  1. Its actually pretty simple. All threads with "Hammer Lot" in the title, don't click them. You're welcome.
  2. Welcome! The current spread seems to be Buffalo +3.5 which implies that bettors need a little incentive to bet on the Bills, even though the game is in Buffalo. Majority of the ESPN talking heads seem to like the Bills. CBS ones are split pretty even with the spread, but like Carolina straight up.
  3. Also he plays for a big market team. Immediate advantage that is tough to overcome.
  4. The NFL does not care about people who cannot afford to go to the games. However, they fully expect tax money from those people. I may be having a Sr. moment, but I believe that at least in Rochester (since it is not the "principal" market maybe) they have rebroadcast non-sellout games a day or two later in years past. I don't know about Buffalo however.
  5. Pats*, though it kills me to say so. the Bills are not going to finish ahead of the Pats* this season. But the Bills have a shot at finishing ahead of the Jets. If the Bills win and Jets lose, they are both 1-1 and both with one conference loss. If the Jets win it makes them 2-0 with no conference losses which puts the Bills playing catch-up very early in the season.
  6. Yikes that's even fewer than the second half of a non-kids-day preseason game at the Ralph.
  7. In Rochester, and I assume Buffalo, the local CBS affiliate rebroadcasts blacked out games at least one time during the following week, and the time warner cable sports channel usually does as well, even more times.
  8. I don't think you will have to worry this weekend anyway. According to the Bills they are down to 2500 tickets left which I believe is in the area where the TV station will buy them out in order to televise the game. For future games we Rochestarians will need to find alternatives. I'm not about to shell out the money to pay for 5 tickets (or spend an afternoon there), and I won't watch online either due to poor quality. So if we get blacked out I generally either setup my dish and pull the game in directly or just wait for the rebroadcast.
  9. What in the NFL, owners or players, has ever been about "sufficient"? Greed is what the NFL is all about. Not just players and agents, but owners as well.
  10. A tagged player on a one year contract, I wouldn't play until I was 100% either.
  11. So your theory is that maybe there is a league wide conspiracy to give the advantage to the larger market teams? Why go to all that trouble? If the NFL does not want teams in small markets just move them. Its a lot easier than coordinating a very long term secret league wide conspiracy where one leak would blow the entire league out of the water (which is of course why there could not be such a conspiracy, they would never be able to keep it completely secret for so long).
  12. But these threads come after every loss, not just losses against the Pats*. Even after some wins.
  13. Looks like some weird ticketmaster link through facebook. Says its good for 6 more days. Try this: https://oss.ticketmaster.com/html/group_corp_start.htmI?l=EN&team=bills&owner=7886697&group=4220&err=&event=&customerID=
  14. It was $15 this morning. Apparently they lowered it to $10. Russ is cheap.
  15. It is simply amazing how the refs make bad calls only against the Bills every single game, and how they are more pronounced in losses. I think this should be thoroughly investigated including, but not limited to, a house and senate oversight committee. How long must Buffalo suffer!!!!!! Free the Bills!!!!!
  16. According to new Bills Facebook post ... Only 2,500 tickets remain for Sunday’s game against the Panthers. Buy now and get up to $10 off with promo code GPFB
  17. FYI: There is a facebook promo for $15 off for the Carolina game. Use the promo code GPFB
  18. I remember it being the Bills 49 but I could be wrong as well. Anyone still have it recorded? I deleted it last night.
  19. Agreed. But between the tackles???? Spiller has never shown that ability. I would expect Hackett/Marrone to know that. And even if they didn't, it should have been apparent at halftime and triggered a change. That's what I found baffling. It wasn't working yet they kept going to it over and over.
  20. I'm sure Marrones gut was telling him to go, but his brain won out. It was the right call in my opinion. His D was playing much better than the O all game. Spiller I believe had just been stuffed the play before. The last thing Marrone wanted in that situation was to hand Brady the ball in the Buffalo end of the field. Punt it deep and let the D go to work I'm sure was his plan. It didn't work out, but I contend it was the right call.
  21. I'm pretty sure it needs to be a true sell out. However local TV will generally buy a reasonable amount of tickets so that they can broadcast the game and get the commercial revenue rather than showing Lassie
  22. You believe that fans not buying tickets will lead to the team leaving Buffalo. I get that, I don't think the same way myself but I get it. But to belittle people whose patience has run out on the reset every 3 years so they can say they are constantly rebuilding plan the Bills FO has had in place for 13 years and counting makes no sense at all my robotic friend. Some people are fed up and have had enough. Some have better things to do with their money. Some, like me, prefer to watch with their family and it is far more financially feasible to do that at home than at the Ralph with a family of five. The "buy tickets or the team will move" mantra has gotten very old, at least to me. And for the record, Bills fans have put up with a **** product for the past 13 years. The fact that any games sell out tells me that Bills fans ARE some of the most loyal in the NFL.
  23. Agree completely. Besides, the game will be rebroadcast, usually multiple times. Though I would cut people blacked out in Syracuse a little slack myself. Waaaaaaay past 75 miles away from the Ralph there. If it gets blacked out, enjoy the day and watch it later.
  24. 1) Looking at ticketmaster most of the tickets left are in the 300's. I'm thinking TV will buy them out. 2) If there was a towel being thrown in, it was done before yesterday. Tickets have been on sale for quite a while now. But in my opinion there are far more reasons for not buying a ticket to a game other than "throwing in the towel on the season".
