  1. Now you're talking! I've wanted coaches film for years.... The film doesn't lie. You can see protection schemes, missed blocks, missed receivers and the open/closed running lanes. Playbook is, by far, the best X's and O's NFL show on TV. Pregame shows are for wanna-be reality stars or big mouth ex-players.
  2. Go back and watch the video again. Pause it at the :09 second mark. Clearly there are 3 defenders lined up over the left gaurd and left tackle. This is Trent's fault..period. You can't blame an out-manned front for missing an assignment. Audible to something short or a draw and the disaster is averted. This is QB-101 crap that I learned in high school let alone at the college or pro level.
  3. Pathetic - from Miriam Webster, line 3..... "pitifully inferior or inadequate." http://www.merriam-webster.com/netdict/pathetic Using the true definition of the word, you're telling me the Bills offense minus the hurry up TD to Roscoe wasn't pathetic? Trent Edwards wasn't pathetic? The O-line wasn't pathetic? Maybe I watched a different game or my TV was upside down.
  4. They sure didn't, but you predicted 9-7 didn't you? By default, that makes you a koolaid drinker... Open your eyes, this team is miles away from 8-8
  5. Hopeful? You're confusing hopeful with deranged. This team is !@#$ing awful.....5-11 would be a blessing.
  6. Where to start with this mess.... 3-4 defensive ends are not pass rushers. Once in a while a Bruce Smith or Mario Williams comes along, but it's a short list. Andra Davis is a run stopper, nothing more. he had 5 sacks once, followed by 3.5 as his personal bests. http://www.nfl.com/players/andradavis/profile?id=DAV121395 The pass rush from the 3-4 is provided by the OLB's or a combination of secondary blitz packages. The Bills D in 2010 is a carbon copy of the Steelers, with much less talent. I would venture to guess Donte Whitner has more sacks than Andra Davis in 2010 playing the Polamalu role.
  7. Great logic... Now the offense runs draws and screens all day and kill the D with huge plays. You can't run blitz the whole game, you'll get out-witted.
  8. If you feel 2009 was "rock bottom", take some time and research the 1984-85 Bills. Sully is right, that was a well thought out, truthful article. 6-10 is the reality of 2010. 8-8 being the best case scenario. This team is, once again, 2 years away from be a playoff challenger.
  9. If it's week 17 and the win means a playoff spot for the Dolphins, then yes. Week 1 of a looooong, arduous season, no.
  10. Ahhh...The Dean. The infamous "I'll play both sides of the argument" poster. At what point did I say the Bills would do worse than 2009? The Bills were 6-10 in 2009. I predict 5-11 or 6-10 again...what gives? I am eternally loyal to this franchise. I support them whole-heartedly, I buy season tickets year after year and I hope for the best, but I am a realist... This team, on paper or otherwise is marginally better than the 2009 version. - The O-line is still a project. - The secondary receiving option has regressed or disappeared. TO is gone, Hardy is a bust, Josh Reed is gone. - The transition to the 3-4 will have growing pains. The Bills have 4-3 LB's playing a 3-4 scheme. I believe it will be a worthwhile switch after another draft & free agency period. - The Bills defense has yet to prove it can stop the run. Miami and the Jets run the ball with great success. - Brady and the Patriots are very healthy. Welker is back, Moss has another year and they added Gronkowski. If we're debating the wild card outlook for 2011, I'm on board for a run. 2010 is a transition year.
  11. Recess is over ultimate homer.... Based purley on 2009 stats. (stats are numbers that tell the truth, not homer-induced pipe dreams) Dolphins & Jets ranked 17 & 20 in total offense....Bills 30th Dolphins $ Jets ranked 20 & 31 in passing offense...Bills 29th. Dolphins & Jets ranked 4 & 1 in rushing offense...Bills 16th. Dolphins & Jets ranked 18 & 8 in rushing defense...Bills 30th. Now the average homer's response it to say....The Bills got better, Skeletor is gone, CJ Spiller is the next Barry Sanders, Trent Edwards is refreshed, The Jets look bad on hard knocks, Henne sucks, Thomas Jones is gone or whatever else you can come up with while your stoned in your mom's basement. The fact of the matter is the Bills are middle of the road at best, in every meaningful NFL stat. Keep preaching wild card sermon....the pundits will all come come runnng soon!
  12. Here's a start... 1. Established QB or running game. 2. Offensive line not made out of spare parts. 3. Offensive and/or defensive systems already in place. 4. Defenses that aren't ranked 32nd against the run. 5. Legitimate receiving options beyond 1st WR (Lee Evans).
  13. So the Bills sweep The Jets and the Dolphins and beat the Pats once? 5-1 in the division...get the !@#$ outta here! Wild card??? You're a straight-up homer. This team is 5-11 or 6-10...period.
  14. ha...rotoworld. I'm not sure if it's football gossip or an online plumbing store. Good find, but Schobel is a non-story at this point. Hasn't practiced in over a year and he thinks he can just walk on the field? Good luck Aaron.
  15. Are these serious predictions? Maybe the Bills go 3-3 in division. I feel 2-4 is a safe bet. So the Steelers, Colts, Pats, Chargers, Ravens, Jets and Texans don't appear to be better than the Bills? Bills status quo.... Average QB Below average offensive line. Defense converting from cover 2 garbage to 3-4. i appreciate your optimism, but 6-10 would be a great season in 2010.
  16. He was still in "the haze" phase. Once he started thinking clearly again, it was all downhill.
  17. That's what a 7th round pick is....an unproven prospect at best. How many 7th rounders stay in this league for more than one season, maybe 10%???
  18. No, not true. That would be Eklund on Hockeybuzz.com He truly throws anything on God's green earth out there as a rumor. Schefter was well respected on NFL network and has continued the same at ESPN. He's right way more than he's wrong...
  19. Why do you blame Schefter for doing his job? He does this for a living & he's pretty damn good at it.
  20. Simple. You actually get the player with a trade. A cut player can sign wherever he chooses. He's worth a 7th round flyer in 2011.
  21. Old & slow.....no thanks. Does it really matter? The Bills are 1-2 years and a QB away from being anything more than 8-8. New offense and new defense = 5-11
