  1. To be honest, the Jets were far more responsible for the Bills last score than the Bills were. But throwing Manuel under the bus for one stinker game makes no sense either. Besides, he was not alone in the stinking department. Numerous coaches and players from both sidelines made that game the stink-fest that it was.
  2. And yet they still had 20 penalties for almost 200 yards. Most on defense. Set a team record and almost a NFL record. Your point?
  3. I have been in that same mind set all along. But man, almost every aspect of the team seemed to regress yesterday.
  4. Well, thigh is better than knee.
  5. I assume you missed the part where he wasted all his challenges and could not challenge the Manuel fumble that was ruled not a fumble? That was potentially a game losing mistake. SJ13 made yet another stupid mistake. It's just that the Jet was able to surpass his stupidity. And for what it's worth, the last call on the Jet was no penalty. It was SJ13 diving.
  6. I thought it would be a close game. And I was wrong. Almost 200 yards in penalties, the zebras letting Manuel get away with a fumble recovered by the Jets late in the game. Manuel and Spiller both horrible. To say the Bills offense sucked doesn't begin to do it justice. The Jets should have won that game by 50 points. I'm still waiting to see the game to game improvement. I sure hope it starts soon.
  7. Bull ****. Negotiations failed and the Bills tagged him because they could. If Byrd is feigning injury or at least milking it, it is the card he could play so he did. This situation no how no way validates either side. Of course he is! This is his future and livlihood at stake. It is a business. The Bils are looking out only for their interests and Byrd is looking out for his. Why is that hard to understand? Man, homers make me crazy sometimes.
  8. CBS picks about half for each team, with and without the spread. They think it is going to be a close game again and so do I.
  9. That's exactly how I see it as well. And I'll add a number (iii) Keeping a lid on stupid penalties.
  10. Saying it does not matter in the least. You, the Bills and/or the players union (who wouldn't do anything in a situation like this anyway) would have to prove it. Which as you pointed out, they can't. And I disagree with your statement about Byrd not playing by the rules of the CBA. I think he is, the CBA allows for this situation.
  11. Like I said elsewhere, a Bills Panthers game with its very limited audience wasn't going to get the A-Team from either Fox or CBS.
  12. There never is here when the call favors the Bills I agree that the call was valid, though SJ13 did do a bit of acting to sell it. I have also seen many instances of worse than that not being called.
  13. And it was obviously not their top tier talent either working the cameras, in the booth, or in front of the camera. It was Buffalo and Carolina after all. Not many areas even got the game.
  14. I wasn't bored because I am a Bills fan. But I can see where if you were not a Bills or Panthers fan it would have been boring (except the last 5 minutes). I would call it more of a mistake-fest than defensive battle myself, but there were good defensive moments as well.
  15. My daughter is playing basketball for her school team for the first time this year and is already pissing and moaning about having to "dress up" game days I'm neutral about the concept myself. I can't see where it would help anything, but don't see where it would hurt either. That's a very valid point.
  16. To me it was like watching the Bills play the Bills. Two young, strong, but not very accurate QBs. Both defensive backfields were crippled with injuries. Defensive lines and LBs about equal (except Mario who was a beast). And both teams making waaaay too many mistakes. In fact at halftime when they switched to the talking heads reporting on all the games, the first thing that was said about our game was "boring". Any win is a good win. And the last drive should go a long way building the teams (particularly Manuels) confidence. Now on to the Jests!
  17. Was it just me, or did I see SJ13's left foot twist and slip a little on the final catch. My heart stopped .
  18. I see the bipolar TBD is on the upswing now
  19. The club seats are not where the hardcore fans tend to go so you cannot make a statement about the 12th man where you were. They were sitting on their hands in the club seats because they didn't know what else to do, or their hands were cold. Watch a replay on TV where they show the people not in the club seats and see if you want to make that same statement.
  20. Why do people get so upset with articles like this? The facts are that the Bills have sucked for 13 years. They have been in a perpetual "3 and out" state with coaches/players/FO during most of that time, including a new regime starting this season. And they lost a very winnable game against a very weakened Pats* team in week one. What do you expect them to write? Unless they are paid by the Bills to write PR pieces for them, that's what I would expect. There is one and only one sure fire way to stop the negative press ... win.
  21. There are a lot of reasons listed in numerous other threads.
  22. I got the text earlier saying next 2 games (Carolina and Baltimore) were sold out. Awesome!
  23. Yes he did. You have the RV showers and bathrooms right there as well for men and women. Couldn't be more convenient.
