  1. I was just watching Rugby (an interesting game when played at a high level) and noticed that when a team scores, they receive the ball on the ensuing kickoff instead of kicking it away like they do in tackle football. I guess the theory is that a team should keep the ball on offense until the other team stops them. Changing tackle football to be this way could make for more interesting games when the score is close at the end, eliminating the onside kick which rarely works anyway. Of course it could also make blowout games even more lopsided. One potential problem I see is field goals. Teams could just keep kicking them all game and getting the ball back. Maybe the rule would need to be you get the ball back only after scoring a touchdown. Thoughts?
  2. You obviously aren't from Rochester and didn't bother to research at all to make an ignorant statement like that about Golisano (even enough to spell his name correctly). If it came down to those two, I would pick Pegula as well. But only because Golisano would buy the team for the same reason he bought the Sabres, only to keep them in Buffalo (you must have forgotten that as well) until he could find a long term owner who would. Whereas Pegula already would be a long term owner that would keep the team in the area.
  3. Here is some more detailed information. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/2014-Training-Camp-night-practice-ticket-information/22e4ada3-d208-4c65-ab50-78ab08d31747?campaign=fb_buf_article
  4. Or maybe it's because a lot of people realize that although it could be a nice "feel good" thing to do for some, it is really meaningless when it comes to the Bills staying in WNY or not.
  5. After the first 12 carries of the season he will still be at 2000 +/- 5 yards to go. Then after the next carry 1950 to go.
  6. Social engineering is tough in cases like this where there are so few people with legitimate access. Probably easier to hack the website, if someone were so inclined.
  7. My advice would be to listen to the doctors and do exactly what they say. Often times athletes are in such a hurry to get back to it that they start working out too soon and damage it even further. Let it heal.
  8. As much as he needs. When (if) he really has it together during the preseason, then bubble wrap him and put him in for a series or two for the rest of preseason. But if he is sucking, play the hell out of him until he works himself through it. Entire games if need be. Manuel CANNOT suck if the Bills are going to do anything this season.
  9. Kinda cool that they are giving ST holders first shot at tickets this year.
  10. So, when and where can we get the tickets?
  11. They are all representing not just A country, but one of their countries i do not have dual citizenship with France for example, so I could not play for the French world cup team (I could however, coach the team). The Americans making it out of group play was a very good accomplishment for them. It certainly wasn't due to the talent (except goalie, Tim Howard stood on his head the entire tournament). I think it had a lot to do with them getting a world class coach this time around finally, and he had them playing as a team whereas a lot of the "better" teams that went home after group play (such as Spain and England for example) played as a group of talented individuals.
  12. You might be overreacting just a little. Even during the draft there were some saying Watkins was on the top of their list, but the Bills "overpaid" for him. The Bills have sucked for 14 years straight, which is a major accomplishment given that the NFL is designed not to let that happen. Given everything, including now Kiko out for the season and a HUGE ? at QB, there is no reason for national media to think the Bills will do anything but suck this coming season as well. Let them talk their **** now. Then, hopefully, eat their words later.
  13. This is nothing new and happens in all competitions pitting country against country that I am aware of such as the Olympics. Dual citizenship allows you the opportunity, rightly or wrongly, to play for either country. The truly sad thing is, the US team has so few decent players that the 4 Germans on the US team were only there because they were not good enough to make the German team.
  14. He was trying to get a picture of JF's junk to pleasure himself too later.
  15. I am not a football fan (anymore). I find the game extremely difficult and tedious to watch in real time with all of the unnecessary delays created solely for TV commercials. I am still, and expect will always be, a Buffalo Bills fan however. It is something that I can enjoy with my family, including things like training camp where the organization goes out of their way to make it enjoyable for kids of all ages.
  16. The hot 18-25 year old girls seem to do very well getting autographs by the fence after practice as well
  17. I believe your sense may be correct. And it is definitely correct among American football fans..
  18. So now Kyrk has covered all his bases and will be right no matter what happens, well played
  19. That is common among American football fans and in my opinion is very sad. I would think anything that has athletes representing their country would trump a domestic game regardless of the game being played. But it is what it is. Though the poll is currently sitting at 13% for world cup which is higher than I expected here. I was estimating about 5%.
  20. As I'm sure you are aware, being in Pittsford it is unlikely people will be renting out their yards or even driveways as parking places. I have never seen them do so anyway. Honestly, the shuttle is probably your best bet. The buses run very frequently to get you there. If you try and leave right as practice ends you will wait 10 -15 minutes for a bus back. If your kids are young enough (14 or under) and want to go to the autograph tent after practice (my kids love it) then you won't wait for a bus back at all. No autograph tent after night practices though. That's where we park when we go. As for tickets, I was asking that above as well. I'm hoping they put them on ticketmaster and let you print them. I think they did that one or twice in the past and it was great. Particularly for out of towners.
  21. The only real mistake Pegula has made so far with the Sabres is not firing that worthless piece of **** Regier the millisecond he became owner. By all accounts Pegula does not have the same passion for football that he has for hockey. Which means he would not "meddle" if that's what you are worried about. He does, however, have a passion to revive Buffalo and I have no doubt he would do whatever it takes to make both the Bills and Sabres relevant again. In my opinion, the Sabres have taken a big step this offseason. Pegula, in my opinion, would be the best owner out of all the names I have seen floated so far.
  22. I thought he had only worked with sellers before. This would make the hiring make a lot more sense. As to the rest of your post, it could well turn out that way (and I hope it does). But this treating someones speculation as fact makes me crazy (admittedly a short trip).
  23. Anyone get this email yet? I'm wondering when and where to get tickets for the first practice. Thanks!
  24. Yeah two weeks from tonight at 6pm!
  25. I 100% agree with this. It will probably be the QB, I'm hoping at this point that it ends up being Manuel.
