  1. If people really believe in the "iron clad lease" and the Trust demanding an oath in blood that the Bills will stay in WNY, I'm not sure why they would fear Gundlach as an owner. He is very smart, logical, and from what I hear very no nonsense. He would not put up with any incompetence in the front office, that is for sure. And he is very likely to leave the football decisions to the football people. Not to mention he did not make his money by poisoning people, but that's just my bias talking. I get that Pegula has more than demonstrated he wants to be the Buffalo NY white knight, and is certainly putting his money where his mouth is. But if the trust, for whatever reason, does not want Pegula, the Bills could do a whole lot worse than Jeffrey Gundlach as an owner in my opinion.
  2. I agree, I have seen some improvement as well. Enough to warrant being optimistic about his future? Not yet, for me anyway. But at the very least he has seemingly not regressed. As I said in another thread, a good barometer for him as well as the team in general, will be the opener against the Bears. The "dress rehearsal" game Saturday should tell us a lot as well. Although it is unlikely Watkins will dress for that game so that "tell" will be tainted a bit.
  3. There is at least some logic to Sanchise
  4. For gods sake people. Since no one here knows the exact diagnosis what makes you think a doctor or anyone else is going to be able to give you a meaningful prognosis? What we know is Watkins has "bruised ribs". In general, these things heal when they heal. I'm sure Watkins is getting the best care possible so just let it go and I'm sure when he is able to play he will play.
  5. Whaley/Marrone will not bring anyone to camp that could challenge Manuel for the starting position.
  6. If that is true my respect level for her just shot way up.
  7. You should not have overlap in the number of wins. 0-3 4-8 for example.
  8. The same was said about the stache too But I feel much more confident that it is true in this case.
  9. You might find it hard to believe but there is a middle ground, not an either/or situation. Also, some don't think he should be "our guy" and are very worried given the Bills seemingly have no viable backup at the moment. If/When Manuel plays well you will see 80% of the posts here singing his praises.
  10. Skip those last 10-12 beers and you shouldn't puke on yourself
  11. Some can't stand anything but "_____ player is great!" when it comes to the Bills (or whatever team they follow). This is particularly true of a player that is going to have to be very good if the team is going to be able to compete. And that is how they express themselves. Nothing new and generally not worth worrying about. Sounds pretty combative to me.
  12. The stillers dropped 7 into coverage almost every play. Checkdowns are appropriate in that situation. Not saying I'm thrilled with his play so far this preseason, but faulting him for checking down last night is unfair.
  13. That is what it looked like, but at the same time is inconsistent with Marrone's "win now" philosophy that he has been talking about of late. Also inconsistent with him kicking the field goal to tie the game late to setup overtime. I am in agreement with some posts above that Manuel and the 1st offense in general had at best a mediocre game (missing Watkins didn't help) and the 1st D got abused badly by the stiller 1st O. The Bills starters are going to have to be much better than they showed last night a few short weeks from now.
  14. I think he is just trying to make **** up to keep it upbeat is all and it isn't easy.
  15. And that last drive was against the stiller backups, right?
  16. Rib injury, not returning. Hopefully just precautionary.
  17. So what? The point of any offshore expansion is to expand the market and get non-American fans, and more importantly their money. Who cares if Americans find the teams irrelevant or not.
  18. You can park in lot 1 and still arrive pretty late then walk across the street to hammers as well.
  19. You can probably just say you rent and you aren't allowed to put up a dish. But if you have previously subscribed from that address you are probably screwed. Maybe find someone who lives in an apartment and get it through them.
  20. Anything JF related is newsworthy I guess.
  21. I never even said I disagreed with it Just said I didn't think they would bring Hoyer to camp because they don't want to push Manuel
  22. Youtube has very low bitrates. I suspect this directTV offering is of considerably higher quality (at least I would hope it is! ) Plus if the machine you are casting from is wired into your router and not on wifi it works much better even with higher quality streams. At least that has been my experience, and I have wireless N. The problem is due to the wireless being oversaturated with HD streams both coming into your PC/tablet via wireless then being sent over to the Chromecast also over wireless.
  23. It is. But neither Tuel or Thad can push Manuel at all. Which, in my opinion, is one reason they are in camp. Hoyer could at least push Manuel. And in my opinion, the Bills have shown no desire to push Manuel so far.
  24. It only casts to the TV from the chrome browser. It also gets to the chromecast device via wireless tcpip. If your wireless has a lot of traffic and you are trying to watch HD content, forget about it. And if your iPad is getting the stream via wireless you can forget about HD content working either. I have one and it is ok, particularly for the price, but it is very limited. You are better off hooking your tablet up to the TV via HDMI ... much MUCH better off.
  25. True. I don't see the Bills bringing in any QB that could compete with Manuel for the starting position. And Hoyer could at the very least compete for the starting job.
