  1. Yeah you would think if the trustees had any wiggle room at all regarding which offer to take, Pegula would be at the top of their list.
  2. I happen to agree with his picks. But it would be nice if he substantiated them a little better than "didn't live up to expectations". There is far less detail there than in your typical post here on the subject. Amazing he draws a CBS paycheck with submissions like that.
  3. Not even close to enough in my opinion. This is a billion dollar acquisition we are talking about here. Right now any and all serious bidders as well as the trustees have a lot of things to consider, not to mention there is an NDA in place. If I were involved in this process, relieving the angst of Bills fans probably wouldn't crack my top 100 things to worry about. Because in the grand scheme of things, it just doesn't matter.
  4. Flip that around. What is the advantage for them by making it public? If there isn't one (and I can't think of one) then there is no reason for them to do it.
  5. Tweet him back "Ask whoever gave you the iPad for the unlock code".
  6. That's how TM seems to do it online now for everything. I have found for concerts that if you call TM and jerk around until you get a human on the line, they will check for specific seats. The automated phone system is the same as the online, you need to get a human.
  7. In my opinion, running back is a position where you do not need to be smart. It's a position that relies heavily on speed, power, and instinct. Not intelligence. Spiller did not draft himself, so it is unfair to put that on him. But I have been of the mindset from the moment they drafted him that high it was a mistake. Now that he is on the team though, I hope the Bills somehow find a way to use him where he can be productive most of the time instead of a all or nothing back.
  8. I have always thought this woman is an absolute assclown, and it seems she is writing this tongue-in-cheek (at least I hope she is), but some of her statements read like she pulled them right from this thread http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2014-06-25.html
  9. If it's her first trip to Buffalo you probably should take her to anchor bar. Just get a small order of wings just so she can say she did, then take her to Duffs or Gabriels Gate.
  10. What news was that? I must have missed it.
  11. A poll probably would have been easier to count But I have no problem with you.
  12. MLS is like watching d-league basketball or ahl hockey. Not "major" at all despite its name
  13. Baseball is generally higher scoring than soccer I think. But it is so god awful slow. If a game is on TV, it is in the 7th inning, and tied or maybe a run difference I can watch. But 9 innings, good lord. But, going to a game with a group of friends on a nice day is fun. The game moves so slowly you can relax and have a good time with your friends and not miss anything. I can watch the Bills (without commercials) but not football in general, i really enjoy hockey, soccer, and college basketball, and I can watch small doses of baseball. I must prefer constant activity, even if it isn't constant full speed action.
  14. But how were the Germans? Sucking wind or more fit? The weather in Brazil now will certainly make fitness a key attribute to a teams success.
  15. They were with england and italy so it may have looked that way to them going in. But england and italy are both playing golf now so ...
  16. Its 3 substitutions. But as people are complaining about the pussification of the NFL now, that would be the cry if they tried to do what you are suggesting. A big part of the game is being fit enough to play the entire game. Not sitting on the bench for half the game or more. Kids here, and I assume everywhere, allow unlimited substitutions which obviously makes sense. But up at the pro level fitness should play a role in my opinion. "Friendlies" (soccer term for scrimmages) generally allow unlimited subs, but once you go out you can't go back in. Free substitutions would disrupt the flow of the game too much as well. If they were to implement a "for Americans" rule change, I'd prefer a blue line like hockey over this (though I want neither).
  17. But won on goal differential by 3 goals and they knew it when they were still on the field. They did back in, based primarily by Germany beating Portugal by 4 goals. But our team is mainly comprised of "also ran" players so just advancing out of arguably the most difficult group is a nice accomplishment. So I don't mind some celebrating.
  18. I certainly hope the Bills are closer to being relevant than they have been for the past 14 years.
  19. I would just hate to see well intentioned Bills fans get fleeced. Kickstarter groups are generally out to fund development of a product of some kind. The BFA has no hope at this stage of the game of doing anything productive regarding new ownership. I just hope that if they do end up soliciting donations that they are responsible enough to make it abundantly clear and truthful as to what they intend to do with the money.
  20. I think a lot of that is due to the fact that NBC among others are now broadcasting a lot of English Premier League soccer matches both live (fairly early weekend mornings in the US) and replays. The quality of these games is so much above MLS that Americans finally have a chance to see how the game should be played more than once every 4 years. Heh
  21. Granted the difference between 1.1 and 1.2 billion does not look like much when you see the numbers in writing. But if you were one of the beneficiaries believe me 100 million is an awful lot of money to leave on the table.
  22. Generally speaking Joe is correct. And the "commitment as trustees" is exactly as he describes. However we do not know, and will probably never know, what if anything was written into the trust that would benefit a owner that intends to keep the team in WNY. I personally don't think there is anything in the trust like that, otherwise the Bills would not have pursued such a restrictive lease (there would be no point to it if the trust specified the team stay in WNY). But as I said, we will probably never know for sure.
  23. Yeah the new coach who is German got several German players who qualify to play for the US as well to play for him on the US team. I think you tend to see that in all competitions where countries are represented such as the Olympics. There aren't enough world class players raised in the US yet to field a competitive team. You will see a lot of MLS players on the US roster which is simply not good enough. MLS is like a D-League at this point. You only play there if you are not good enough to play anywhere better, or if you are getting too old to stay in the better leagues. There aren't enough American coaches of high enough quality to compete at the world level either. That's why they hired the German coach who is very good.
  24. If it is supposed to be a bidding process with a NDA in place, this would appear to be highly unethical and potentially illegal. But like you, I am flying blind as well.
  25. You are right of course in that this is a Bills fan board and most are not just Bills fans, but tackle football fans in general. What's humorous, at least to me though, is when someone who is a fan of tackle football calls another sport "slow".
