  1. I suspect we won't get much if any more than we have been getting so far, speculation.
  2. Interesting, I didn't get that take at all. It was well written and very level headed. Put forth the facts, at least as much as are known, and some speculation by experienced people. I didn't walk away thinking JBJ was the next owner by any means, but I didn't get the sense from that article that he wasn't either. All in all a very fair piece,
  3. Yeah his twitter quotes are exactly what you would hope would come from a previous mayor of Rochester and current politician, as well as a Bills fan apparently Schumer has come up in several (probably too many) threads already. But I like your qualifier in bold
  4. I strongly suspect that agreement about the sabres was not for 35 years (or forever) and did not include a 1 Billion dollar penalty.
  5. Yeah I have had that in the back of my mind the entire time as well. But companies are bound by previous contracts when they are sold to new ownership. It is the corporation that is bound by the contract, no matter who the ownership (or shareholders) are. So i suspect that applies here as well. Edit: And what jw said while we were typing at the same time
  6. The cat is out of the bag that a group that wants to own a NFL team that has most of its members in Toronto commissioned a study before the Bills went on the market investigating stadium locations in the Toronto area? That cat? Pegula would not sign that (only a moron would). Why should they?
  7. What you are describing is the kids day preseason game (if you buy your tickets from a season ticket holder). And coincidentally, the game being discussed in this thread IS the kids day game
  8. Try thadbrown7. Also a sportscaster that spends a lot of time at OBD and camp
  9. Is there anyone Bills related you don't follow on twitter my friend? That's a Rochester TV sportscaster
  10. Interesting. They had Lt. Gov Duffy on the radio here this morning (he is from Rochester) and they were talking about the Bills sale. His comments, framed in a politically correct way praising the Gov as well as the Bills front office, was that the he thinks the Bills should stay in Buffalo, and that the 400 mil penalty (imposed, he said, by the Governor) is very helpful for that but ultimately it will be up to the new ownership to decide. Then he made some jokes about having 8-tracks of Bon Jovi . Refreshingly honest for a politician was my overall impression. Now seeing that tweet I'm not so sure. EDIT: After reading all of the tweets in Yolo's post below, I guess he isn't inconsistent. His radio statement says it is up to new ownership, and his tweets are basically a WNY'er Bills fan saying "don't do it".
  11. I fully expected to be < .500 going into last season. However I would be disappointed with < .500 this coming season. If Manuel/Marrone can't pull off at least 8-8 with this team ... fail.

  13. A lot of people don't like change much.
  14. Giving up what they did for Sammy, the Bills are all-in on Manuel for sure. No matter if he lights it up or goes down in flames, they should play Manuel all season to see what he's got. Give him every opportunity to succeed. If he flames out then well, whats another 4 years of futility.
  15. I might have 4 tickets available. I should know for sure this afternoon and will let you know.
  16. And tomorrow is a night practice so there should be no shortage of play-by-play
  17. They showed him on the news here the other night working out at camp and he did not look too overweight to me (not for him anyway). I think he just isn't fit enough to practice.
  18. You think NFL fans across the nation will stand behind Bills fans to the point of a boycott of their own teams? Agree to disagree here Would they make some noise about being displeased, I wouldn't be surprised if a fair amount did. But not support or watch their favorite teams, uhhhhh no
  19. They showed him at SJF today on the news here tonight. Not with the team, just doing conditioning with a coach with him the entire time. He didn't look any heavier to me than last season. So at least he doesn't have to drop weight, just get fit.
  20. Yeah as a politician, he is pretty talented. Which means you can probably trust what he says as much as a talented politician as well
  21. It can do no harm to have him in the Bills fans corner. Just not a lot of good other than getting press coverage, which he is good at. In order for it to be a bargaining chip, it has to be a possibility or at least the other parties in the negotiation need to believe it is a possibility. Do you seriously believe that even Schumer himself would risk killing the NFL for the city of Buffalo much less the other politicians he would need? I certainly do not. But as you said, we can agree to disagree.
  22. Oh good lord, not Chuckles again. So Chuckles is going to, singlehandedly vote to end the NFL exemptions. Oh wait, he can't. No problem, all he has to do is convince enough politicians, who need to get re-elected at some point,, to kill the top sport in the United States. Yeah no problem there. And Chuckles needs to get himself re-elected as well. I don't think his actions would be very popular in the rest of the state, particularly in the NYC region which he needs to carry. The reason it isn't emphasized more is that it is ludicrous to think he could pull it off, even if he wanted to.
  23. You see, that's just the point. No one here (unless a trustee or potential bidder is a member) fully understands the process at play here
  24. Oh, well they could if they had a strange desire to give stubhub money for no reason. What I was/am saying is there is no need for stubhub to transfer tickets safely/securely anymore. Now it may still be a convenient way for people to advertise them for sale I suppose if it was worth the stubhub service charge. EDIT: Well unless everyone gets hardcopy tickets like Chevy
  25. Resemble? But you don't need a poll to know that the vast majority of people here trust and want no one other than one Terrence Pegula to be the next owner of the Buffalo Bills.
