Did the ball break the plane on the Marvin Jones "TD"

You are right, the reffing was bad. But it was bad for both teams. Taking the red and blue glasses off allows one to see that. -

Depends on how many QBs are hurt. Remember that the Bills kept pigpen on the roster for how long? Tuel is no worse. -
Kyle Williams' penalty

There were also numerous bad calls that went the Bills way. When are Bills fans going to stop blaming bad luck and bad calls for losses and put the blame where it belongs? -
Except that the "gutsy" play that was called put the TE into the end zone on the same side of the field that the QB was rolling out. Whats wrong with that you say? Well generally nothing. But in this case the TE they put into the pattern was not a TE, but a backup offensive lineman. You have to give yourself at least a high chance of success if you are going to make the "gutsy" call.

This Marrone fella, he's gonna be a good one

Dude, if Lewis ends up being better than Tuel, then those are two HUGE F-ups. Not to mention the others he has had in the other games this season. I don't know if he is going to amount to anything yet or not, but he definitely needs to stop the brain-farts. -
Sadly, that is always the mantra of the Bills ... they should be good next year. I generally agree, but in this case I think it was the right move. It was the kids first drive so obviously he was pumped, particularly running it in himself. Doing "the leap" not only fired up his teammates, it fired up the crowd at the Ralph even more than it already was. When I see veteran players celebrate after every play when they are down by a bunch of points and essentially in garbage time annoys me to no end. But in this case, Thad's leap was all good as far as I am concerned.

Gilmore has a lot of promise. But why the F he was in there today with a club hand I have no idea. The D was terrible today. Forget the excuses, they were terrible, 4th and 15 and the Bungles showed the Bills D no respect and made it look easy. Very disturbing. Lewis overall played considerably better than I expected. That last TD he hit the receiver over the top and in stride. Unlikely that Manuel makes that perfect of a throw. Those that like to blame the zebras for every loss, please shut up. If you had your eyes open you would see equally bad calls that went the Bills way. The Bungles D collapse was an amazing thing to behold. The Bills almost made them pay for it.

If true, would have had to have been setup way before the end of todays game. Probably well before the game even started. -

Nicely done! To the point and informative with just a wee hint of homer I look forward to you keeping this going -
My gameday prognostications...
CodeMonkey replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They probably aren't spending too much time "analyzing" this game. They figure the Bils were struggling with Manuel, and now they have a practice squad QB starting and that he is probably a practice squad guy for a reason. But I see a low scoring game. The Bungles stack the box and stop the run forcing Thad to beat them in the air, which is doubtful that he can do. The Bungles offense isn't "all that" either, plus with the Bills D getting healthier I can't see them scoring much. If the Bills D gets some turnovers deep in the Bungles end that lead to Bills FGs (or pic-six) the Bills can win this. If not, it should go to the bad guys. -
A big part of why is because you are a Bills fan. No one but Bills and Bungles fans will be watching that game tomorrow.

P. Manning, RG3 and Romo versus Thad Lewis and Andy Dalton. No great mystery there.

... to himself. But it is a nice gesture nonetheless!

One of the reasons I don't want to go is BECAUSE it is a nice day outside. Don't want to spend it sitting in the Ralph. Not to me, but to each his own.
-
Several reasons: 1) I don't enjoy watching the game in the stadium as I end up having to watch at least half on the scoreboard. My HD TV is far superior to the scoreboard and my family room far more comfortable than the seats at the Ralph. 2) I prefer watching with my family and spending several hundred dollars minimum per game is not something I prefer to do. Even if it wasn't a perennially sub-par product. 3) All the TV timeouts are excruciating. I record and automatically strip out commercials then watch during dinner with the family after spending the afternoon doing something other than watching a sporting event. A game in 75-ish minutes is far more reasonable. Those are the main reasons.

According to a Bills post on Facebook a short while ago ... So it looks like us couch-gaters will be watching ****ty internet feeds or watching some other day. The NFL is greedy enough to squeeze every penny out of its fans.

Let's turn our attention to the Bengals...

The talking heads disagree with you so far. CBS: All 8 pick the Bungles straight up and 7 out of 8 giving the 7.5 points. ESPN: Hasn't picked yet. -
Is EJ's mild injury a blessing in disguise?

A knee injury will never, ever, be a blessing of any kind. -

Only for the remainder of that game. Then it will be Dixon time and Whaley will be busy looking for another PS QB. -

Yeah I figure he is next in the QB shuffle for the Bills until Manuel is healthy. -
2014 Season to feature 3 games in London

I recently saw an interview with Jerrah who is on some NFL committee for this kind of thing. And what he said was that only 8 or 9 percent of football fans who watch on TV have ever set foot inside a NFL stadium, so TV revenue is what the NFL is targeting for increase. They have pretty much maxed out viewership in the US, so they need to grow their TV market elsewhere. Their first target is the UK. I lived in the UK for a year some time ago and there was a little curiosity about tackle football. But I don't know why they expect/hope it to grow in popularity to the point the BBC or some other network would pay the exorbitant fees that US networks pay. But I guess they have to try.
