  1. I agree. Anyone on this board has watched more minutes of the Bills this season (probably by far) than any of the talking heads.
  2. With the current secondary of the Bills I don't hold out much hope for a win. But I certainly hope to see signs of life from the offense as opposed to last Sunday.
  3. CBS: All pick the Ravens straight up. With the spread (Bills + 3,5) 6 pick Ravens versus 2 for the Bills. ESPN: 9 All 13 pick Ravens and none pick the Bills. 4 don't have their picks in yet.
  4. It's not much different than after a win, just polar opposite messages.
  5. Condemning any player or coach after 2 or 3 games is forum overreaction at its very finest. Do I think Manuel had a bad game Sunday, certainly. Am I in love with the game plan or play calling (by the way, we do not know how many plays were changed by Manuel), absolutely not. Do I think the hurry up with this team is a huge mistake, definitely. But like it or not, particularly the delusional few who were/are predicting playoffs this year, this is a (re)building year. If I don't see steady improvement in all aspects of the offense in particular the 2nd half of the season I will be extremely disappointed. But the Bills organization didn't descend into obscurity in one season, and it certainly won't climb out in one season either.
  6. Not most of the "fans" in this thread. All of the "man up" and "who waits til they are 100% to play" posts and both funny and sad at the same time. Sad to think some Bills fans don't get the simple concept that you have outlined.
  7. I disagree in the case of this years Bills. So many new faces and coaches. New scheme. As you said, a rookie QB. Suspect OL. The top RB cannot pass block. I think the hurry-up in the Bills current environment is a huge coaching blunder. It is tough enough for a QB to assimilate into the NFL without piling more onto his shoulders. All the hurry-up has done thus far is to force the defense onto the field far more than they should be. Even suspect offenses like the Jets and going to score if you give them that many chances. Maybe by the end of the season I will be proven wrong and the hurry-up will be working great. But for now it is a disaster.
  8. You would be too with 8 sacks and god knows how many knock downs.
  9. To be honest, the Jets were far more responsible for the Bills last score than the Bills were. But throwing Manuel under the bus for one stinker game makes no sense either. Besides, he was not alone in the stinking department. Numerous coaches and players from both sidelines made that game the stink-fest that it was.
  10. And yet they still had 20 penalties for almost 200 yards. Most on defense. Set a team record and almost a NFL record. Your point?
  11. I have been in that same mind set all along. But man, almost every aspect of the team seemed to regress yesterday.
  12. Well, thigh is better than knee.
  13. I assume you missed the part where he wasted all his challenges and could not challenge the Manuel fumble that was ruled not a fumble? That was potentially a game losing mistake. SJ13 made yet another stupid mistake. It's just that the Jet was able to surpass his stupidity. And for what it's worth, the last call on the Jet was no penalty. It was SJ13 diving.
  14. I thought it would be a close game. And I was wrong. Almost 200 yards in penalties, the zebras letting Manuel get away with a fumble recovered by the Jets late in the game. Manuel and Spiller both horrible. To say the Bills offense sucked doesn't begin to do it justice. The Jets should have won that game by 50 points. I'm still waiting to see the game to game improvement. I sure hope it starts soon.
  15. Bull ****. Negotiations failed and the Bills tagged him because they could. If Byrd is feigning injury or at least milking it, it is the card he could play so he did. This situation no how no way validates either side. Of course he is! This is his future and livlihood at stake. It is a business. The Bils are looking out only for their interests and Byrd is looking out for his. Why is that hard to understand? Man, homers make me crazy sometimes.
  16. CBS picks about half for each team, with and without the spread. They think it is going to be a close game again and so do I.
  17. That's exactly how I see it as well. And I'll add a number (iii) Keeping a lid on stupid penalties.
  18. Saying it does not matter in the least. You, the Bills and/or the players union (who wouldn't do anything in a situation like this anyway) would have to prove it. Which as you pointed out, they can't. And I disagree with your statement about Byrd not playing by the rules of the CBA. I think he is, the CBA allows for this situation.
  19. Like I said elsewhere, a Bills Panthers game with its very limited audience wasn't going to get the A-Team from either Fox or CBS.
  20. There never is here when the call favors the Bills I agree that the call was valid, though SJ13 did do a bit of acting to sell it. I have also seen many instances of worse than that not being called.
  21. And it was obviously not their top tier talent either working the cameras, in the booth, or in front of the camera. It was Buffalo and Carolina after all. Not many areas even got the game.
  22. I wasn't bored because I am a Bills fan. But I can see where if you were not a Bills or Panthers fan it would have been boring (except the last 5 minutes). I would call it more of a mistake-fest than defensive battle myself, but there were good defensive moments as well.
