  1. That is an interesting take. If the trust has handcuffed potential new ownership as many believe, that certainly would keep the number of bids as well as the amount of the bids themselves down and would explain the desire to get Golisano and potentially others into the mix. The trust may well have F'd themselves and Pegula could end up getting a pretty good deal out of it.
  2. It would seem it went up for no economic reason. The bubble tends to burst on assets with a large overvaluation at some point as we have seen in recent history. Was it Mark Cuban that was predicting a NFL crash not that long ago? While a crash would seem eminent based solely on the economics of the situation, as long as billionaires like to have swordfights with each other a NFL team should remain a safe investment.
  3. Unless Manuel gets hurt I don't see any way this happens. Marrone and Whaley are all-in on Manuel. You will see nothing but Manuel as the starter as long as he is healthy regardless of how well he plays. And I am fine with that. Give Manuel every opportunity to make it or not this season. He has been given all the tools he could possibly ask for. Time to shine.
  4. FWIW my oldest is with you. Loves him some TuelTime while still hoping for the best when it comes to Manuel. Liking both doesn't have to be impossible, though you might think so here. But then again, he also thinks Tebow has been working hard and the Bills should bring him to camp for a look ... so ...
  5. 13,000+ posts and you still have hope. Nice!
  6. I get you, and the trust may well fit into that category. But the question still remain as to why JBJ's merry band of party poopers or anyone else would risk getting screwed by leaking? Just the threat of potential enforcement would make me keep my mouth shut for everyone except maybe Kate Upton Really? What makes more sense to you, the JBJ group of millionaires and billionaires is too ignorant to follow a NDA regarding their billion dollar bid, or there is no leak?
  7. So it is just the JBJ group that has leaked info? And why would they do that having signed the NDA?
  8. I see your logic. But why waste time and money with an NDA that you have no intention of enforcing? And why would anyone with half a brain who signed it, risk leaking? It doesn't make any sense. You may well be right. But my opinion is still that the leaks are nothing but bull ****. We will almost certainly never know for sure.
  9. Any NDA written like that is unenforceable and just as bad as not having one at all. I work in R&D environments and as such come across them all the time. Most are well written and fairly boilerplate. And I can't speak for the trust and these alleged leaks, but any company worth anything enforces them to the limit of the law if they need to as their livelihood can hang in the balance. If these leaks are real, and are against the NDA, expect significant legal action. If there is none, it probably means that the alleged leaks are either not against the terms of the NDA, or are nothing but fiction.
  10. Unless of course Manuel was at the top of the list Come on man, does it mean Manuel should be cut or is a bust, obviously not. But to have all of the giants QB's rated higher than all of the Bills QB's. As meaningless as height (which actually isn't meaningless, just ask Flutie ) ?
  11. More like the Giants QBs had a considerably better game than their Bills counterparts.
  12. I know you don't want to read too much into a pre-preseason game ... but the QB ratings in descending order: Nassib: 126.7 Painter: 102.8 Manning: 92.3 Tuel[time]: 74.1 Lewis: 50.8 Manuel: 39.6 Not exactly what you want to see in any game, even a pre-preseason one. Gotta hope for better Friday. At least it can't get a whole lot worse.
  13. Yeah, she (?) was making some sense until then. But Pegula should back out because between the team and a new stadium (which she is assuming he is going to have to build, this isn't Canada after all, states stupidly fund stadiums for teams in the US) it is going to cost him $2 billion and with the team in Buffalo that's not a sound investment. But JBJ and pals should stick around and make that same investment. Very odd logic indeed.
  14. Why just Bon Jovi? Why not call on Pegula and Golisano to do the same? Most agree that they would keep the Bills in WNY. But if anyone is going to try and demand JBJ enter into a unnecessary binding agreement that could only serve to hurt the team, why not target all potential owners? Maybe because Pegula and Golisano would have to lose 100 IQ points before doing anything that stupid. A lot of ridiculousness going on these days and the "fanalliance" is now leading the pack.
  15. I agree with what you are thinking regarding Mrs Wilson completely. We don't know what instructions, if any, were attached to the trust. And it is unlikely we ever will.
  16. B. Because its 100 million freaking dollars and my top priority is to my wife and other heirs. And he could not know for sure if the difference would end up being between 1.2B and 1.3B or 800mil and 900mil. I don't care who you are, even Mr. Terry Pegula, 100 million dollars is a lot of money. Far more than most of us will make in a lifetime. Think like a businessman, which Mr. Wilson was and Mr. Pegula is, and not with your heart like a fan.
  17. Yes I can right now: [crickets chirping] We know nothing.
  18. Only thing I can think of is he isn't sure of a slam dunk by Pegula and the only way he can monitor the situation is by submitting a non-binding bid so he is involved with the process. Without doing that, he might be as clueless as to what is going on as we are. What TheTruth says would be a reason as well I suppose.
  19. I've met with him several times and the bigger dick statement is very much not him. If he were to own the Bills I believe it would be for the same reason he owned the Sabres, to make sure they stayed in Buffalo. He would then look for another owner who would do that as well. Like he did with Pegula and the Sabres. If he is getting his non-binding bid in now, the only thing I can think is he believes some group that would want to move the Bills is a threat and he wants to be able to monitor the situation from the inside. And you are so certain of this how? Couldn't be more wrong based on my experience. And it's spelled Golisano.
  20. Dunn tire still had some yesterday as well for anyone interested.
  21. A man of few, but choice, words
  22. Doesn't sound like he is doing so good. Hopefully he has a couple good days at least and the change of scenery does him some good. Cancer is some nasty ****. Took my Dad. My sister and I have both had a form of it, but fortunately nothing as bad as Kelly has. All the best to him!
  23. An overwhelming majority thinking the Bills leapfrog both the Jests and the Fish and finish in 2nd place this season. Interesting. I predicted getting past one of them but not both. Not this season anyway.
  24. Best time of year to be a Bills fan It's taken almost 2 full seasons to get 12 wins for quite a while now
