  1. F**K NO! Hindsight 20/20, I'd rather have JP Losman still here. Delhomme just throws the ball up for grabs under pressure.... no thanks.
  2. ***NEWS FLASH*** F R E D J A C K S O N You should use some common sense... Marshawn is a 2nd string player for the Bills. I'll take A. Cromartie any day of the week for Lynch straight up.
  3. You have no idea what a 3-4 is, do you? The idea is pressure from all angles, not dropping 4 LBers in coverage. Spread offense? The Bills don't play Florida or Michigan in 2010. Maybin could never, I repeat, never play DE in a 3-4. He would get smoked by double teams... gaurd/tackle or tackle/TE. 275-280 pounds is the bare minimum to play 3-4 DE.
  4. Not really. 3-4 ends are generally run specialists, not pass rushers. Perfect example was the Chiefs pick at #3 of Tyson Jackson from LSU in the '09 draft. Had he gone to a 4-3 team, he would have played DT, not DE. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2009/profiles/tys...ackson?id=71341 Stroud could make the move to end or bulk up and hold down the nose tackle position until a 360 pound mass of humanity becomes available via free agency or the draft. The Bills LBers are already well suited to play the 3-4... Schobel would move to OLB the same as Aaron Kampman did for Green Bay in 2009. The last 3-4 defense the Bills implemented in 2000 had a front 3 of Hansen, Washington and Wiley. Pat Williams came in on some obvious run downs to form "the package" tandem at DT. LBers were Newman and Rogers outside, Holecek & Cowart inside. That was one hell of a defense...
  5. Go through the archives next time. There's at least 10 topics discussing Vick and the Bills. This is like burping up raw seafood over...and over...and over.
  6. I don't watch film for 6 hours a day, but I can't think of one 3-4 defense that runs anything near a tampa 2 scheme in the secondary. It defeats the entire purpose of the 3-4 scheme. The 3-4 is all about bringing pressure from any conceivable angle and from any position . The tampa 2 base requires the mike LBer to drop 8-15 yards and cover the natural gap left between the safeties as well as the OLB's covering the flats.... I would like to see a full conversion to the 3-4, attacking defense.
  7. I see a whole lot of Ben Roethlisberger in Tim Tebow. I do concede that Ben Ro was a better pure passer coming out of college. Size Toughness Leadership Innate ability to keep plays alive with his feet long enough to make something positive happen Winner To me, it's the intangibles that make him special.
  8. Great thought process meathead. I'm not implying the Bills need to practice outside all week in pads regardless of temperature or weather conditions. At some point, you need to pad up outdoors and practice in more than spandex. Is it safe to assume you never played a down of football in your life? You sure as hell don't practice in the gym all week.
  9. Never wanted the the walrus in the first place. Let him further destroy Cleveland...
  10. Love it! I think that stupid field house just makes soft players softer. How do you build a home field advantage in Orchard Park, NY when you practice in a giant 65 degree room in shorts? GET OUT IN THE ELEMENTS PUSSIES!
  11. Sullivan's source is whom ever the fat, drunk Irish guy sitting directly to his right is... Sully's a bitter drunk tool who doubles as a writer when sober.
  12. +1 Great guy, but the same concepts and schemes as skeletor. No more cover 2 crap and bland offensive football
  13. That was based on the article by Vic Carucci... There was not a confirmed offer of 5yrs/50mill and partial ownership. It was speculation based on the fact Shanahan is still being paid by the Broncos.
  14. "This is the NFL... which stands for Not For Long when you make calls like that." My favorite Glanville line of all time. I wonder if he still leaves tickets for Elvis? Interesting guy, but no chance on God's green earth he coaches the Bills in 1989, 1999 or 2010 and beyond...
  15. That's a very naive statement. In the NFL, teams can be rebuilt, re-tooled and winning in 2-3 seasons. A quality front office that can hit on high draft choices & sign the appropriate free agents combined with an effective coaching staff can work wonders. I'm not implying that this will be the case with the Bills, but it can happen in this league.
  16. Cottrell - employs the 3-4 scheme generally Fewell - Cover 2, bend don't break garbage. The defensive philosophies don't mesh well. I wouldn't mind Teddy C as the D coordinator implementing the 3-4 scheme, but nothing more.
  17. Maybe they can draft a black sheep clone of Bruce Smith?
  18. What's your definition of a "star" middle linebacker? There's only 3 in the league that can be classified as stars... Patrick Willis Ray Lewis Brian Urlacher
  19. Thanks for the post. Now go spend 3 hours and actually watch the game. Poz isn't Patrick Willis, but he's a quality NFL linebacker.
  20. hahahahahahahahahaha! Obviously, you, your mom, dad or uncle work for that disaster of an American company. Some uneducated clown installs door handles all day for 60 grand a year and cries the blues about not being able to afford their $40,000 truck and $250,000 suburban mansion. Cry me a river... The Chevy Aveo is my personal favorite.
  21. !@#$ him! The game passed him by in the 90's... He would be beyond lost in 2010. NO MORE OLD, CRUSTY SOB's! Find me a Tomlin, Singletary or Ryan. Young, confident and full of hot, angry piss-n-vinegar!
  22. Can you grab me a Nachos Deluxe and a Chicken Fajita? I'll be there to drop a steamer on the 30... better yet, the goal line that the Bills so infrequently cross.
  23. My initial first choice was Shanahan. Dungy HC and Weis OC would be a dream scenario! Never gonna happen, but what a combo that would be...
  24. I take it your new to NFL football? The Bills are awful, not average, not OK, not middle of the pack. Blaming Fewell is the 100% incorrect. Inept offense, multiple defensive injuries and the Bills are still in games in the 4th quarter... and have actually found a way to win 3 games! He deserves an interim gig.
  25. Please football gods.... we've suffered through Williams, Mularkey & Skeletor. Shanahan would build an O-line and actually RUN THE BALL! Bring the 3-4 back to Buffalo. 6 of the 7 front seven are already here: DE- Stroud DE- Williams/Kelsay NT- draft in '10 OLB- Schoebel OLB- Maybin ILB- Poz ILB- Mitchell
