to gain by keeping it classy like he did.
  5. I thought that was standard issue anywhere in Cali.
  6. Nix may have to make him a better than competitive offer if some good teams express interest. If you were him, and a team like SF for example that has a good chance to go deep in the playoffs next year makes you the same offer as Buffalo does, which are you taking?
  7. Isn't it a little weird to be airing that while he is still alive?
  8. That's because TV is a numbers (ratings) game. If they play to a more sophisticated (for lack of a better word) audience, the neophytes will tune out. But if they dumb it down, then everyone can watch.
  9. I'm usually pretty tolerant of the "change in mindset" and "culture change" posts. But maybe it's the weather today putting me in a bad mood or something but ... When you have sucked the sweat off a dead mans balls for 13 straight seasons, and most of the teams existence, the time for a "culture" or a "mindset" change has long past. The Bills have had plenty, in fact probably too many, of both of those things in past 13 years. You know what the Bills need? They need players who can !@#$ing play, coaches that can !@#$ing coach, a head coach that can !@#$ing manage the clock and not make stupid !@#$ing decisions during a season full of games, and a GM that can tell the difference between a !@#$ing career backup QB and a starting or franchise QB. That's what the Bills need. No more and certainly no less. Save all of the feel good mindset and culture crap for peewee sports along with the rest of the "everyone is a winner" nonsense. /rant
  10. That entire list is like saying which turd in the toilet bowl smells the least. I don't watch much except the Bills anymore, but for those games I generally have the volume off and music on by halftime.
  11. This plus he is injury prone. Vick wouldn't last a month as the Bills starter.
  12. How about this. No halftime show at all. Instead show no commercials during the game and play them all at halftime. Everyone wins.
  13. Generally these people don't complain (much) about legal imports. But organizations like the NFL don't like it to be shown that the markup on things like jerseys are 1400% because it makes them look kinda greedy.
  14. Yeah those Chinese terrorists are the reason. Reebok/NFL selling $10 jerseys for $150, who is the thief again?
  15. Yeah but besides that what have you got?
  16. Like it or not, the SB is an event first. A showcase for the NFL with considerations far wider than a game. What in the world could motivate the NFL to have such an event in a hole like Buffalo particularly in February? Where would everyone stay if they did? Would they shuttle people in from Toronto? As bad as the game could potentially be in NJ next year due to weather, even in good weather the entire spectacle would be a disaster in a city like Buffalo. Hmmm. I suppose they could have everyone stay in Toronto and do everything there. Then just play the game at the Ralph.
  17. By definition you cannot have a blizzard and an amazing game. But I also want it to be a blizzard like the Bills/Browns Monday night game a few years ago. Make it a complete and epic embarrassment for the NFL.
  18. They gave it to NYC because they built a new stadium and that's what they do.
  19. Really not hard to believe that people would leave. A large number are only there for the event and could give a crap about the game. I could see them leaving as soon as the halftime show was over..
  20. Now that's a thought. Could do it at MSG and charge for admission as well. Nothing the NFL likes more than some additional cha-ching!
  21. To be fair, it was a blatant hold and it cost SF the game. I think even Jauron might have shown emotion under those circumstances.
  22. Both teams having QBs that can throw like that is no coincidence. It's what is needed to compete in todays NFL. Add in a running threat like you get with Kap and you really have something. I expect SF to be strong for a long time to come. It took SF what, 2 years to turn around. Funny what the right QB and head coach can do for a franchise isn't it. And the Bills are still at 13 years and counting. But the Bills have a new HC and presumably will have a new QB as well so who knows.
  23. I think having it outdoors anywhere is a bad idea. And outdoors in the Northeast in Feb makes me question the mental capacity of the NFL leadership. The SB is the one game that the NFL should want the best team to win. And more important to their wish to market the game outside the US, the best quality game possible. Having both teams running around slipping and sliding in a whiteout like that awful Bills/Browns Monday night game a few years ago would be a disgrace, And that is exactly what they are risking, not just to a US audience, but to a worldwide one. I for one hope for the worst weather conditions possible so they never consider making that mistake again. However I must admit that the possibility of the halftime pop star de jour slip and fall on his/her ass during the live performance (and having the music continue on as if nothing happened) might be worth it.
  24. She actually has a beautiful voice but you would never know it from her live performances, particularly yesterday. Terrible, terrible performance.
