Agree it was ridiculous. But it wasn't just a lot of people pissed over a difference of opinion - Beasley was, himself, pissed over the difference of opinion. Everyone, including Beasley, could have handled it better.
I'm thrilled he's back.
Does snow actually help with deep routes? Don't offensive players have the upper hand?
For short timing routes, I buy that snow negatively impacts the receiver.
To be fair we've got to have someone who can work a zone defense better. It's a shame about Crowder who I think, if he had stayed healthy, would have become a weekly performer.
I'd like Beasley back no question.
Back to the point at hand: we sorely need Crowder's ability to work zone coverage/middle of the field.
I see a tune up game in the regular season and then hope for the best...
Dorsey did not call a good game. Our offensive line is bad. We have GOT to figure out a short passing game and quick. The W is all that matters, and the Jets' D is no joke. Onward.
Our offense has real issues, mainly the OLine and WRs not named Diggs. But the reaction to today's offensive performance is off the mark. It was a sneaky good game from Allen in those conditions. If the many drops we're even cut in half...I guess maybe im saying it was a good Allen performance than it was a good offensive performance.
Saffold. Blegh.
This offense is absolutely screaming for a good slot receiver. Yes the OLine sucks and a possession outside WR2 would add a lot as well....but man, a Beasley from 2 years ago would change a hell of a lot.
I think this was a sneaky good game from Josh. Give him some help dammit. OLine was often rough, McKenzie with brutal drops. Sure, a few balls were poorly placed...but those footballs were slick.
I realize I'm in the minority, but I've never disliked Mayfield. His competitive spirit is there. The walk-on stuff is admirable. But I wonder what happens to his career from here.
