  1. My wife made the mistake of buying kids day preseason tickets from the Bills ticket office some years ago so now she gets calls multiple times a year trying to talk her into seasons. The person who calls is always very nice and polite about it so she has no problem with the calls. But they are a sales organization and I suspect the turnover there year to year can be significant.
  2. Usually they have "bounce houses" etc. up near the stadium. Can't miss it. I think also in the field house they have some things going on for kids. And of course the pinto tailgate will be going which is fun for the entire family in Hammers lot Cheap hot dogs in the stadium as well, but you can be in line an entire quarter for them (pre-season training for vendor staff as well) so if you want those, get into the stadium a little early and get them before the game starts.

  4. No it's not for entry. That would be majorly illegal as it doses the person with radiation. In case of an injury they can easily wheel this thing to the player, Xray the affected area, and see within a few seconds if there is a break or fracture. It's a portable digital medical XRay system.
  5. Made by a company I used to work for in Rochester. Lets hope it never has to be used and can just sit around and look pretty
  6. Personally if the Bills start slow but gradually get better throughout the season with Manuel starting at least the last half of the season, no major injuries, and finishing 8-8 I'd be very very happy and eagerly awaiting the following season.
  7. The existence of this kind of thread makes me almost embarrassed to be a Bills fan. Manuel played with and against first stringers, then against second stringers in one preseason game. Tuel played with and against against 2nd and third stringers in one preseason game. This, and some reading material is the extent of the majority of fans information. Marrone has seen everything fans have seen, plus countless meetings with both QB's, viewing tape, and lots of other things fans are not privy to. Not to mention he is a freaking NFL head coach with just a little more insight than fans on a message board. Let Marrone decide which QB is "winning". A fan making a statement that Tuel, or Manuel, is "winning" is asinine.
  8. Right now the only ones I like are GB and SEA both over. Because the OP said only one, probably SEA.
  9. I'm not sure if there were multiple feeds or not, but I remember seeing Marrone a few times. Typically chewing someone out like the center after the fumble. They also showed Hackett in the box once at least. We had the Bills homer announcers on the time warner sports channel in Roch, maybe we had the Buffalo homer feed and you had the Indy?.
  10. I was thinking that too. I suppose we will know the Bills have turned the corner when we stop hearing that phrase in every other thread.
  11. Based on the reaming Marrone was giving the center, I believe the fumble was on him.
  12. This makes no sense. Why would they do that on his first professional 2 min drill, and why would they not want him to practice a normal 2 min drill instead of something that may happen once during the season.
  13. I imagine that teams looking for WR depth will be watching the Bills cuts closely.
  14. I love it how "optimists" do this when "pessimists" politely make their opinions known, but B word to high heaven when the reverse happens. It was a good showing to be sure, particularly by the scrubs who thoroughly thrashed the colt scrubs. I was particularly impressed with Tuel. But I'm not willing to make superbowl reservations any more than I would be predicting 0-16 had they looked bad.
  15. In Roch (time warner) the NFL network had the packers game and they had the Bills on the time warner sports channel. We had the two ex Bills super homer announcers. I know that's what most fans want in an announcer, but I find it embarrassing.
  16. After 1 preseason game?
  17. Exactly. However he hit receivers in stride and generally looked impressive. To me he looked better than EJ, but EJ was playing against the Indy starters (of course he was playing with the Bills starters as well, which is an advantage). I saw Tuel early in camp and figured he wouldn't even make the practice squad. I was very pleasantly surprised today. Can Marrone go with 2 rookie QBs?
  18. I agree. What could possibly be the NFLs prpblem with that?
  19. As I said in my original post, it was on local (Rochester) radio, no video to see. That radio station broadcasts from there pretty much the duration of camp every year. I just happened to stumble on SJ talking to them driving to work. If you scroll up a little, it looks like jaybee heard it as well. They asked him specifically about "why so serious" and his other antics and asked which one cost him the most money, and if Marrone had talked to him about that kind of thing at all. It did not seem like he was joking around about coming up with something that he hopes would catch on among Bills fans. I don't think there is a problem either.
  20. Why not a quick dance on the sideline and not delay the game instead. Football games have so much dead time in them already I'm all for getting rid of the unnecessary time wasters. Plus its not just endzone dances. Almost every play has someone dancing and prancing because they caught a ball or made a tackle.
  21. That's what the man said. Said he hoped people would get used to it and do it themselves in the stands, so he plans on doing the same thing every time. Personally I don't care if he hires a choreographer to design his dance move, just so long as he stops the dumb-ass crap that hurts the team.
  22. SJ13 was on local Rochester radio this morning on my drive into work. Some of the highlights were: 1) Not even making the trip to Indy. Not an indictment of his injury, just does not want to risk missing the first real game. 2) He is working on a celebration dance (his word not mine) that he will do after every touchdown. 3) There will be no more "why so serious" moments from him. Says he recognizes they hurt the team. Says Marrone did not say anything to him about it. 4) Focusing on making the playoffs this season.
  23. Here is my elegant solution. No preseason games at all. If teams want live play prior to the season start, arrange scrimmages with each other during preseason.
  24. We go to the kids day preseason game every year and the most I have paid for tickets is $8 for lower bowl, with the exception being last year when some scheduling bozo made that game against the Stillers. Stillers fans were buying up the tickets and I had to pay $15. Got this years for $6. It does take a lot of nerve on the part of the NFL in my opinion to charge anyone full price for preseason games. And giant brass ones to do that to your life blood, the season ticket holders.
